Have to say, I did not buy a new sliver-deck, but a 80 bucks upgrade for my existing one. I love Gravemother as a "hidden" commander. Overlord is just target no.1, but with gravemother you are not so bothered with slivers hidding your graveyard. Plus: Sundial of the Infinite. AND THE GRATEST PLUS: We got rid of the humanoid-Slivers^^, definitly going to exchange them.
Very much so. I never understood the art style change for the core set Slivers to look more human. Pointy head, 1 scything claw, slithery body without legs, that's a Sliver.
I think Mana Echoes works really well with the Sliver Gravemother's encore granting. It's around $20, so more of a Heavy Upgrade choice. But worth considering.
I actually gave away a copy of Mana Echoes at 100 subs so that was a big miss for me and a good choice for the deck, though I think I'd want something like Finale of Devastation or an X draw spell to pair with it or the mana might be wasted.
I have. The beautiful part of commander is no one deck has to be built the same. I like Magma and Crypt Sliver, but they are dead when Crystalline is out. Crypt, Clot Sliver and Diffusion Sliver also serve to keep them protected and on the board vs. draining life and having to recast everything when Hibernation Sliver bounces. YMMV in your meta game. If mass exile is problem, Hibernation is better. If mass destruction is more prevalent, the regen slivers are better outside of Wrath/Damnation. You have to judge your own group/metagame and tailor the slivers accordingly.
Great video, very informative and helpful fro getting this decks mana base fixed. Also im surprised you didn't list Frenetic Sliver as possible add in, specially with Gravemother as the commander! Generally Frenetic Sliver is a bit gambly sure, but I usually find it is a great way to protect against board whipes with out draining your HP and having to recast like with Hibernation Sliver. I generally pair it with Pulmonic Sliver or Dregscape Sliver so that down side is fairly minigated, but I feel with Gravemother she seems to offer equal if not greater value opportunity with fernetic ❤ But of course this is my opinion, ik others generally don't like Frenetic Silver :3
Frenetic could be a good choice if you're willing to accept the chaotic nature of it. I didn't include Pulmonic and Dregscape because of Gravemother. I'd rather encore the slivers rather than Unearth them and I want them hitting the yard most of the time get the encore to work, so Pulmonic is a little counter intuitive. Now both are great if a different 5 color sliver is the focus. Great card ideas nonetheless.
I have morophon as a commander because as what I have seen in play it fixes so much of what a five color deck has. It gets rid of one of each color on all slivers so you just have to pay the generic mana for it's free for the big guys. The ramp is really good since you just play a bunch of green cards and whatever you want, just know if you are going to play replicating sliver you need the other colors. On top of this the deck is smoother and shockingly less expensive than this variation.
the cards you add in really increase your mana curve. are you playing 1 spell per turn or what? and you cut the sliver with shroud? crazy. what about Door of Destinies ?
Door would work. I like the new Banner of Kinship better since it buffs right as you drop it onto a decent board. I dislike shroud in the deck because I like Magma and Crypt Sliver, and if I can't target, they are useless.
Wild Pair is good with Slivers since most are 2/2s. Not a huge fan of Pyre in many Sliver builds as I want to keep my Slivers alive, but with Gravemother, it might be a good include since she can Encore then back.
If you're talking about the original duals (Alpha, Beta, Unlimited, or Revised), yes you can. You can play just about any land ever printed except Karakas, Tolarian Academy, and Library of Alexandria since they are banned from the format.
Good Upgrade but in my eyes a little Bit more Utilizing Commanders Encore would be good Did a similar Upgrade but fE with Sundial of the Infinite and Obeka Leave the Gravemother in the Zone, force your Opponent to Wipe your Board and then Encore them Back ,with Sundial/Obeka they can Stay Works extremely Well ..But for this we have to lower the Manacurve a little Bit With this Upgrade Here First Sliver would be the better Commander
@@twilightscallmtg :) This is absolutely annoying for your Opponent...the Key is to have a Lot of Low CMC Slivers...Then Play Basal Sliver and Sacrifice them all...Nearly Infinite Mana ,Encore ,Sundial and you Triple your Board. If you Like some Cherrys on your Cake Play Virulent Sliver so that then ebery Sliver Puts 3 Counters ...this is a Win in one big Move ..and with Myriad you ... That escalated Quickly :))
Shroud is strong when you don't care about your own abilities and spells being able to target your creatures. In using Crypt Sliver and Magma Sliver, that shuts both of them down and makes them useless to the deck once Crystalline Sliver comes down and then you have to try to juggle getting rid of your own Crystalline Sliver just to use them at the right time. It really depends on your playgroup and playstyle. I won't play Slivers without Magma Sliver in the deck, it's just that good as burst damage and Crystalline negates that plan. My playgroup also uses a ton of board sweeps and little single target removal, so I gear my decks accordingly. Crystalline in my own experience just frustrates my own playstyle of using the targeting Slivers and doesn't do much otherwise but catch a couple single targets that might show up. Same goes for Hibernation Sliver. Hibernation can bounce a lot in a sweep situation, but you're leaving yourself open to draining yourself for 25% or more of your life trying to save 5 or more slivers from the wipe. It's also a little reduced in this deck to try to save the slivers with Gravemother at the front, where you're going to want them dead to get them in the yard to use Encore. Or in the case of this build, using Living Death to get them back anyhow. I will concede that both are better if Overlord or Legion are at the front of the deck and you have less ways of getting stuff back. It's all about the build and what front facing Sliver you're using. You can say it's a terrible take, but in context, it might not be as bad you think.
I would likely run a bit more tutoring so I can grab it from the 99 more easily and probably add a few things to reduce the activated ability, such as Zirda or Training Grounds so you can create as many tokens as you can as quickly as you can. Otherwise I'd put her upfront and go all in on the token plan, get token doublers and mana doubling into the deck to spit out a bunch of tokens. Maybe even include Seedborn Muse to untap lands each turn to make more tokens and play interaction off turn.
So glad I got a foil Sliver Legion for like $20 during the core set that brought in the new slivers that only touched on your own slivers.
Nice. Always nice to beat the spikes in demand.

@@twilightscallmtg if you build the Rukarumel deck, consider Mana Echoes/ Genesis Chamber. It can produce an insane amount of mana.
Crystalline and Hibernation Sliver, really? Have you played slivers in commander before? :) they are great

Funny you mention Kindred Dominance, I got a full art one in the pack that came with my sliver deck.
Nice! Have to love the timely upgrade with the on-theme art as well.

Morophon is a great alternative. Also nicely doubles for a 5-color dragons deck, giving you a commander that can helm 2 different decks.

You should b way more clear on which card is swapping for what.

That would definitely rate as a heavy upgrade.
Nah, you lost all credibility when you called crystalline and hibernation ‘iffy’. You became unwatchable when u cut them smh. Terrible take

How would you go about incorporating the sliver queen into this build?
