I think I'll just save go a dslr if I'm going to do all that work. :) But I still think its a good option.
Hey can u make another how to get/buy bits on mobile? Because it is updated rn
buy mine , I NEED BETTER:)) HEHE
Does this work for Xbox series s?
This is crazy because I literally was researching this camera this morning and you posted a video
Hopefully I gave you some good insight on making a decision for it
Video: “everything you need to know BEFORE buying the Logitech brio”
Me watching this video AFTER I bought the Logitech brio: 👁👄👁
Hahaha well at least now you know the features of your new mic. Thanks for watching!
Same
This is about as good as a review could possibly be. I absolutely loved your demonstrations to show exactly what you were talking about. Great work man!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I'm looking for a simple webcam that simply clips to the top of my monitor but it looks like all of these usb webcams are quite terrible compared to a dslr + capture card. I suppose this is not a huge issue since I already have all of the equipment but I'm really trying to minimize the amount of gear I would have to bring on the go.
Out of all the Webcams - the Brio is the best I have come across
This was super helpful. Thank you so much! 👍😁
Brooooo I love your videos but the intro and background to this one is soooo good made a nice difference good job 🔥 also videos on point as always 😁
vid really helped me out with webcam settings with the auto exposure tips! THANK YOU!
Happy to help!
Hey, I just want to tell you, that I enjoy your Videos a lot because I really want to improve my Streams and at that point I have to thank you for your RUclips Content. It helped me a lot and yeah, please keep going.
Hey do you have any advice on how to get the cam into a square output? I only have this
rectangular shape in obs where as before with the c920 I always got the square image. Ty!
So, I got the brio and the daylight/lighting problem is real. During the daytime the cam looks really good, once I need to get extra lighting (which I dont have) the cam looks like a built in laptop cam from 2002. The footage is SUPER grainy.
I've been using the Brio for quite a while now and I am happy with it. I just do simple comic review vlogs and quite stationary. But you definitely hit it on the head. I had to get a set of studio lights to light my environment (basement) properly because where I film has no real light. But still since I got those lights I've been happy.
great video thanks!
Great video, great tips for buying the Logitech BRIO. I will buy one because I think your review is the best that I was looking for to get convinced.
Excellent job of reviewing the camera. To the point, no bs, sample streams, and providing more value thanks to suggestions of alternative. Like
Thank you for this! The "exposure lag" issue is really causing me problems. You're the only person I've seen mention it!
Blessup W4G...During the pandemic ive hunted and found the Brio 4k apple version what was left...
it works on my PC perfectly, but got put back in the box til a few days ago when I came across it and like how did not use this....
got a boom stand and lights...so I guess its time to stream LIVE with my face lol! this video helped a lot in 2023
Heck ya buddy - Get that stream a-rolling and glad the video could still help in 2023.
Let me when you stream and I will see if I can stop by and support for a few 🔥
Perfect timing for this video just before xmas lol love ya
Glad I can come in clutch for ya buddy - Let me know what you think of it if you get it.
@@Wild4 Sure i will
Hey just got it today i think its very good cam but details are bit like shaky but i think its just something i am i think this is what will push my stream higher thank you for this vid
i just wanted to say that you do an EXCELLENT job at these videos. really really appreciate how thorough and objective you are. those real-time comparisons on white balance, etc., sold me as far as a subscriber.
Thanks for then in-depth and honest review. You covered topics I wouldn't even think about!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Just bought this camera, can't wait to try it out
I just got the brio and I have the elgato capture card but not sure how to setup to show on my elgato can anyone tell me how to do it?
Omg thank u i was thinking about the brio but the reviews are pretty old so i avoided it thanks for the vid keep up the good work
The Brio is actually one of the best on the marked for livestreams still in 2020 so I bought one. I almost bought a GoPro but the 7 and 8 are so expensive and you need extra equipment to get good audio quality. The Brio just needs a cheap spot and a streaming program like OBS Studio and you`re good to go via your laptop or pad.
Do you know if it works well with the Green screen on OBS?
I use my brio for a over the top cam. The brio looks from above in my room. Looks awesome.
hey - what camera are you using for the first 4 minutes of the video?
thanks for the information. Looks like for streamers that move around needs adjustments but for business meetings where usually you video call colleagues, customers should meet or exceed the expectations.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Got it as my very first stream cam last year (and really for a nice price, like 90 €) and I'm quite content with it. It works also pretty good for me with everything on auto that offers that option though (white balance, focus, etc.). I did not have the need to change that so far. Thanks for the advice though. Will check that out.
Awesome Grab, Glad to help you out where I can :)
thank you for all that infos
Glad to help you out buddy
hey wild im thinking of getting a camera for handcam streams on twitch do u have any recommendations?
@Peakzyz don't buy 30fps cams for handcam lol
Great video. Do you have a link or better yet a video of how the lighting (and brand you're using) in this video are positioned. Would love to recreate it.
Links are in the video descriptions below. I will see what I can do to make a video on lighting setups for you 👍
When I record in 4k with this camera, the video and audio are not in sync on playback. My voice and mouth don't match. what am I doing wrong?
I’m interested in this camera. I currently use Logitech C922. I tried Elgato FaceCam but it keeps freezing and won’t restart unless I turn my Laptop off-so it’s pretty useless to me because I can’t stream or record with the Elgato FaceCam-I’ve tried several things but still it won’t work so maybe this Logitech upgrade will be a solution
i am thinking about getting my first webcam but you said it was not a beginner webcam do you have any suggestions?
Nice video, thanks for sharing
few streamer on Twitch say there Brio's freeze frame and have to reset in stream (i have same problem with and old Obit af) is this the web cam or OBS soft wear like ley stream they tell you to post in there discord and a list pops up and say turn off these settings. OBS has a Configuration Wizard and says also this PC should run a 1080p stream set the setting but still legy so one has to degrade to 960p or 720p , this is sad. as the new 1080p cam just cam out, and you said 4k is not a stream 1080p and less as of now
your exposure will adjust both shutter speed and exposure so this affect the frame rate while the gain setting adjusts the iso on the camera
What cam are you using to make this youtube video?
with obs do you also need to use Logitech capture or Logitech G hub with this thing ?? thanks..
No you dont have too if you dont want too
Brio is a great camera for my LIVE streaming however even with Autofocus off...I have a "bumping" issue. Any clue as to what is causing this?
Its most likely cause you have White balance and low light on - Turn those off and you will be good to rock and roll
Nice video bro🙌
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Always gotta love the infomercial beginnings ❤️lol
Gotta hook yea
Thanks for the video man. I love my Brio but I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to adjust the video quality. I'm using a 2017 IMac. Do you know how to adjust between 4k and 1080 - and with 1080 how do you switch between 30fps and 60fps. I thought at one point I had things good to go but now things changed - not sure what happened or how to adjust things. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Download the logitech drivers :)
@@Wild4 Hey there, thanks so much for the reply. Yes I do believe I have the drivers for the camera. I have the program that lets you control your camera settings. However, there is nothing showing that will allow me to control the output of the camera - not even in the advance settings. Is there somethings I'm missing in this program? Thanks again for the reply.
I have run into the same issue with my camera quality on OBS for two years (I have a logitech brio). I have good internet (1000 up and down) and a very high spec pc. Though when i stream certain games (rocket league for example) my camera quality will become very grainy. I have auto optimized my settings on OBS, yet this issue still occurs. I can't figure out the cause at all, and its been very demotivating. Any solutions?
The exposure is what it’s name suggests. It controls the time the sensor uses to pick up light. If it’s exposing too long, you will end up with parts of the e posure for frame in one or even multiple following frames. Because of this, you have parts of the exposure for one frame in the following frame(s) which is visible as the ghosting-/smearing-effect you were talking about.
If the footage is too dark with the brightest exposure setting, that doesn’t have smearing or ghosting, you have only two possibilities to brighten up the image. You either set a higher gain value - but this makes the noise of the image more visible - or you need more light. There is no other way to prevent that ghosting or smearing.
I've got the brio, and with some adjustments in obs settings, its a solid camera. Got an Elgato ring light for it and the quality is very good.
Nice! Glad to hear it's working well for you. Thanks for sharing!
You have helped me get to almost 250 followers in 2 months all your tips really do help.
GREAT FREAKING VIDEO BRO 💫
Appreciate it thanks for watching!
Hi. I´m currently using the Brio with my Mac Mini late 2014. It works fine, after handling the settings a bit (white balance, etc.). Great on Skype, for instance. Good image quality, and smooth video. But I found some issues when using the Brio on flash-based sites, such as videochat rooms. Even though the sites are supposed to be limited to 640p video (which is far below the Brio´s specs), the video is terribly laggy. Is there an explanation for that? I use the regular cable supplied by Logitech (USB-C to USB 3.0). Would things be better if, instead, I connect an Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor to the back side of the Brio, and then, a 2m-long Thunderbolt 2 cable to the Thunderbolt 2 port on the back side of the Mac Mini, and take it to the other end of the Apple Thunderbolt adaptor? Regards, and thanks for the review.
It might not be your brio. It might be how that video site encodes video
I plan to start taking video myself doing high detail drawings from an overhead perspective. These will basically be time lapse. Due to the detail I need to convey, 4k will be the only option. I am also considering a GoPro 8. Do you think either of these would work well? Do you know of any tripod that can support a camera that would hang 3 feet from the stand?
Thanks!
The brio will work fine for art but I would maybe recommend paying up for a DSLR/Mirrorless to get all the fine details/colors of your art. The GP8 is great but it will be too wide of an angle for art.
I know its pricey, but I would recommend the M50 ( geni.us/CanonM50Camera ) if you wanna do high quality YT art. Or the Canon M200 ( geni.us/CanonM200Camera ) if you are more into streaming art. But both are great starter Cams for art.
Hope that helps
That totally helps! Since I am experimenting with this idea, the dslr option is a bit out of my budget, but sounds like good upgrade path.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I have a question ,iwanna buy this cam but if i hate one thing is ifi move the screen turns white,i want a stable color.
Is any option fo this cam to turn off so if i move the light will colors not change?
Sounds like you may need to turn Auto White Balance off and Low Light off in property settings. Hope this helps!
@@Wild4 Thank you!
Thanks for the vid! Quick question: I have an Anker USB 3.1 dock with limited USB options onboard my gaming laptop. Will that cause any issues with performance?
To be honest I wouldn't know... Provided the dock can provide enough power to the camera, you should be fine.
Wild4Games appreciate the reply! Thank you!
Been watching for a while. Just realized I was one of those rascals who watch but wasn't subscribed. Fixed that problem. Killer vids bro. And this one in particular helped me make my decision. My new Brio is on the way :)
Thank you glad to hear. Thanks for watching!
what would you think would be good to use for straight from xbox one streaming?? i was between the logitech c920 or the brio
Brio is the best if you can afford it - But to be honest a C920 is a great place to start.
Thanks for the great video. I allready have a logitech brio and samsung galaxy S10e smartphone. I want to start creating youtube videos. Which camera would you recomend to use and why? thanks
You can start with that brio.... get your feet wet kinda style. Once you are ready to upgrade I would jump into a Canon M50 Class camera.... Super easy to understand and a great multi-tasker for content creators.
@@Wild4 thanks a lot, sounds good
Hey Wild, yeah the Logitech C920 has the same exposure issues, where if you bring up the exposure to much, frames drop really bad. Its been an on going issue for many many years with Logitech brand webcams.
Interesting, I dont think I have had that issue on my C920. I will have to check now :)
@@Wild4 Let me know what you find out. I know my C920 has that issue and a couple of the streamers I follow.
My Webcam is not being registered I am using the logitech brio and i cannot get it to be noticed I am using blue ports and i had bought it used i thought the cam was broke so i bought another but im having the same issue any idea on what is wrong
I have you tried another port or another comp yet?
Hey Dude! Thanks for this great vid. I am new to the Brio and OBS. I am trying to get a livestream of my solo acoustic music performance, no gaming or anything like that. I bought a Brio (overpriced during the pandemic) mainly for the 90 degree FOV and I am having a lot of problems getting good stream quality from it, especially when testing on various monitors, including the 1080p 52 in HDTV. Firstly when I open the Logitech camera settings app I don’t see any way to turn auto exposure off like you did. When I open in OBS (I’ve been studying OBS RUclips vids veraciously) and art my cam properties to 1080p 60fps and my output to the same it shows great stutter and lag inside OBS and on my RUclips test. Can you give some advice?
Use OBS to to configure the camera and not the logitech driver apps
If its lagging it either means you have it plugged into a weak power port or your cpu cant handle processing the image at that resolution. You have to test it out and see what it can handle
Wild4Games A simple switch from my Macbooks x264 encoder to it’s Apple VT H264 Hardware encoder seems to have done the trick, no question. It did what I had been reading about, taking the pressure off the CPU. For some reason I avoided making the switch. Still a little buggy at 1060p 60FPS though.
Can't find anywhere whether the Brio shoots interlaced video. Looks like it but I don't want to pay for a deinterlace program if I'm wrong
Here is there data Sheet: www.logitech.com/content/dam/logitech/en_us/video-collaboration/pdf/brio-datasheet.pdf
I gave you a thumbs up. But what I needed to know is the most basic thing. What software for the Mac do I use to adjust all the controls you are talking about.
I believe OBS is available on Mac you could try that. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the detailed review. I'm having issues where my Brio is only streaming at 720p when I'm on Google Hangouts, Zoom, etc. Where can I check the settings? Is there a specific software you use to adjust settings? I'm using Macbook Pro, USB 3.0, well lit room, etc. TIA!!
Noah Mishkin use OBS
Pri yon Joni I do when streaming, but still need to use other platforms when having video meetings.
How were you able to adjust the exposure? Out of the box the exposure is way too bright , and there's no exposure setting that I saw in logi capture or logitech camera settings..I can adjust brightness and contrast but that doesn't help.
Hi, I can't find the exposure too.... did you solved it ?
Heber Mantovani yes I downloaded Logitech G Hub and use that to adjust the settings
Solved =D, you need to install Logitech G Hub Software. In there it's possible deactive auto exposure.
this actually really helps me out in the sense i already have a brio which i bought only for the flex of face login lol but i may get a dslr down the line cuz im a gadget addict
DLSR cameras isn`t great for livestreams. It works for tutorials and vlogging but for livestreams you need a camera that doesn`t shut down every 10-15 minutes.
I can't find your charmander train video anymore or how to setup you go to fast
Does the Logitech Brio Work on a Xbox One ??? And if it works how do you change the Brio settings if it works on a Xbox 1. Would It be good for streaming on twitch on a xbox 1? I'm a beginner but I want the best quality
I have not tried on the XB1 - You would have to research and see if its a 3.0 port on the XB1
My brio freezes like crazy, I mean like there’s no real time at all. Just one frame per 10 seconds or per minute or not at all. I’ve been trying a lot of solutions, can’t find an answer
Holy thats fire😱
My monitor bezel is too small for it of my Dell U2027Q. This is why I return the webcam. Better to review this issue the next time too!
What mount you have? 🙏
can you rotate the camera w/o mounting it on a tripod or something like this?
Not really - best to have a mount for it so you have full range of the angles
So I’m kinda dumb and idk how to get to that page where you changed the temperature and focus so if anyone knows could u do me a solid and tell me
You go to the settings of camera in your broadcasting software (which may require you to right click your camera) click configure and there you go :)
How does this work on a Mac? The 4K that is
you cant connect cam link with brio right? even if you convert the c cable to hdmi with cam link?
Why would you need too? HDMI cables dont supply power where USB cables do
Does Logitech Brio work with usbc to usbc? My 2018 Apple laptop only has those ports. Thanks!
Its C to 2.0 But you might be able to get a converter and test it
Hey, would I be able to use this camera on a smart TV?(Sony X900H)
I did not test that - Check with the manufactures spec page
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching!
I got my brio and Killabee gaming chair I love them both thanks for the video
Glad I could help out
Thank you so much for this review. I've used a c510 and a c920 (my current one), and was VERY interested in the Brio when it rarely went on sale ($170 v. $200). I was scared away when another streamer friend stopped by and flat out said "NOPE" when discussing the camera options. The 920 requires some zoom and contrast changes, but I've gotten so much out of such a cheap and easy to use webcam. I would definitely caution people about the Brio for the price. This review brought out even more things I'd never seen before. Thank you!
*Note: Just checked Amazon, and it's $150. That's a much better price range for something like this, even if you can get 3 c920s for the same price.*
The Brio is an advance camera..... You will get the best colors and detail out of it IF you spend the time to fine tune it..... When you do, its well worth the money.
You said so many words in that comment but ultimately ended up saying nothing
Nice hairstyle man ima use it
Hell ya buddy - Go for it :)
Great video!
Thanks buddy - I am glad I can help you out.
Wild4Games you did man. I actually bought it the second I finished watching your vid! Subd!

Hey, Hate to annoy and ask but, whats good lightning for this? I want a relatively comfy low lighting situation, nothing so bright it will hurt my eyes or take me out of the game. The elgato key seems so bright perhaps?
Watch my Neewer 660 video
most videos about this came is about the 1080 60fp. I want to see the 4K quality with streaming and recording
i use the elgato key light will that be enough light or should o get a 2nd one ?
One will work but you will need to have it on like 85% or above
Wild4Games oki thanks for the info my c920 died im waiting black friday to get the brio :)

I list all the equipment I use in the description. Hope this helps thanks for watching!
Wild your videos are fantastic and for a small streamer starting out they make great references especially as you make them easy to understand. I used to run my own accounting company but suffered a Subrachnoid Haemorrhage in October 2013 and I was lucky to still be alive today. Since my accident I've really got into the streaming of a very well none game that I'm not a competitive player as I don't have the fastest responses but I prefer the other side to the game STW and have just started a few streams. I've saved a but since my accident and have around £1.5 - £2k to spend on a startup PC with streaming capabilities. If this is not sufficient then please advise what sum I should be looking to save to start up a stream as I enjoy it so much and have quite a good following on my YT channel as I'm spreading the message that you can recover from a brain injury even if if is a struggle at times. I know you must get hundreds of requests like this but your positive energy and outlook is so reminiscent of former self I'm gradually getting it back with the streaming and also playing the games is improving my cognitive function. Please let me know if you'd be interested in a chat my Discord is ScottyGum0605 thank you in anticipation and keep up the great work buddy, Scott
To long... whats your question?
@@Wild4 best buy for a PC streamer who has £2k to spend getting setup and ready to stream already have the following just need to take my editing to the next level as I'm currently creating content on a xbox and Note 9. That's for reading part of my comment that's part of my problem expressing myself but making sense at the same time (I've had a brain injury and want to be viewed like everyone else so I see your comment was fair, cut the crap and ask your questions attitude.)
i have a 600 dollar canon sl2.. and i still cant get colors like that ... might be something with lighting .. .idk .. also if anyone here can help me figure out why i cant get rid of the "no card in camera " logo when i use it with the cam link .. please let me know..everything else goes away but that... I shouldnt need a card in the camera to live stream
I use an SL2 all the time.... You need to WB for your lights. The SL2 clean feed only works in Manual Focus Mode. Switch it to that. You will also need a dummy battery.
@@Wild4 i have it on manual focus.. perhaps its the dummy battery part.. i didnt think that would matter for the sd card message..cause everything else goes away
@@Wild4 have both ..still reading no card in camera.. why would i need a card in the camera if im not using it for that
What is the lenght of the usb-c cable?
7.2' / 2.2 m hope that helps
So what's happening with the footage becoming unwatchable when turning up the exposure isn't a computation problem. It's bumping down the shutter speed, which brightens the image, but also means that it's taking longer to take each picture, or frame. At 60 fps, your shutter speed should be around 1/120th of a second, in order to look natural. However, relatively speaking, that's pretty high, so your image is going to be reasonably dark. You can go down to around 1/60th of a second without it looking too bad, but once it starts dropping bellow that, which it is, you'll start to see that smeary, unwatchable look that you're getting. This is because the camera has to take 60 pictures per second to hit that 60 fps goal, but it takes it longer than 1/60th of a second to record those frames, so it literally can't capture 60 fps.
Also, motion just gets blurrier as you lower your shutter speed. Longer shutter speeds (up to 10 seconds) are how people achieve the light painting effect in pictures, where they're able to write something out with a flashlight.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Thanks for the tips. Thanks for watching!
I find the Brio disappointing and unreliable.I run the Brio and 920 through my MacBookPro and often, like this morning it froze and often drops off.
Any ideas?
Have you tried just the brio to see if it has that issuue?
just guessing here from experience - But I assume its your motherboard having an issues detecting the differences between the 2 Logitech cameras ( a common if you look it up ). There are work around you can find on google.
so nice

Would I be able to use 3 of these to stream on a single computer?
If your comp could handle that then YES
Wild4Games Interesting. Thanks for the response. I was worried they might act like the mics I bought. I couldn’t use more than one on a single computer because the ID numbers were literally the same.
