- This is another Q&A from me! I really love these revert Muslim Q&A's so I can answer the questions that you have for me and hopefully help you on your journey to Islam, being a New Muslim, or if you are a born Muslim and interested.

I actually converted just from reading the Quran. I believe a lot of people come to or stay in the religion because of the Quran. Its a Solid foundation. Even if you don't understand all the stories it has a lot of lessons about morality, importance of use of intellect in religion, dedication to truth, justice, peace, and good values. To me it is a miracle when I read it. I feel peace and connected to Allah when I read it. Everybody is different though. Really happy for you sister. Salamualaikum 🙂 Stay strong to your faith bro. I hope your family would be guided by the almighty God as well. Many people out there will bash you and will say that you were just brainwashed but i believe your logic and willingness to accept change such as switching to a different religion are the first rites of passage to Islam. Do not let other people hurt you or stay away from the truth if they will talk badly about your beliefs.
Honestly I would recommend you give it a chance and read the whole thing. The 1st chapter is only eight verses and it is a prayer for guidance. The 2nd chapter starts the answer to the prayer. Even if you read the whole 2nd chapter it would give you a kind of half decent overlay of the religion. The Quran is actually amazingly timeless and practical. when I read it I thought the author was a genius. It tells us to read all of it and follow the best of it. Its not right to nitpick. You have to read the whole thing to see everything in context and really appreciate it. Islamophobes are always misquoting the Quran to make it seem nonsensical and push their agenda. It doesn't have contradictions. Literally tells the purpose of life if you read the whole thing. You have to admit if someone made the universe its not hard to believe they would have no problem controlling the rain lol. Quran 21:30 "Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?" I admit it's open to interpretation but the Quran has a lot of strangely profound verses like that one. For the most part translations are all pretty similar. The most important thing is the basic values. Websites exist like Quran Corpus you can see 7 translations side by side. I assure you I didn't change my whole life on a whim. It was extremely hard to accept the religion. I knew I would have to tell my friends and family about it. They would think I had lost it. Which is probably what you think ha. If I denied it I would of been a liar. I'm not blind to how the west see's Islam. I had a negative perception of Islam most of my life. If someone had told me Muslims were upon any kind of truth I would of called them nuts lol. Was never part of my plan to become one but, I've been one for at least 8 years. I don't believe a guy in 7th century Arabia could of wrote the Quran. I do feel ya its hard to not get frustrated with people of different opinion but we shouldn't become so tribalistic and fanatical that we don't treat others right. Whether Muslim or not. Were all just trying to live the best way we know how. Sadly Muslims are one of the greatest deterrents of Islam. Wow I didn't mean for this to be so long. I really do think you should read the whole Quran though. Well anyways I hope you live a life of peace my friend whatever that might be for you.

Love by A. Helwa! This books talks about all the secrets of Islam, how to love Allah, our prophet, our religion. And her way of writing makes me wanna keep reading. It's just beautiful. ❤️❤️

I converted a few years ago and it has not been great. When I go to the mosque people are practically running to get in and out, are very distant and unfriendly and say hello only to each other and look at me like I don’t belong there. That’s been my experience.. glad yours has been much more positive!!

Sister. That was really a motivational speech of yours and heart touching as usual. Talk about losing friends after stepping into Islam, I think when Allah becomes a friend of his servant. Does the servant then needs other friends. After all it's about the spiritual connection between you and God. When heart is fulfilled with his divine light. I guess that's all we are looking for.
