It isn't more popular because of the implications and also the changes made to the Phantom, in particular. It's actually one of the most major examples of "sequelitis". I like the music but not so much the plot. I do like Ben Lewis though. I wish he would play the Phantom in a production of POTO.
The music is beautiful, the cast is fantastic, the set design and costumes are gorgeous, but the book (script) is a complete mess. Still a very worthwhile show for those reasons listed above.
@@daynacooper1163 I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree. I like Mr. Butler and Ms. Rossum...but I believe their are better pairings for Phantom and Christine.
It truly was a beautiful production. Everything was perfect. One of those shows where everything comes together to support the various sectors of a show...orchestra music, score, actors, costumes, sets, drama, romance, chemistry. ..and of course ALW's most beautiful soulful music he said he has ever written. Only saw it twice, but I have the DVD, thankfully. Met the entire cast and all at the after party in Sydney on opening night. WOW, it was amazing.
I want to see these guys perform the original 'Phantom' together. Their chemistry in LND is out of this world. I attended the third-last performance of LND in Sydney and it was magical. Bawling my eyes out by the end. Come back to Sydney SOON!
not sure about one of them but Ben is officially one of the phantom of the Oprah for the west end is now playing the phantom in the west end has been since the cast change
I have watched the show over and over, and every time I do I find a new detail in their performances I didn't see before. The book may have been a mess, but their performances were stellar.
Sitting here in the US Covid madness absolutely astounded by your talent. Sure wish you both could have toured the show over here. Huge love to you both! What a wonderful production!
HE IS THE ONLY PHANTOM I WILL WATCH, this will sound picky but all the others just don't do much for me. Ben makes me cry, laugh, smile, and everything
Thank you so much to Ben, Anna and all the incredible creative people and wonderful fans I have met on the LND journey. What a beautiful show, what a beautiful cast, and what a beautiful video to say goodbye. Love to all and thank you for such beautiful poignant experiences every single time I have seen this beautiful show - and that is many, many times.
I bought the DVD from Amazon and I just can't stop watching it. The music is so incredibly beautiful, Ben, Anna, Simon and the rest of the cast are soooo talented. I don't understand why it hasn't opened here in the US. I'm sure it would be almost as popular as Phantom.
33winterbirds Now with James Barbour as The Phantom, the ticket sale could be plummeting. People would want to watch LND more. Moreover if Erik and Christine were Ben and Anna.
thank YOU so much Aussie cast for a momentous production of a wonderfully portrayed story - I saw the show in Melbourne, bought the DVD the day it came onto the market, sat and watched and CRIED yet again!!! thank you and all the very best for your future
She looks so different ( but beautiful) and also, I hate how most POTO Phans either really dislike LND or really love it. Honestly they did such a great job with the whole show and the characters’ growth (especially megs) are so great and the costumes and music and set are so amazing (can you tell I love the show)😂❤️
Love this show. I'm Australian but unfortunately I didn't get to see the stage show but I was lucky enough to get the DVD with Anna and Ben in it. I say Bravo!!!!
I can totally picture me sitting in school just randomly bawling my eyes out because LND closed....especially since next month will mark one year since I found out and fell in love with this musical... I guess in Australia you guys wish each other "chookas" so chookas to all involved (especially the VERY under appreciated crew and back stage people who really make the shows happen) lots of love, luck and xxxxxxx's from America :')
Wonderful singers. Beautiful and powerful voices. My favorite phantom!! Anna has also a cery beautiful voice. I prefer this two than Ramin and Sierra. Ben's height makes him more umpressive and sinister. Love you !!
In a recent interview,Andrew said that he was thinking about it.He said that he thought that the Aussie production looked better ,he felt that the London one looked "unhappy".There is a planned opening on Broadway..
Okay, now I'm all teared up in the wee hours of the morning...I'm heartbroken that the journey is ending. I am hopeful that it may resume in the very near future. BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! I sincerely hope to see this ensemble cast and production in another part of the world, truly a magnificent spectacle and Phantasy made real. Cheers!
sad to see it go but im so glad i flew to melbourne to see it. sad it's not coming to brisbane :(. Best of luck to all the cast and crew on future jobs :)
I went over to Sydney last Friday to see Love Never Dies and it was brilliant, congrats to all the Cast and Crew for a really fantastic production, i hope that it may make its way to Adelaide soon!
I have a (digital) copy of the dvd and I love it! Now all I need is a physical copy for display purposes! I want to see this live though because as awesome as the dvd is I am a firm believer that a dvd is no substitution for a visit to a theater and seeing it in person! I really want a cloned production featuring Anna and Ben for a tour in the states!
sadly did not get the chance to see this live but I might get the chance to see Ben Live only have to go to London to do it he is Phantom in the west end so I only have until the cast change for London or when he leaves to see him live
They're so awesome! I can't believe that it closed here OR in London!! I'm thrilled to have the DVD, though - they should make one for each production!
why~! why does it have to close! why can't it stay for a longer time~! like, forever like the phantom of the opera! and I haven't even been able to watch the movie, let alone the theatre show! I am going to be bawling my eyes out these days even after its closing!
I wish I could have been there! all I can say is, I hope that when the inevitable US Tour/ Broadway production is made official soon! Ideally both will be green lit so that Anna and Ben can do the Tour while Sierra and Tam/Ramin will reprise the roles for Broadway. OR reverse it so that the tour is done by Sierra and Ramin/Tam while the Broadway cast gets Ben and Anna! In the mean time though I will have to suffice with the delightful dvd recording!
Wait ok I'm confused don't they travel around Austraila I mean haven't they only been to Melbourne and Sydney?? Shouldn't they go to more places around Australia I thought that's what happens? But these two r incredible they should have been the phantom and Christine in The phantom of the Opera!! :)
I ordered my copy of the dvd made from Australia and after seeing parts on youtube will make it a part of my Phantom collection to watch at will. I know it is not like watching the live show but the music never changes. Just a question; does anyone know how tall Ben and Anna are; they seemed very tall and of course beautiful..thanks
They do NOT sound like their voices at all! That is true talent right there! they are both SO amazing!
Ben and Anna made LND became fantastic. Simon too. And the boy who played Gustave.
I agree
TheMsiaddict Agree
Hopefully Ben Lewis and Jack Lyall will perform in Cars the Musical
Jack Lyall will play Lightning McQueen
And Ben Lewis will play Doc Hudson
It is amazing how young Ben and Anna look out of costume! And yet, when they are in character, I believe their maturity as the Phantom and Christine!
I love both Anna and Ben and Ramin and Sierra. Can't believe this musical isn't more popular!

What about gread butter and Emmy rossum they are the best phantom and Christine
@@daynacooper1163 I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree. I like Mr. Butler and Ms. Rossum...but I believe their are better pairings for Phantom and Christine.
It should be illegal to be as gorgeous as Anna
Anna and Ben...two beautiful voices that fit together wonderfully ...
Now I know what Ben Lewis looks like without his Phantom make up. Very handsome man.
It truly was a beautiful production. Everything was perfect. Ben: And finish the show with a bang
Me: hahahaha I see what he did there
Laughing slowly turns to sobbing 😂😭
omggg hahaha.... hah... ha.....😔😢😭😭😭😭😭😭
Fun fact: Ben's brother Alexander played Raoul in the Australian production of Phantom (2008)
wow and Ben is now playing the Phantom in the west end
Isobel Duncan
He played phantom too.
I want to see these guys perform the original 'Phantom' together. Their chemistry in LND is out of this world. I attended the third-last performance of LND in Sydney and it was magical. Bawling my eyes out by the end. Come back to Sydney SOON!

they are both so gorgeous and so talented
i wish the production with them had never ended. they were the best pair for love never dies.
Sitting here in the US Covid madness absolutely astounded by your talent. Sure wish you both could have toured the show over here. Huge love to you both! What a wonderful production!
A tour just finished last year.
blissinchains yes the US had a tour and my coworker played Raoul, it was wonderful! I simply wish I had chance to see Anna and Ben too!
HE IS THE ONLY PHANTOM I WILL WATCH, this will sound picky but all the others just don't do much for me. Ben makes me cry, laugh, smile, and everything
I definitely like some of the others, but he is my absolute favorite! His voice is phenomenal and so full. I’m fully obsessed!
Maryann Koretoff the only phantom ill watch is Ramin Karimloo but i still watched the yt live stream of lnd and the og phantom opera
My favorite Phantom and Christine. I'm so glad we have a movie of it. Love them!
He's so sweet and gentle. What a transformation. Amazing actor and singer. ❤️. Anna so brilliant too xxx
Miss you so much! The show was so beautiful ! Anna and Ben you are in my heart...

Amazing actors, amazing chemistry, amazing show. We'll miss you!!!
They both need to be in Phantom of the Opera and I will pay big money to see them
Ariana LaMark
She did, couple of years ago in Australia and London.
Ben is in the London production currently
Anna was in the WE production of Phantom a few years ago. I saw Ben in London just recently.
Ben is the main Phantom in the UK on now
I cry every time I watch it.. love both of them...
Ben and Anna were the most greatest Phantom and Christine Couple ever!
I love this version of LND!!!!!! It's absolutely amazing.
*Meeting Ben and getting to do a acting workshop with him for my class’s band trip was the best moment of my life*
I can't wait for LND to go back on Broadway! Though I cry every time I watch it I love LND.
Lola Laufeyson it wasn't even on Broadway to start actually, if it was on Broadway already then I'm surprised, but I think you're referring to London
I only really hear about LND from my friend . I've only ever watched the Australian version on a DVD I bought. Sorry. Thank you for correcting me :)
too sad i found , got stares from sobbing at this

It was a Magic Production i went to see at this wonderful Theatre Ben Lewis and the cast deserve their success all the best in the JUK
I think I will cry when LND finishes as I do every time I watch the ending! :(
Ben and Anna make an adorable pair on stage! ☺️❤️❤️
In a recent interview,Andrew said that he was thinking about it.He said that he thought that the Aussie production looked better ,he felt that the London one looked "unhappy".There is a planned opening on Broadway..
How could this close in April 2012?? I never even HEARD of it until SEPTEMBER of 2012!!!

Anna is this generation's Anne Blyth - exactly the same singing voice. Please bring LND back to London in 2021!
I don’t get why people don’t like them, they are just as good as Ramin and Sierra
I went over to Sydney last Friday to see Love Never Dies and it was brilliant, congrats to all the Cast and Crew for a really fantastic production, i hope that it may make its way to Adelaide soon!
i was honestly too busy singing along rather than listening xD LOVE them both!

So cool to see them out of the LND characters. They seem like really laid back cool people. LND is really a great musical, very underrated.
i'm totally phangirling over ben haha. loving the accent! :D
They should do a revival of this production in Australia post 2023!!!
I'm going on Wednesday and hoping to go again closer to the end...Don't leave! D: Haha
You all did amazing!
I want to see they perform again!
hearing the background music and them talking just shocked me. like their amazing actors for being able to sound like completely different people
This is the best musical ever more popularity much
I wish I could have been there!

Yep, just the two cities :( Just like "The Lion King" and a few other major musicals only went to Sydney and Melbourne.
The way Anna stares at Ben
He's married to someone else and she just became a mother, so she has a partner of her own.
@@blissinchains
He has kids?
They should come to Canada
Aww 😭😭😭
I adore them! And what would they do next? I wish to know more about Ben Lewis, but there is so few information yet
there might be a bit more because guess what Ben is the phantom in the UK now
Anna looks like some celebrity that I can’t remember which one. I would have want to see them in phantom of the opera show too.
Both have performed in West End's Phantom of the Opera, although at different times
What is wrong with me? Ben looked more attractive as Erik/Phantom than he does as his normal self
Rosie Rennie
He's tired here.

Any idea what is in the wings? Now that they're both in London... is the Aussie LND going to London? (I HOPE! It deserves to!)
not sure also Ben is now the Phantom in London now
Mad talent in ozland
I can't wait til it opens on Broadway. Andrew Lloyd Webber better allow the original London cast to do this version.
is the LND cd got sierra boggess or anna o'byrne on it?
is it just me or was it like they were cutting each other off to get a chance to talk?
I am like best friends with one of the boys
thats a pretty aussie thing to do, tryst me haha
I love them. Anna marry Ben or else I will.
Nelle Biremandie
Do you want to be the second?
+TheMsiaddict the second to marry Ben? ...... Wait is Ben already married?
Nelle Biremandie
Yes.
+TheMsiaddict to who? Since when? OMG
Nelle Biremandie
I told you before. His wife was his classmate at the performing academy. She's a performer as well Melle Stewart.
@happyperson24
I know clever :)
I didn't know they were Australian!!!
Ben was born in London but he grew up in Sydney.
good point
Does Ben ever comb his hair? 😂
She interrupts him so much! -.- I hate it when people do that I think it's so rude
You can get a cd for both personally I'd buy Sierra's.
lol that forehead...
