    Interesting upgrades! I will defend Not of This World but I get it will depend on the playground, but the protection it brings to Zhulodok I can't overstimate. Really like the add of the Thought -knot!

    I already had the obvious upgrades in mind but you named some that I didn't even know about. Also I didn't consider some of the cuts you made as they seemed on theme. So thanks for your insights!

    Not of this world has been huge for me. It's a really good way to protect Zhulodok and trigger cascade. It doesn't work around board wipes sure, but it's a free spell that triggers cascade and protects from targeted removal.

      All a matter of playgroup. Mine is a Wrath/Cyclonic Rift heavy group with little direct removal, so I discount the card heavily. Otherwise, yes, I would leave it in if yours leans more to single target stuff.

      @@twilightscallmtg yeah makes sense, if there's little targeted removal then the card isn't of any use

      Is there a specific quality that's lacking or overboard? Too loud, too quiet, too much reverb? I'm all for improving things that I can.

    a bit late to the party but flavor wise, you shouldn't have cut the ancient stone idol. Its the statue of Kozilek back when people didn't know any better.

    You'll want to keep metalwork colossus it is practically free cascade triggers. It can cascade into many of your big eldrazi creatures for a very very low cost

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  Год назад +1

      It could be used that way but I was annoyed with how many artifact creatures were in this deck and decided to just nix as many as I could justify.

    Im finally upgrading this deck. Could you update with the new eldrazi cards from MH3?

    • @twilightscallmtg
      @twilightscallmtg  6 месяцев назад

      I've not done a revisitation to old precon upgrade videos before, but I'll give you my list of cards from the new precon and MH3 mainset I would consider here and a few sure-fire cards I would use as well.
      From the precon, I'd consider Twins of Discord, Eldrazi Confluence, and Ulamog's Dreadsire. Couple more big Eldrazi for Zhulodok to double Cascade with and the Confluence can be use to handle indestructible creatures as well as simply ramping up to the bigger Eldrazi ahead of schedule.
      From the mainset, I'd consider Devourer of Destiny, Ugin's Labyrinth, Kozilek, the Broken Reality, and Ulamog, the Defiler. I think the only thing that would keep me off most of these cards, is current pricing for Ulamog and the Labyrinth currently being $100 combined.
      For sure, from both the precon or mainset, I'd use Eldritch Immunity, Selective Obliteration, It That Heralds the End, Idol of False Gods, and Echoes of Eternity. Immunity is the cheapest way to protect the creatures in a colorless deck, Selective Obliteration is a really good wipe, Herald and Idol are great ramp in a deck like this, and Echoes copies any cast triggers off the Eldrazi and even causes Zhulodok's Cascade trigger to copy.

    Was the deck revised? I can't see mana crypt and mana vault on the deck list? I see Ancient tomb. Also can you please advise a CEDH list?
    Cheers

      @twilightscallmtg  11 месяцев назад

      If you're looking at the 'Higher Power (expensive) list, Vault and Crypt are in there among the boatload of mana rocks the deck needs to try and get ahead on mana as part of the Artifacts section (just checked my link in the description, they're in there).
      As for cEDH, I unfortunately can't give a lot of advice as it's not a variation of Commander that I enjoy. I mostly play high-power decks (along with casual on occasion), which are a different beast from cEDH. From what I can tell though, this deck isn't great for cEDH as it relies on killing via creature combat almost exclusively, which from a few creators I've listened to, isn't a very viable kind of deck for cEDH.
