❤ AWEsome exhaust! My 15 Golf R had AWE switchpath & it was killer!
I cannot wait to get this on my C8! Loved it on my C7!!
That sounds insane
My thoughts exactly, also go birds 🦅 - Sara
Ooh yeah....yea
Nice work 👍. We need some pull away footage in Track mode.
Given the throttle position of the takeoffs in the vid, the valves crack open immediately anyway 👍
@@awetuning So the valves will switch out of touring mode based on throttle position?
@@ilovedrivingyt yep. Their position is overridden when throttle reaches a certain threshold of load. Common behavior.
@@awetuning Ok I see. Thanks for the information my friend. Great product, take care.
Wicked!
Sara, Nice job on the presentation and exhaust setup breakdown.
Let MJ know I'm ready for my new AWE exhaust setup! Also, my beard is better 😆
Thanks
-Shane
Hey Shane, thanks for the kind words, and I will be sure to tell him 😂 -Sara
👍 👍
How about a side by side comparison w stock? That is what I'd like to see.
Hello,
What's the torque on the 5 flange bolts and the exhaust mounting bracket? I'm tracking 60ft-lb on the brackets for the system.
Sounds awesome...were does a person buy that new lower valance section in order to run this exhaust. I'm too lazy to look...lol.
Hi, Dave. The exhaust accomodates the factory bumper on the Z06 as it was designed for.
Is it just me or do Tour and Track sound the same?
Valves are throttle position actuated. So digs and wot will open up valves making the tour & track sound the same. If cruising valves closed same with slow takenoffs
Does it sound different than factory? I can tell being a Z06 owner.
Cleaner, more powerfull and full bodied tone compared to stock. We get rid of the kazoo effect and really unleash the flat-plane harmonies with the X-pipe. Stock isnt bad, this is just a whole 'nother level--and designed to play well with spicier components upstream as well.
thats what i noticed. that kazoo sound is a perfect description and it sounds bad. i didnt hear that at least in these clips, so very impressive. i like it! my only critique is the silver look where the outboard boxes are. (sry forgot what yall called em')@@awetuning
@@Howdy762 We felt the viewing ports of the valance were akin for some shine! You could add your own spin to them if stealth is desired. Wouldn't take much.
@@awetuning Sorry but what is a kazoo sound?
@@dynamicforged the sound similar to what is produced by a kazoo, a "musical" instrument.
Sounds good, but I expected a bigger DIFFERENCE between track n tour.....
Valves open upon meeting a threshold of load. When the valves are closed and left closed (heard in a slow pass @4:24) it's quite tame. Flat plane motors like to scream :)
Everything about the exhaust is what I am looking for, EXCEPT why not say NO DRONE?? I don't want drone while cruising endlessly
Hi, Rich. When the valves are closed, road noise is the most prominent at highway speeds. Cabin activity is very civilized and well-mannered. Listen @4:16
that doesn't even sound like a V8, that's so sick
Flat-plane and highrevving 8s are special :)
