I appreciate his perspective on his approach to the role in Fallout. It’s important to have a team that cares about the source material to create a faithful setting; but that’s not his job, he needs to focus on bringing his character to life.
@@douggieharrison6913 well the main perspective he brings is trying to make it so even if you arent into the lore you can understand the show so he doesn't want to know anything besides whats on the script given to him and that probably improves the show
I've already watched the first season twice, and clearly, whoever was in charge of the show is a fan of the games. The details and references are outstanding. The producers and/or directors know the source material. And Walton is just an amazing actor.
His charisma is off the charts. He somehow manages to come off as incredibly confident and humble at the same time. I can’t wait to see him in the White Lotus.
Such a talented, thoughtful actor. I'm so happy that more and more people are recognizing just how versatile and brilliant an actor he is. He is popping up everywhere and long may it continue!
I have to say, I love the fact that he is just being real and professional, instead of pretending that he knows stuff about the games or lore that he doesn't. If you can play a character that feels real, and the writing is dedicated to source material, then let it fly.
This is so incredible! One of the most genuine and authentic career movie breakdown of Ever heard. I was getting choked up an emotional just listening to how passionate Walton is about all of his roles and how much it all means to him and that he literally living his dream.
The final scene of Justified is one of my all time favorite show endings. The closing of the story to bring it back around with Raylen and Boyd was absolutely perfect.
"My job is not to protect the player's experience. I didn't know about the game." - Despite this, he, whether accidentally or intentionally, created one of the best characters across the entire Fallout universe, game and show combined. Truly a masterpiece of a performance.
Really happy to see him start to get recognition. First seen him in Sons of Anarchy then Django, hateful 8 and finally fallout. Really love him as an actor
I love Walton Goggins!! Every time I am explaining to my dad that he’s going to be in something we’re watching, I always quote his character in The Hateful Eight “you mean to tell me the president of the United States wrote you a letter?” 😂… He is great in everything he’s in!!! Even his voice acting in Invincible!!
Walton Goggins is one of barely a handful of actors that I can watch and truly feel like his characters are real. Jon Bernthal when he was getting tortured in punisher and Riz Ahmed when he is meeting Saw Gerrera in Rogue One gave me the same feelings. He is seriously underrated as an actor
I love how Walton remembers a lot of writers and crew etc. names and such. Very human and humbling. He’s actually been a no nose individual before. In maze runner 3.
He is so great at every role he plays, a true actor in it for the love of it. And his role in Fallout was phenomenal. I love his honesty in this interview.
When people ask who you think is an underrated actor that should get more recognition. I say Walton Goggins. He has had a great career and some iconic parts (Shane, Boyd stand out) but it feels like he is always a bit under the radar.
THE SHIELD was one of the most ground-breaking series ever, and we should all be so thankful to FX for pushing it forward. Shawn Ryan, Kurt Sutter, Chiklis, Goggins, Shepherd... all of them. Even the seasonal cameos never phoned it in. If you've never seen it, I personally think it's better than Sopranos, The Wire, and other revered prestige TV.
The Shield laid the groundwork for so many amazing FX shows. Especially Sons of Anarchy. Another Walton Goggins character masterpiece. How that character wasn’t a bonus at the end I’ll never understand.
he nailed it when talking about fallout. he's an actor. i know some people get bent outta shape if the actor hasnt played the game or read the book or whatever but his job is to act. it's to the writers and show runners to handle the lore etc
I've loved this guy ever since I saw him in Justified. Terrific presence and can be really scary if he wants to. Hey GQ, I keep getting the same 2 ads on all your videos. They're the same "If you like to travel..." ad for Capital One card. The 1st one is unskippable, then it repeats and can be skipped. I have not gotten any other kind of ad, just that one, twice, every time. Talk to RUclips!
Absolutely. In the day and age if short attention span, this is much appreciated. And the format lends itself to it if the person in front of the camera is willing to just let it flow. Be a sacrilege to cut it up.
@@aeonsparxx9283 It's a Justified reference. When he has some verbal back and forths with one of the other crime bosses, he says something like "I've been called many things, inarticulate ain't one of them", which is what txbill2512 alludes to.
About time Walton Goggins got some recognition. He’s an excellent actor who never disappoints and deserves even more pivotal roles. He’s brilliant in a serious role and effervescent in comedy roles.

Exactly and I love that he doesn’t pretend to be a gamer. He’s genuine and honest about it.
It helps to understand the universe your character is in but he's a G

that's like doing cover songs, you don't have to understand the composer's mind. you just do you & that's why it's interesting, even if it "fails"

I love how he says "play" so much. It's great you can tell he's having fun with it.
Detested him in The Shield. Which was exactly the point and he played it so well. It was a great show!!
Same
He speaks so well and with so much passion that I watched 37 minutes and it felt like 20. I could hear him talk for hours
Put Walton Goggins and Sam Rockwell on screen together. PLEASE!
That would be gold
In a western!
They were both in Cowboys and Aliens. Can't remember if they shared the screen tho
Add Ben Foster to that mix and I'd be in heaven
this is exactly what i was thinking
dude is seriously one of my favorite supporting actors. I love him in every role and I'm just finding out his name today through this video
This guy is so passionate about his job and handles it in such a cool way, a true artist.
I knew this dude was cool but I didn’t realize just how cool he is
Wow! That was spectacular! Thank you! Goggins is an amazing individual +actor
The final scene of Justified is one of my all time favorite show endings. The closing of the story to bring it back around with Raylen and Boyd was absolutely perfect.
Love the stories and hearing the heart and passion in his voice. Great video!!!!

The definition of "National Treasure".

You will enjoy this for sure. It's intense.
Unfortunately, you saw a huge spoiler while watching this.
He’s so genuine and respectul ! What a great actor ! How can you NOT love him forever ?! 🙏💙🙏

I REALLY wanted to hear him talk about his role in Sons of Anarchy. Loved his role in that.
National Treasure Walton Goggins. Fix your title, the people demand it.

One of my favorite actors of all time. Its the Shield and Justified for me
“Is that you Chris Mannox?”
Is that the head of Major Marquis Warren ?
"well cut my legs off and call me shorty!!"
I need to rewatch this movie now
Is that the sheriff of red rock?
Walton Goggins is insanely talented with legendary memorable roles and easily one if not THE funniest actors on The Righteous Gemstones
He is so great at every role he plays, a true actor in it for the love of it.
And his role in Fallout was phenomenal. I love his honesty in this interview.
When this guy's on the screen I do not look away.
The Hateful Eight is one of my favorite movies so it goes hand in hand to root for Goggins in all of his endeavors, great actor!
He portrayal of Venus Van Dam in Sons of Anarchy was amazing and he was the reason I loved Justified so much
Been a fan of Goggins for ages. So happy he's getting to share his talent with us.
Intoxicating level of passion
Goggins is phenomenal, the Hateful Eight is what made me love him.
His role of Venus on SoA deserves to be on this video. His performance was award worthy.
Walton & Kim Coates should have gotten Emmys for their performance as Venus & Tig!
Unbelievable and iconic actor. Stay Blessed 🙏
I've loved Walton ever since Justified was on the air. I'm so glad he's finally getting the recognition and love that he deserves!
coincidentally, I rewatched The Shield last couple of weeks, it holds up 20 years later. amazing show, WG really embodies his character wholly.
Loved Walton in Last Days of Ptolemy Grey. An underrated actor in an underrated show
Goggins is one of those actors who i always enjoy watching, dude is a freaking legend.
I've watched and enjoyed Walton Goggins performance since The Shield, he's such a great actor.
“That’s for you to decide and I don’t want to know your answer.”

How dare you not include Sons of Anarchy
Thinking the same thing! Lol
🤣🤣🤣 bruh ain't trying to remember that
One of the wildest to behold, such a G. Great eyes, hands and pure hilarity.
I love righteous gemstones and vice principals because of Walton. That smartass southern drawl hooks me everytime ❤

Raylin and Boyd will forever be the best southern rolls ever done and Boyd was the show💯💯💯
Legitimately one of the best actors in the world.
Over these years every time I saw Walton in a movie I knew it was going to be a great watch lol
Such a great voice. ❤❤
He’s seems like a really cool fella and so far everything I’ve seen him in I dig.
🍻
Goggins acting and character helps shape Fallout big time. Excellent actor and I hope this spring boards his career.
Walton Goggins is so effortlessly funny. I was so pumped to hear he was going to be in the fallout show, and he did not disappoint
My favorite actor.
I'm gonna rewatch Vice Principals. Loved that show.
As much as I admire every one of his characters, I am in awe of his depiction of Venus Van Dam. I would love to hear him speak of her.
He is EVERYWHERE this year.
Such a great actor
Vice Principals is so underrated... One of my top 10 shows of all time FO SHO
If Walton is in a movie/show I already know it’s going to be worth watching.
Walton talking about the precision of a Tarantino script had me smiling.
His Sam Jackson impression 30:08 😂 Classic moment
Uncle Baby Billy is arguably the funniest television character of all time
After all these years, I finally know this guy’s name
Definitely one of my favorite actors
finally getting the recognition he deserves. this guy is one of the best

Came for Fallout, stayed for Walton's amazing stories and life lessons.
A very underrated actor
Finally a person worth the platform 🤲

My opinion is that his character in Vice Principals is the funniest character of any TV show ever. If you haven't watched it, you must.
HA! Just saw WALT Goggins young as could be on rerun of "In the Heat of the Night."
Best episode yet
such a talent
When he is on screen noone looks away. He has ☆it☆
he loves his job, and you can see it and hear it
I love his stance on southern culture. It has been depicted in stereotypical ways through hollywood
is he really that understanding and kind of a person, or is it all an act? Either way he's an unbelievable actor.
I love Walton, Justified is an amazing show and Boyd is certainly the best character on it!!
Just saw "Forever Young," (1992) and Mr. Goggins plays the MP Guard talking to Mel Gibsons character. Lol
i just adooorrreeee him
Walton finally getting his flowers. It is impossible to not smile whenever he's on screen.
There’ll come a payday….
stop talking like a black
what about him in django unchained lmao
He’s the GOAT

I would listen to a 100+ hour audiobook if Walton Goggins was the narrator.
Never listened to any interviews of him before, had no idea his real voice was so soothing
Lonesome Dove series plz
Underrated comment by a factor of 1,000.
100+hr autobiography please
