I agree, interesting, but a tad strange that they had him sing Christine's cadenza from the original. Imagine how hard that must be when auditioning boys for the role 🤣
I know I’m not one to judge as I like this version but I did hear the one who played Gustave at like around 0:42 he sang the note right but I noticed it went flat for a tad then went back into tune
It’s mostly seen in the US tour, I’m not sure of the other versions but that’s what I’ve heard, Ben Lewis also has sang this version but I’ve only found it on RUclips and on Spotify
Bronson is very talented and a sweet person, I think that’s why people like him so much. That doesn’t necessarily equal how many videos of a person end up coming out. Not many people were filming at that time and those who were caught Bronson. Luck of the draw.
Is anyone having a hard time hearing them sing some of the lyrics? I am even wearing headphones and it is still hard for me to hear what they are saying half of the time. Which frustrates me cause I WANT to enjoy this performance.
Good now more changes I would make Change the setting from a fucking circus to an opera house in Vienna. Get rid of bathing beauty and all traces of it as well as coney Island waltz and anything that gives off circusey or American vibes and replace em with more operatic songs. Give it a more Gothic tone. Remove the circus goons I hate them and everytime there on screen I cringe I'd have Gustave hear someone playing the organ, then go down himself being drawn to the music and the darkness. Erik threatening Gustave bye, did he learn nothing from Phantom, him moping over Christine can go as well.
Me personall: I would set the sequel 17 or so years later in the 1890s and have the phantom become entranced by early film. Maybe have him open an early Nickelodeon and make his own movie with effects using his magician abilities.
As much....as I detest the "Vaudeville Trash" in LND, you're kind of missing the point of it. The Phantom-- Erik, and Christine, has lost their passion for music by being apart. Bathing Beauty, and other Meg/Coney island music is Erik just putting out music he hates to keep the bills paid because the masses like it. It's just mindless noise with none of his passion or soul in it, probably takes him a day or two to write. Until then we get the Aria which we can assume took him the summer to write for Christine, and there we see what 'his' music is, its heart and soul. Yes, the premise sucks, but, we can kinda see where they were going with it.
Gustave's voice is extraordinary!
Erik: now sing
Gustave: sings the way that’s more comfortable for him
Erik: I SAID SING 🤬
Not a fan of LND altogether, but definitely of this song
The guy playing the Phantom here is clearly having a blast. Good for him
This is Bronson Norris Murphy if you were wondering :>
🎶Ten years OOOOOLLLDDDD!!🎶
This kid at 10: Playing the child of the LEADS
Me at 10: Thinking that playing LEGO was cool
LEGO is cool
wait, so that means there is no longer ten years oooold in this version
Love the Nod to the Original Musical!!!!!!! 1:15
they really had the child sing christine's cadenza 😭😭 💀
Ikr I was like 😀
@@kathrynanderson9118 he's definitely her son! lol
The Phantom must have been getting flashbacks 😂
Yeah, the new staging looks a lot better than the original, and the actors work well with it.
Not me just LOSING IT at his scream
Wow, I love this version of the song even more than the original one
I prefer this version of the song to the one in the album.
Fascinating staging...
i love it! he seems much more like the Phantom here
I definitely prefer the original version of the song (wonder why they changed it so much?) but the staging is amazing - a big improvement!

I like the homage to the original title song but they reworked the verses like they weren’t the best part of the song
It was changed because ALW wanted this to be more Rock-like
That's indeed Jake Heston Miller as Gustave.
I like how they made the song sound more like something akin to Dead Can Dance
Definitely Jake as Gustave! lol
I like it!
Wow!💕

I like the original arrangement better, but their voices are still amazing
Huh, they used Phantom of the Opera. Interesting, because they didn't use that before.

@@stone1488that because he was only in the new soundtrack and in the 2012 love never dies
People clearly seem to be obsessed with BNM. Otherwise, why the hell are there more videos with him than with Gardar Thor Cortes?

i saw us toue with gtc. just as good as ramin
i love this show but why when rewriting it did they change this song to this. this is not the better option.

feb 3rd?
boston opera house?
September 25, 2018- St. Louis
Gustav looks too old he looks like he’s like 13 and Gustav is supposed to be like 9 or 10
Good now more changes I would make
