- Walton Goggins is one of the best actors but is he really underrated? From his most prominent roles like The Shield and Justified to cameos like John Bronco and Sons of Anarchy. These are just some parts Walton has played.

What was the first thing you saw Walton Goggins in?
I saw predators he was the prisoner on death row. He was so funny
The Shield
The Cherokee Kid with Sinbad as a bank robber. He did the same type of role in Shanghai Noon...
The Shield was an absolute masterpiece and he was a big reason for it.

I love Fallout and the show but most of all I love seeing Goggins finally getting his flowers.
Anyone who can play Boyd Crowder and also Venus VanDam...has got incredible range as an actor.
Cletus Vandam was better.
Lol damn that's crazy, I pretty much said the same exact thing about Goggins playing that character from SOA on someone else's comment for this video. He is ridiculously talented! 💯
He makes any show better with him in it. Justified & Righteous Gemstones is peak
Venus Van Damme in 'Sons Of Anarchy".
He was the best thing on the shield and that's sayin a lot! 😊
*JUSTIFIED* .. watch it. Walton Goggins is my favorite character in it. This show has the best casting hands-down of any show ever.
Timothy Olyphant is very likeable.. but there was always something about him that I didn't like and I couldn't put my finger on it.
My MOM finally nailed it one day.. "Oh.. that's that guy with the sh**-eating grin" omg!😂😂 she nailed it.
The reason I watched Justified to the end😊
I really liked them both honestly. After watching the whole show it taught me how to s*** talk better with a sly undertone. The relationship between these two and that show is truly magical and you don't see that very often. It was like yin and yang. Two very smart very resilient very resourceful very dangerous men going after each other. It truly was Batman and joker level stuff
Dude I feel EXACTLY the same way about Olyphant and I don’t know why, I really stopped liking the character at the end. Both the character, AND Olyphant’s “forced” acting, I honestly think Goggins got to his head and changed his acting style, which explains the rumors of their bad blood towards the end of the show.
Kinda a bummer when you look back and realize Olyphant got him into it. Zero fault on Goggins, again, I think it just got to Olyphant’s head. 🫤
Actually it was probably the realization that your role as the star and main character of a career-changing gig has been overshadowed by a guy that was supposed to be killed off 6 seasons ago. That would kinda piss me off too, I suppose. 😂
@@EstorilEmI’m pretty sure Walton’s excited for season to of City Primeval so i wouldn’t expect them to have bad blood if that’s the case
Boyd Crowder of "Justified" is one of the greatest characters ever on television, and his arc of change and growth, where you never really know if he's become good or is just faking, is one of the most compelling and fascinating performances I've seen. You never know what Boyd is thinking, you never know where his loyalties lay, and maybe even he doesn't know. Definitely worth watching.
You had me at Goggins.
Put Walt Goggins in Joker Purple.
Yes
He's got the look. Joker might sound a little Southern for Gotham
He can talk without using his southern accent. That big smile he makes has Joker written all over it 😏
Yaasss
It is HIGH TIME he got his recognition.
Justified would not have made it out of the pilot without Goggins
Agreed - I didn’t know Olyphant got him on the show, don’t they have kinda bad blood now? Goggins indeed stole it - not intentionally, he was just cast exceptionally well. Boyd IS Goggins. Olyphant? Not as believable. And as I’ve said before, he seemed to really be trying too hard as the show went on. I honestly think Goggins made him uncomfortable to act around, it wasn’t as natural for Olyphant - but honestly, it seemingly isn’t as natural for any actor.
I have to agree with your assessment. He is a very versatile actor who excels in almost every genre of storytelling. As far as people's perception of him as being underrated, I personally disagree with this assessment as he has been in a lot of prominent movies and TV shows and has success equal to that of his costar on Justified: Timothy Olyphant. I think the reason why people think Walton is underrated is that he isn't someone who has much of a presence outside of his work on screen. Compared to Timothy Olyphant who is very popular outside of his work due to his frequent appearances on Conan where he displays charisma and a great sense of humor, Walton Goggins is very low-key and stays out of the limelight as much as possible. This gives people the perception that he is underrated. Anyways that's my hypothesis and would love to hear anyone else's opinion on the matter.
Walton was amazing in The Shield
Walter Goggins is masterful
Walton is the BEST!!!!! ANYTHING YOU SEE HIM IN IS GREAT !!!!!🎉🎉🎉
He is fuck*ng awesome!
Always thought due to his role in Justified that he could do a pretty good Joker. He can go from having a calm conversation to full blown Psycho in 3 seconds. Besides, he's got the teeth for it...
Walton Rocks !!!!!!
A lot of people have never heard of Walton Goggins. Everybody knows Boyd Crowder. He’s awesome.
I think the movie he did with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Damage, was really, really good. One of the most underrated movies I've seen.
He can get do a lot of different acting opportunities. He is smart, but sticks to things he likes. Would love to see him, go bigger. But man.. he is good. He wants to do his thing, and he knows his stuff, but he can so so much more. He’s awesome, and just think he is focused and likes to watch out for something that grabs him. He’s awesome. Would like to see him in a bigger thing, but he is just amazing
Tbh when you actually look at his career over the last 34 years....its actually impressive yeah sure some of his early work was short or barely seen low production & whatnot, but his resume is quite impressive in actuality, love everything hes done myself 😁👍
Goggins in the hateful 8 or in fat Man was OP- but don’t sleep on Vice Principles - his best role with Kenny powers
Walton is an Outlaw. Love him in those rolls.
He'll go down as one of the best.
He always the cowboy guy to me. Shanghai noon, cowboys & aliens, Django, Hateful 8, Fallout
His one liners and delivery are pure gold.
He played Shane as one of the most evil people on TV, but managed to give him a semi-sympathetic twist at the end.
Goggins isn't underrated by the industry. He's underrated by the general public
Came to say this exact thing. They're two distinctly different things.
Boyd Crowder is one of the best characters in television history.
At the end of the first episode I said out loud. "I hope Wally sticks around for this show". He did not disappoint
Uwielbiam tego pana
First saw him on the Shield. That would be awesome seeing him as uncle Rico!
That’s Shane Vendrell….aka Cletus VanDamn
I have such a thing for Walton! He's just so sexy. My favorite character he's played as is Boyd Crowder,..closely followed by Cooper/the Ghoul in Fallout. I just watched The Hateful 8 then Django:Unchained, which he was in both of.
I'm trying to find the Shield to watch but it seems it isnt available to stream.
I'm also thinking of doing s collection of every one of his films. I have every film with Johnny Depp,..even the one that was banned in the US due to it being about a snuff film. The Brave. Now you can get it or maybe stream it,but I dont think so.
I'll watch anything with him in it!
He's a versatile actor for sure. He plays different characters, target than playing Walton Goggins as that character.
I'd love to see him in a movie along side Nicholas Cage and William Fichtner.
Yeah, he has this same thing that Micheal Kelly has. I feel like these dudes should be in way more things than they're in.
this guy is great.
much like JK Simmons.
Just about finished Justified, started because I've always liked Olyphant but kept watching because Goggins stole the whole damn show!
Love that guy!!
Besides GI Joe and Hateful Eight he has been perfect. I can't see any of the characters he has played filled by anyone else.
I prefer him like a drama actor in justified
Fatman, I mean seriously could anyone else play a hitman hired to kill Santa Claus? I think if more people knew just how dark and awesome that performance was, it would be a more popular movie.
I liked him in The Unicorn.
No contest, Boyd Crowder id his best character
I wonder why that unicorn sitcom never found success
It was at the start of the studio's jump into cancel culture. White, straight, male was not to be tolerated. Viewership was as good as returning shows even as they began sabotaging it with changes.
He needs to play trevor in gta5 cause he could pull that off
Also how does this guy look like jim carry and jack nicolson at the same time?
Think it was The Shield i first saw him, with that forehead ,oh you just said the shield .
he's the best

Please don't use underrated. That is such a poorly misused term these days.
Goggins is *NOT* underrated. He's always highly praised for all of his performances. However, he is *definitely* overlooked. I believe that's the much better term here.
First thing I saw Goggins in was The Shield and I've loved him ever since!
Yeah I agree. I couldn’t believe people thought he was.
He was so good as the ghoul
