I actually enjoy both the London and Australian version of this musical! However, I think Ramin and Sierra's voices fit a younger Phantom and Christine. Ben and Anna's voices have a more, dare I say, mature sound in their voice which makes them sound older.
Rebecca Gardiner that's how it should be in my opinion because it was ten years later. I think they were brilliant for lnd.

I was invited to the premier after party in Sydney...and got to cuddle Ben, Anna, and just about everyone. Anna is sooo tiny, when I was cuddling her..., and I'm under 5ft high...my arm went right around her waist and to the front. I exclaimed how did such a big voice come out of such a tiny chest...and she laughed and said" lots of practice".
I could watch Ben and Anna all day. Such chemistry together. Everyone talks about Ramin and Sierra's chemistry, and it is great. However, Ben and Anna just click as well. The scenes are tight, and the acting flows seamlessly. Add on the wonderful music, and the show is wonderful. Wish Ben and Anna could do the original POTO together.
i would probably faint if i met Ben Lewis with his Phantom costume on i love how his voice sounds when he sings its so dark and deep but also gentle at times I

It's funny Anna and Ben look nothing like their characters (not a bad thing)... While RAOULE looks the same! Love it

such a talented cast! I saw the show again today....loved ever minute again! And got to meet the cast after the show. Such talented, wonderful people...Australia should be proud!

I personally loved the gerard and emmy version, it was the first i've ever heard and seen. And will always be that way, my favorite.

Yes, i have seen a lot of Phantoms, but still think so. Only Butler made me believe in this story, he touched my heart most of all. You think he was the weakest - that is ok. It is your opinion. And my opinion is different

Thank you for putting this on. If the glimpses we get of the show are to be interrupted I much prefer hearing the cast and crew rather than audience members raving (albeit deservedly)
Butler is the best Phantom. And besides, Ben's Phantom looks and acts like Butler. I don't say that Butler sings better than Lewes but today we can enjoy such brutal, sexy and passionate Phantom thanks to Butler. Just because he was first who has shown it. And I love them both.

TheMsiaddict Well if the show succeeds in Los Angeles, they better make them an official company, and it better pave the way to open on Broadway at last! I'm really really really putting my faith in the tour in LA, because it seems like some of the greatest shows have always had rough starts, Les Mis being a prime example.

It should be. Nobody could sing the LND scores like Ben Lewis. But Christine could be shared by Anna O'Byrne and Rachel Anne Moore.
So...so Happy I got to see this.
Honestly, Ramin Karimloo is the best Phantom. He just has so much freaking emotion.

I think that this version has much more than the Ñondon one. Ben lewis is an amazing actor. comparing is not good. ramin has a stronger voice no doubt much more operistic but this guy Ben Lewis has more phantom precence.he´s acting is darker.
Love never dies will be a movie for Halloween October 3rd 2021.

I liked Ben fine, the only gripe I had with him is his tendency to go into a dracula-est speaking voice. Why? it seems so out of place and almost comical. His deep vibrato can be a bit distracting but I'm nit picking cuz once he hits those high notes its beautiful! and I love Ben and Simon's version of DTTHR, IMO its better than Ramin and Joe's.

"Butler is the best Phantom"?? Huh? Have you even seen anything aside from that version? Every phantom is different. Some are dark and sexy, others are passionate, others are downright insane. Everything was done long before Butler was in that movie, he didn't do anything particularly original. Actually, Butler was kind of a wimpy Phantom... probably one of the weakest I've ever seen.

Butler for not being a trained singer did okay - nothing special - but not great.... but Emmy did a phenomenal job singing.
I like her very much this girl Anna. I like this version better than London. but every cast is different and unique in their own way...at leat they r doing a "film" with good singers not like Butler and Emmy rossum oh my god disaster grrrrrrrrr

I....actually want to see it. Though its not Ramin or Sierra, I think I'll give it a chance. Heaven By The Sea still is kinda of ... too happy. But I'm looking forward to it. *nods*

It's an Australian one. Think it says he's originally from Dubbo. Sounds a little English though...maybe he has an English parent like Ben?

Well, for only Love Never Dies, Ben is a great. But he's not the angel of music, his voice is too deep for me and poor of nuances. I'm sure Crawford would have made a masterpiece! But Karimloo is near his level, so it was better if they made a DVD with the London cast...
