    I think in order to the sundial of the infinite work you need to activate it at your end phase because you need the sacrifice step of the encore ability to actually be in the stack... otherwise it will trigger on our next end step. Encore ability states "Sacrifice them at the beginning of the next end step" therefore if you scape your next... the "next end step" would occour in a latter turn, right?

    • @GuysThatMagic
      @GuysThatMagic  Год назад +5

      You're correct! I misspoke. You need to be in your end step with the encore ability on the stack.

    • @7thCircleHobbies
      @7thCircleHobbies Год назад +4

      @@GuysThatMagic When encore ability goes on the stack you use the sundial. The sacrifice does not carry on to future turns and you keep those copies permanently. By ending your turn before those sac triggers resolves, the stack empties and you keep the encore copies as token copies. Sac triggers do not carry into future rounds.

    Wow you cut spiteful? I have won dozens of games with just spiteful slivers effect.

    I like the adds and cuts for the deck. Thanks for sharing the link to Moxfield for checking everything out !!

  • @GuysThatMagic

    At the time of recording these additions came out to about $100, but as the deck is getting more attention some card prices are fluctuating.
    Edit:
    We misspoke regarding Sundial of the infinite. You need to be in your end step with the encore ability on the stack, then the sundial will exile the ability and it will never trigger for those creatures again!

      @@GuysThatMagic Yeah, of course. Besides, it's not like you guys don't go over budget at times since certain cards make you have to push a little further from $100. As a wise man once said, heavily used and damage cards also need a home.

    So I'm gonna play the sliver gravemother and then play conspiracy completely destroying the legend rule when I name slivers. Then I'm going to traumatize myself and play slivers from the graveyard at will. So for 20 COLORLESS I can bring 4 15 15 indestructible w.e of the same legend in play at the same time and if your still not dead ill keep casting 4 of the same legend from the graveyard every turn for colorless mana 😂😂let's goooooo

  • @lockecole3726
    @lockecole3726 Год назад +1

    It's inexcusable how bad these mana bases are for a "premium" product. I could understand not reprinting the fetches (although, every now and then it would be nice) but there's no reason slow fetches and shitty etb tapped lands should be in these. A shock land reprint wouldn't kill them, and it's absolutely disgusting that the battlebond lands weren't included, at the very least.

  • @markdd4281

    Removing Blade Sliver, Spiteful Sliver, and Bonesplitter Sliver is wild to me.
    “Yeah. I don’t like redundant effects in. Sliver deck build around redundant effects.” Sure. Other cards do similar things- But those are an effective +3/+0, triple damage back to a player or planeswalker when slivers take damage, and +6/+0.
    Spiteful sliver turns something like a Blasphemous Act into a WinCon. 13 damage to each sliver? Even if you only have the grave other, and three spiteful slivers? That’s 156 points of damage target player or planeswalker.
    Even with only 2 copies and grave mother, that’s still 78 damage you can toss around however you like.
    Wild.

      I just bought this precon and trying to edit it myself. I was thinking of putting Blasphemous Act into this deck for spiteful, but I feel like for the most part it just hurts you most of the time. Has it worked a bunch for you?

    Gemhide sliver?
    Each Sliver taps for two mana of any color?

    Oh, so just a thought. Blasphemous act is a thing in commander, though it was a seriously rare occasion, I won a game super early with spiteful sliver. Flashed it in and dealt an absolute ton of damage. Had more than enough to kill everyone. Same goes for Rukarumel, so you don't choose Slivers with it. So if someone else is playing tribal like elves for example, I'm gonna choose elves. So it basically gets every tribal effect or anthem that exists on the board.

    Rather than Sundial of the Infinite, consider Evolutionary Leap. It does more than just make use of the encore tokens. It also makes spot removal and mass removal less punishing. And it costs pennies.

    • @GuysThatMagic
      @GuysThatMagic  Год назад +1

      Sundial allows us to exile the sacrifice trigger from the encore ability so we can keep our tokens forever. It's a pretty awesome card for this commander!

  • @Towner101

    Can we get a revised version where money is of little consequence? No $600 cards but no limits on $60+ cards either. Just the most solid sliver deck you could build.

    First time watching the channel and a little late to comment. I do like your updates I would only change one thing the lands. I would put the bond lands instead of shocks only for the fact that I can get two times the amount lands and they are almost always untapped in commander.

    Bit of misinformation there with Sundial of the Infinite.
    The sac trigger activates on the next end step.
    If you activate it on your main 2 you skip your end step, and you will sac them on your opponents end step instead.
    You have to activate the Sundial with the sac trigger on the stack at the end step.
