@@_dot-kv6by Christine named him after her father, Gustave. FYI: In the film version (Gerard Butler &Emmy Rossum), Gustave on his deathbed and the miniature picture in the opera house chapel is Ramin Karimloo. His name is in the closing credits.
I like the chemistry Ramin has with Harry Child, they look like they work really well together, and that's always important for child actors in stage shows, which can be really demanding. Ramin just has such an effortless stage presence and really brings a lot to the role of the Phantom!
Can you imagine how dangerous it is for fangirls to be in the audience of an actual show? They have to sit still and watch calmly, fighting every instinct and urge to spaz, scream, squeal, and generally freak out. All of that bottled up emotion is bound to cause at least six strokes a show.
Ramin at the end: *Switched some lyrics accidentally* Child: alright I stick with it then Together: *accidentally make an even better ending where Gustav doesn't freak out*
I MAY have fallen in love here. Despite my wanting to hate this show, I ADORE this song (and several others). I just can never get this song out of my head. It's so hypnotic and seductive. Looove it.
This is absolutely amazing! And although they did mess up at the end there with Ramin fudging up a few lines and Harry being off key when he sang "To the splendor" and "To the glory", I really really liked how it ended. Instead of him screaming, he sings, "The beauty underneath~". It sounded so natural that it almost seems like in this version, he's accepted the Phantom. That's just so pure and wonderful. I much prefer this ending than the original.
I wish Webber would write a new rock opera for Ramin to star in. I've forgotten what great rock songs this incredible musician can pen. More importantly, this excellent song is exactly right for its place in the play, dramatically vital and revelatory. Musical theatre at its best.
I hope our drama teacher lets us do this for this years musical. My 7 y old sis likes to play both this and the phantom of the opera all the time. this halloween shes going has christeen she wants me to be the phantom and val to be meg
I am an ocean away from the West End. Ramin. and LND...Im being tortured. I loved this performance. Ramin looked at Harry as if he were the proudest parent in the universe. Beautifully done. both.
Idk how many times I've hit the replay buttom before writing this comment. Dang Ramin 😩😩😭😭🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼😍😍❤️🖤I live a rocker Phantom! Ramin can sing rock and metal and still sound SOOO GOOD!. He's PERFECT. He's not hunan. I love how he so much enjoyed this performance 🖤🖤
*sighs* God I can't believe how long ago this was now. I remember seeing Ramin play Phantom back at the end of 2006 and he was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. I even swapped a couple of emails with him about his characterisation and he was an eternal gentleman. I love seeing how well he's done for himself.
Anybody noticed how Ramin wanted to rock out so hard but he had to stay in-character? Hahaha!
Ahhhhhh my Ramin. Rock on baby. 💜
I did notice that he did so well to not let himself go and I love how sweet he is with Harry he's so encouraging ❤
Omg I did 😊
lol. so cute
Lol he really does
Oh god, these haircuts are soo 2010's I can't breathe 😭
I know lol. I love Ramin to death, but that haircut is really not a look 😂😂
I actually prefer it to most current styles.
Ramin looks adorable with that haircut tho
So that's what the song would've sounded like if Gustave didn't freak out.
this needs more likes
Who the duck n a new their kid Gustove

Looks like someone else did in the crowd.
@@diannelavoie5385 thats crazy! just looked that up and its true, what weird is he didnt play the phantom till 2007.
Imagine Ramin singing this with one of his sons

Victoria Ho yesss

He did it with his son Jaiden when he was a child.
Victoria Ho id do anything to see that
THE HAIR RUFFLE AND THE FIST BUMP OMG THEY'RE PERFECT AS FATHER AND SON
IKR...
What I wouldn’t give to be his son
@@kitdav2631 carry all that talent in your veins
THE WAY RAMIN PATTED HARRY’S HEAD 😭😭
The difference between stage performers and pop artists: When stage performers sing live, they actually sound THE SAME!
Very true 👍🏾
2:06 I was ready for this part.
...
...
My ovaries were not.
I can't stop smiling. Ramin is the most perfect human being. He's so cute.
+pondify phan and Ramin are you my lost twin or what
absoulety agree !!!!! hes so cuteeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
+Julia Howlter hahahah
Lets take a moment to appreciate the fact that they don't allow girls to scream like that at the actual play
YES.
I like the chemistry Ramin has with Harry Child, they look like they work really well together, and that's always important for child actors in stage shows, which can be really demanding. Ramin just has such an effortless stage presence and really brings a lot to the role of the Phantom!
IF I SAW THIS LIVE I WOULD FAINT
yeah
Same
omygod..... Ramin is so adorable... that whole bouncing thing he did when the little boy sings....
That hair ruffle, the fist bump and the high five were too bloody cute
I love how the kid growls at 2:15 xD It would be so cool if Gustave did that in the play as well
+Théa Dae Phantom incarnate amirite?? :D
Yessssssss
Can you imagine how dangerous it is for fangirls to be in the audience of an actual show?
They have to sit still and watch calmly, fighting every instinct and urge to spaz, scream, squeal, and generally freak out. All of that bottled up emotion is bound to cause at least six strokes a show.
It seems they did it anyway. And this was before the royal Albert hall recording
Sierra just casually watching the performance from the side of the stage with the proudest face I've ever seen. ❤😊
Timestamp plss??
I just have this image or Ramin doing all of these actions as the Phantom. Like fist bumping Gustave.
The hair ruffle as well as the fist bump and high five. Is amazing 😀
is my idea or before every Ramin live presentation someone screams "I LOVE YOU"? I mean i'd do it too tbh
Yeah it happens a lot but can you really blame him
People should not miss that golden opportunity. Yep, I would definitely do the same
I love how they sing to the crowd but they always look and find each other to sing to each other. And yes I'm over analyzing this. But their voices
Of course I haven't been watching this non stop for about 30 minutes, that'd be crazy.
I've been watching this for way more time than 30 minutes
Love Ramin when he sings this song. Such a raw talent with such a powerful stage presence. Loved this show so much.
I totally did not just watched this like 4 times in a row.
Ramin’s dimples though
Ramin at the end: *Switched some lyrics accidentally*
Child: alright I stick with it then
Together: *accidentally make an even better ending where Gustav doesn't freak out*
I MAY have fallen in love here.

Daing that boy can sing and just to say Ramin looked really hot in that outfit
I bumped into him in New York
LUCKY
Was he nice?
4:19 Ramin "cool we're don--where'd THAT come from?! awesome, bro..."
It's almost subtle, but that double-take is awesome.
I love how they are literally rocking out to musical theater. This is the best thing I’ve ever seen!!!
That last part Harry sings God, it just sounds so much better than the hideous scream from the soundtrack
This is absolutely amazing! Ramin whether portraying a character or simply just singing onstage is just soooo 🔥🔥🔥
Harry and Ramin have the perfect father son chemistry ❤️ 😊

Ikr???? 😩
This is just awesome! I love Ramin! And Harry is adorable! Ramin treats him like his own child in this video. It's adorable.
When musical theater goes metal.
This is quite possibly one of my favorite videos of Ramin because he is himself in this. Love it!!
i love how at the end when harry has his unexpected line Ramin gives him a high five slap and smiles
That kid has a lot of guts getting up there props to u
Dang that boy can sing puberty will ruin that:p
i went to performing arts school with harry and trust me his voice got better!
+ItsJustMatt yup, that's how it is with singers, if you're good before puberty then you're excellent after puberty
Only temporarily
Ramin I'am your angel of music, come to me angel of music!!
no one
absolutley no one
Ramin fangirls when Ramin sings one note: *Demonic fangirl screeching 5 octaves higher than christine daae's vocal range*
Wow, that’s pretty high.
Leave it to Ramin to be wearing jeans
Oh my I wanna marry Ramin, honestly, his voice is like nothing I heard before, and HE'S IRANIAN! ^^
I can see that Ramin Karimloo is still in Erik/The Phantom character, when he always does that thing on his fingers
Too much ramin overload. Love him
I hope our drama teacher lets us do this for this years musical. My 7 y old sis likes to play both this and the phantom of the opera all the time. this halloween shes going has christeen she wants me to be the phantom and val to be meg

Oh my,I'm way too old to be a fan girl....but...I think I qualify...one of my favorites from LND!
omg that kid may sing higher Han I do...I'm a girl...nice pipes kid, 2 thumbs up :D

panicking pineapples contralto gang
This is probably my favorite song in LND :D
anyone else notice how they both had rags or something like that in the same pocket
I love that they’re singing a theatrical song but preforming it like pop singers
Lets go cry because of how perfect this is.
Ramin's so beautiful...Almost too beautiful. Do you see what I see?
He's 💫heavenly💫.
Yes, your world is beautiful! This makes me want to take a trip to Coney Island for real!

Ramin and Harry are the shit. They're both totally perfect for their roles. Love this show.
God this was like my first CD with Ramin in it. He's awesome.
"Quantas vezes você viu esse vídeo?"
Eu: Sim
I love how he ruffles his hair like that. D'awwww.
All the comments talking about how cute Ramin is yet no one is mentioning the kid 😂
They're both so adorable lol
Harry is such a sweet little Gustave, and Ramin is just so cute too!
Wow. This is the first time I've listened to Harry Child sing. He's AMAZING!!!!! Of course, Ramin was fabulous.
Lol I loved their fist bump xD
The BEST performance of this song I've ever seen... And Ramin is so sweet ^-^ Best phantom !
Fantastic duo, thanks for sharing this.
I'm dead, too much wonderful in one video!
I think I would've melted if I saw this live.
OMG!!!! The Phantom is rockin!!!!!!!! LOVE RAMIN EVEN MORE!!!!! totally drooling.....
I like this version better than the stage/film version as there's no ear-piercing scream at the end - but these two are great singers anyway.
awesome
Bless that boy is so adorable ^_^ these two make a great pair singing together :D amazing song!
