Just an FYI about the "exposure" settings issue, it is the same on the C922. The Exposure setting in the settings is actually using both exposure and the Gain setting. so once you set it to manual, -5 is the highest you can go while retaining smooth framerates, and then you adjust the gain setting up until you have the exposure you are after. I've found this works best.
I was a subscriber years ago BO2 days. I went to listen to some Logitech camera setting youtube videos in the background as I was setting up my studio. The clips continued to auto cycle from vid to vid of random youtubers I dont know then after a while I picked up on one of the vids playing and was like "man that sentence structure and cadence sounds allot like Drift0r" so I clicked to view the video that was playing. Holy S*** it IS Drift0r. Even after 6yrs of not seeing your vids. Your style and sound was unmistakable.

Do you use the same software for both? What program are you using and can I use my c920 also with this software?
Was this pre recorded or live stream? I am not familiar with xsplit. Also...what microphone audio device are you using?
I have both and the brio hands down is the best the FOV is just unmatched no other webcam can do a wide angle like the brio .

These are great videos, thanks. I bought a Brio a few weeks ago and have downloaded settings, and I see where to change the brightness, variable degree settings, etc. HOWEVER, I have not see anywhere where you select 4 Km 30/FPS, 1080, 60 FPS or 780 with 90 frames per second. I have watched several reviews for the BRIO and have not see on any of them how to select 4k/1080/780 or FPS. Also, I would like to hear which is really the best?? 4 Km 30/FPS, 1080, 60 FPS or 780 with 90 frames per second. I have heard that FPS is more important than 4k/1080/780...

Hi. At 10:17, when you are trying to remove the plastic mount, apparently, the camera can rotate a bit. Not as much as the Logitech C615 (which can easily rotate 360º). Is it really possible to move it laterally a bit, without breaking the mount? I don´t like to have a webcam pointing at my face frontally. I prefer to place it on one corner of the screen, and then, rotate it a bit, to point at my face from one side. As I see on the video, it is possible to rotate the Brio slightly, when it is attached to the mount. Perhaps, not as easily as the C615, but it is possible...apparently. Is it?
Where do you find all those settings, mine only shows standard and widescreen, hdr. Do I need a Windows pc

My girlfriend had a random Logitech extender I used it for my c920 and it worked great no frame drops nothing was cheap to
I had issue with cam when just bought had to reformate pc since was on a old 2016 build of windows 10 and didn't include all the patches and fixes for cam

XSplit licensing is included with all Logitech webcams except the C930e (which lacks software altogether). I bought a C922 earlier this year (the second Logitech webcam I've owned - the previous was the Communicate STX). The webcam clips to most modern displays (in my case, I have it clipped to the HDTV that I use as a display). I use the same settings you recommend - and I use them in everything (VCam, Skype, etc.) While I bought the webcam primarily for Skype, I've started looking hard at using XSplit for stream recording for later broadcasting (non-live streaming). Why non-live? My desktop uses a wireless connection for gaming - NOT exactly the best connection for live streaming. It works for gaming - just not for gaming+streaming. Still, the SAME software works a treat for recording for rebroadcast any which way you want to do it (RUclips, Twitch, etc.) - so your cost goes nowhere.

Got the Brio and you are kidding . Takes a lot of work to set it up... I think it works correctly on USB 3.1 , I had similar issues with my other 3.0...

For some reason x-split changes my frames to 30fps every time I try switch it to 60fps 1080
4 k resolution settings r not showing, in the logitech software showing upto hd, how to enable it, my laptop have 3.0 usb but no 4k enabling options I can see... Pls help

Hey nice video thnx for the share Note: There is alot of hissing noise. I think you are using a internal mic so there is alot of preamp hissing i guess. But nice comparison.

I Got The C922 & I’m Gonna Be Using For Streaming & I’m Happy With It! I Enjoyed The Review & I Think The Tripod Is A Bit Useless Since Mine Is On The Top Of My Monitor.

c922 is best bang for buck, don't know what Harry's doing wrong, but a webcam can't break a computer unless you throw it at it... lol and it's strait plug and play, no need for drivers.... it's what i use, and it's perfectly good enough until you want to step up to something like a DLSR/Camlink....
there's literally no need to try and track down an older c920, when the c922 is the same thing with a couple of improvements.... the added wide angle of the C930e is great, but realistically the c922 is plenty wide enough for 99% of use cases, and, unless you NEED that extra Fov, it's not worth the extra cost....
omg u said so many cable names which one was it? I need to buy a shorter one to make the quality better... so said like 5 diffrent cables xD

I can't get my brio to work with win hello at all.
2018 and Logitech still haven't developed software which saves your White Balance after restarting your PC. Makes the C922 basically unusable

Yeah its absolutely b.s. for a $100 webcam. I had it for 3 months and still can't save the settings. I have to change the settings daily. Complete bull. Logitech still hasn't responded to my email regarding this and it's been a month

Damn logitech have some issues with that exposure setting.. Like why does manual exposure break it? How does that make sense?
OP (drift0r?) seems to just have trouble understanding how exposure works, basically i if you think of a video as 30 photos one after another, each photo has an exposure, which is the amount of time the sensors spends receiving light, per photo... at 30fps, each frame can have a MAXIMUM exposure time of 33.3ms..... if it needs more than that, then the frame rate drops... the exposure setting is simply manually setting how much time each frame is exposed for... so setting it higher will always kill the FPS... same is true in the opposite direction, lowering that setting lessens the amount of light that each frame can capture, so the image becomes darker, this is actually a fantastic thing, as it allows you to flood more light onto the subject (yourself) before things get over exposed (white washed like most of this video was)
manually setting the exposure is a fantastic thing, and everyone should do it, but it needs to be balanced with the Gain setting (on the first page of the settings) as well as brightness, adjusting only the brightness as OP does is actually the entirely wrong way of setting the over all brightness of the image, as the brightness setting actually only affects a small part of the spectrum, the low - mids on the plus side, and high - mids on the negative side...
ideally you should set the exposure to the highest (brightest) point before you start losing frames without over exposing, then adjust the gain, to fine tune things, ideally you don't want too much gain, as it can induce image noise when set too high, and then finally the brightness if you need any specific shadow or highlight adjustments....

Wasn't intending to judge. Just curious, I have a friend who's 25 and has grayish white hairs already. And yeah, Drift still looking fresh my man 😁.
It`s 2020 and for 150 dollars Brio is still the best webcam out there. I don`t know why hte picture looked so blurred but it may be he uses too much light. He is on the brink on over exposure through the whole Brio tutorial

Because i wanted to upgrade from logitech 920 to bcc conference and the image was dreadful.
The software was poor and the lack of right made the screen colors/light changing from bright to dark at every move i made,so i returned bcc for a 920.
Now i wanna buy brio but is she is behaving like bcc and 930 withiout right light ,for me is pure terror,

Good video but you gave 2 bad pieces of advice, 1 it is ok to use a longer cable with the camera as some of us have setups which have our PCs a distance from our Telvisions, 2 a motherboard doesnt matter i setup mine on a crappy school laptop that a student friend of mine has just to test it and it worked, now bios and stuff that you can update as i just updated my bios
Remember that also depending on your own PC CPU/GPU/RAM configuration using 144op/60 or 4k/30 may or may not be possible. If you have a current i7 or Ryzen 7 and above system with a mid-high grade gpu you can power the higher resolutions with no problem
I disagree with the USB statement you only need 3.0 for 4K compatibility. You can still utilize 2.0.

+WeAreLegion Not on the C922. You can get higher FPS values on the BRIO. I got mine up to 92 once, but it wasn't very stable.

I'm guessing your 'dont try other usb-c cables' is because you tried to use a usb-c cable marketed for phone charging. The stores are so flooded with phone charger usb-c cables that its hard to find a actual data usb-c cable that is usb3.0/3.1 on the other end.

How many reviews and comparisons watched, understood one thing. The Logitech Brio webcam does not work well for those who sit on calculators with and (or) the Internet via a modem. Or with a normal computer, but a small brain. Or with the wrong operating system. Have rest works better all.
