Her voice is addictive.
so much depth in her voice
"Life is too short to be smashing things up in a pestle and mortar." Words to live by
I completely disagree with this and felt that it minimizes traditional, inherited cooking techniques.
+jnnlis
I like my pestle and mortar
+An Thai I'm busy. I have time.
👍
+YSV Rao exactly

Asian Nigella Lawson
There was certainly some "sizzling action"
was just thinking that!
Indians generally don't like to think of themselves as Asian
They are from the Continent of Asia so why wouldnt they ?
assassintwinat8 south Asian!
Who doesn't love Indian cuisine?! This looks delicious!
Thanks tons. I'd hard to bel;ieve :-P
I tried this and omg it's sooo good.😰
Film
I could smell that through my iPhone all the way from Sweden.... Wow! How could you not love this?
Brilliant. Ha ha.
Should have said 'through my iPhone sssss+++ ++ with 500 gb of internal memory that I brought with $1500'
Is it a new iphone feature?😅

or Ilish bhapa (Ground Mustard steamed Hisla)
Awesome video none the less..

I love how you explain along the way why certain steps are being taken, they may come in handy in other indian recipes as well

Anthony Yan What a lovely thing to say.
poohead970 lol what a nice thing to say aswell. now fuck off out of here "poohead"
+poohead970 Jesus what a vocabulary u have developed in ur 12 years of life
SHIV GAMES I'm 8 you idiot
+poohead970 You are aware you are only emphasizing his comments by telling him you are even younger right? it was his/her crude way telling you that you were a child and here you are confirming.
Anyway, this meal I have to try. I dont know where I will find Rotti to compliment the chicken so I will just eat it with plain ole bread or some rice :)
Just made this with boneless chicken thighs (I thought they had bones until I opened the pack) and coconut milk instead of the cashew paste - turned out fantastic!
Cashews and coconut milk are both authentic to indian cuisine. Just depends on what part of the huge country dish comes from
Brilliant. Thank you! You have a wonderfully calming presence and a love of food that shines through. MORE!
I made this recently, this recipe is absolutely the bomb. So good. Frying up those whole spices makes all the difference. Tidy.
She's great. And her hair is #goals
love her energy and attitude
Mallika needs her own show.
We need more of you! I could watch this all day
Love it! More videos from Mallika Basu, please!
Excellent recipe. - Made 2 batches where I replaced the yogurt with coconut cream to make a dairy free dish. The coconut dish had a natural sweetness which was nice and had none of the sourness of the yogurt dish.
wow!! thank you sir
I'm gonna do it dairy free also as I am lactose intolerant but I'll add vinegar for the sourness. I do like it!
Werner Sevenster thanks !!
I so love Malika's accent
i like her style!
Congratulations Mallika, for your FoodTube debut, I quite literally had to wipe the slobber from the right side of my mouth, and didn't realize that I was in fact drooling until I looked down at my sleeve. You ma'am are welcome here!
Aww shucks, thanks Scott Miller , that's really kind and funny!! x
Her energy is amazing. Got me craving a good curry nw
I LOVE Indian flavors! I have a friend who came from Pakistan and is a truck driver here in the US. Whenever he came my way, he would bring me out to eat at an Indian restaurant. This reminds me of that! I need to make this!
I bet he knew the best place to take you too! Please recreate this at home now, and let me know how you go x
He's awesome! Hadyat Masih is his name. One time he took me to an Indian spice store because he always spoke of the health benefits of Turmeric (he called it by a different name). While there he bought me a tin with a massive amount of saffron in it. It was a wad about the size of a golf ball!
I will make this and definitely let you know how I make out. I really love to cook different things.
I don't even like indian food, but that made my mouth water.
I love the cashew paste idea! What a wonderful recipe!
That looks absolutely amazing! I love the greek addition to the indian cuisine ;)

Mallika Love u, ur accent and ur recipe....
Now that is simple and amazing!!!!I like her and the recipe!!!!
that looked so good, thanks for showing us that dish
Adding 1 teaspoon of poppy seed paste in your korma gravy makes it more delicious. Also incorporating heavy cream raise the dish to an elevated level.
That's not korma mate
agreed thats a different curry entirely
what an Indian Nigella Lawson

Hi Kay Charlotte Fischer my absolute pleasure. Please do trial a Navratan Korma or nine gems korma with carrots, paneer, beans, peas and whole cashews and raisins. It's divine...

Keep the videos coming. So far, what I have seen of Indian cooking - some of it, not all - is that it is diabetic friendly, or can be modified to make it so.
I invented the pestle and mortar and I'm very offended.
+elroraps lol
I made this dish, it was delish!!! Thanks Mallika for sharing such a beautiful recipe.❤
Wow this looks amazing.
