Cat delete all day, sounds way better
Wow, so cool to hear (and see!) the sound comparison! Amazing camera footage. Very well done!
This one was lots of fun to make….. both our videos have different footage
Wow those cars are just absolutely amazing. That cat delete system sounds soo awesome!!!
I have to say Brandon’s car was WAY louder and had a “meaner” sound to it! It sounds awesome!!
This was a fun video to make. Check mine out as well
This video further proves that cat deletes is the way. A fraction of the cost, more volume and great sound. Win win win.
Well I will say the paragon has a nice sound but it’s not loud. I wonder if u did both (cat delete) and paragon if it would sound better .
@@Brandonsgarages only one way to find out! I imagine the car has been running great and no issues right?
@@Tony-h2893 so far no check engine light and feels quicker and verified via dragy.
Great vid comparing the two! Link for cat delete....
Happy New Year!
Exactly, not to mention you keep the adjustability by maintaining the stock exhaust valves. You can go pretty quiet/tame in stealth/tour valve settings.
I was one of the first few with deleted cats on C8Z, I’ve been pushing the mod for awhile, but I do think it might be worth adding SOME kinda exhaust on top for the ultimate sound. I love it but I still feel like it’s missing that F1 style pitch sometimes. Paragon on top of deleted cats might be it.
Once long tube headers come out thats gona be the perfect set up. Cat delete with headers. Going to be a screamer
shes a flat plane screamer not a cross plane grunter, long tubes would probably destroy the hp and may even make it sound real funky
They both sound awesome
Keep up the great work!
Great content.... Thanks for posting!
Thanks a lot!
Nice video keep them coming.
Brandon I just installed 2M Fabrication bypass pipes with my Ryft paired with the Eventuri and 91mm ported Throttle bodies and all I can say is holy fu%#%n 💩.
It’s insane. The explosions are ungodly 💯. There is a little bit of old school muscle car smell from the 70’s but totally worth it 💪🏼
@@2020matrix8 oh man. I bet ur insane loud man. Can’t wait to hear it w the titanium catback.
The cat delete really reminds me a certain prancing horse.
Paragon sounds WAAAAAAY BETTER!!! that cat delete just has all the " hey lets straight pipe it!!" Guys wetting there jeans. ....i perfer tuned exhaust with a custum tune😊
Yeah I prefer the sound of the black Z06 over the Blue one
Both sound great! Good comparison video!
i cant tell if its just the camera but brandons z is so much louder i feel like the black one should be right there with noise but i could barley hear it .
It def is louder but they have different sounds. Mine drowns out his on the flybys so u can’t hear it well
Brandon’s Z is WAY louder….. make no mistake. It’s angry LOL
I went with the Cat delete for my 91’ Geo Metro! Now it sounds like a a metal trash can with a wounded cat inside. Pretty close to a C8 if it ran off a cliff 😊👍🏾
Any CELs? was looking to do the 2mFab cat del + peragon track setup
Are you running a stock car back with just cat deletes?
@@FBombBaggers oh wait nevermind in this video I just had stock cat back
@@Brandonsgarages sweet I appreciate it. What you running now? I still want quiet when I need it but want obnoxious too lol
@ I have Corsa track exhaust/headers. It still has valves and gets a little quiet but not much. Probably not the best choice for quiet.
@@Brandonsgarages cat deleted and stock it is lol. Trading in my 3LT Tuesday for a Rapid 3LZ just like yours. Videos helped me for sure. Props on the thumbnails too, I suck at them 😂
@ this one was one of those apps lol I somehow figured out how to work (thumbnail)it. Congrats on the 3LZ I wish I had gone at least 2LZ or at a minimum competition seats.
The car delete sounds way better wow didn’t expect that
For the cat delete kit, did o2 spacers work for not setting a check engine light?
No I still got a light at 400 miles
And you used a o2 spacer?
@@83jward yes it came w the 2m deletes . I haven’t tried anything else I just delete the code every 3/400 miles
Just a thought, did the front and rear sensors get swapped by accident? That can set a code by itself.
Sounds great btw. I'm currently helping a buddy with his z06 and was looking to save him a few k by not doing sport cats. That is as long as I can cheat the cel.
Are you getting a cel with the cat delete?
@@markcavanaugh8754 yes, 300-1K miles or so .
I was going to do the CAT del + Peragon Track setup, great video!!! MD local as well. Recommendations on a shop that I can take mine to get these installed?
That’s where I bought the car from I’m actually in Georgia so honestly I’m not sure. If you were local I would use injected engineering. Would love to hear how they sound together!
@@Brandonsgarages Yea going to start making videos again, hoping I go to status 3400 soon
Hey Brandon, out of curiosity. How many miles did you have on the car before you started pushing it. Just bought a new C8Z, did the first oil change at 500.
Sounds great by the way 💪
@@ssgviper7147 I pushed it right after the 500 , been beating on it ever since seems to do well so far knock on wood. Oil analysis was good.
@@Brandonsgarages thank you, exactly what I was looking for. Love the channel, keep it up.
@@ssgviper7147 thank you sir , enjoy your badass car!
I really like the Paragon better. It just sounds better imo
Cat delete sounds better and louder. The muffler just sounds more lower deep tone
Where in Georgia are you? I’m at my in-laws in Woodstock Georgia visiting
Dalton Georgia
Who tuned the car to get rid of the check engine light and performance increase?
No one has cracked the ecu yet to my knowledge on the z06. Light came on at 400 miles. Reset and it’s been off since. Tightened everything again.
Chevrolet spent millions on this car, you will not see any gain switching headers. Maybe more peak but not average. They didn't leave much on the table building this car. I did the s&b intake and what I was afraid of was true, no difference in my 60-130. 7.45 -750 stock and 7.43 to 7.50 with box. The power that is left on the table is in the rpm that they left, this engine is not finished at 8500, most likely would peak at 9200 and 70 hp higher
Yeah I agree I think there is maybe 50/60 hp total on the table on 93 octane . Once we can tune and run e85 w more timing I think there is another 100 hp or so on the table NA
Any gas smell with cat delete?
Some but not bad. I have a few old hot rods so I’m used to that smell.
Bule Z06 very loud.
Cat delete cheaper and sounds way better
Can you do a cold start with the valves closed?
Will it close the valves on cold start if in weather mode ? (I genuinely don’t know)
Sounds amazing but the smells gotta be horrendous LOL.
The blue one sounds like a 600cc sports bike.
You guys are funny you should look up novitec 458 ferrari try to beat that
Your even funnier...lol...Check out an SVJ with GINTANI exhaust...
Black car sound better to me!
It has a good sound to it.
@@Brandonsgarages yes I have c6 I like the American muscle sound. Blue car sounded more like a McLaren.
@@vadam7407 I know the feeling. I have a c5 w c6 z ls7 and I LOVE that sound. It was hard to get used to this new feel/sound w the torque curve. I like it now tho but not better it’s just different.
Without the cats, it's sounds terrible!
Cat delete is sooo much better!!! Paragon ruins the sound you buy the car for.
The F22 sounds better. And is MUCH louder.
Agree
@@Brandonsgarages🇺🇸
@@BrandonsgaragesIf Imma be real the Paragon exhaust sounds better than the Z06 without Cats.
Corvette copied Lexus LFA exhaust sound. Copy cat 😂😂😂
It’s my favorite thing about these cars other than the speed!!
I have not heard a LFA in person but it wouldn’t surprise me. I have heard it is similar to Ferrari 458 which was the engine they supposedly copied but made bigger /better.
Nobody else is making these kinds of engines so thank Chevy!
LFA has a smoother higher pitch. And doesn’t have the same violent sounds as the C8Z, the pops and bangs etc. it’s more refined. But I’m sure Chevy will take the compliment lol it really is an amazing/interesting time to be a car enthusiast. But I don’t see anyone making an engine like the LT6 again, shit GM probably barely made it in time. Lol I think down the road low mileage C8Zs will be sought after and fetch premiums.
@@PuffZ06 I couldn’t have said ANY of that better myself….. I agree 100% with all of your comment!
Did you have problems with any error codes or check engine lights? After you deleted cats
Appreciate answers
Got a SES light at 400 miles. Deleted, retightened everything and it’s been off since. Looks like probably get a light every 4/500 miles which has to be deleted.
