I just saw the cast yesterday and I'm really shocked that I loved Dean's Phantom performance as much as I did. Way better live. And Lily was unlike any Christine I've ever seen. Act 1, she's a kind softie then in Act 2 she's a sassy diva. Exactly how I expected Christine to be. Lily is possibly my new favorite

If I remember correctly, Tim was Peter Hoffman’s understudy. You can hear Peter’s influence in the way Tim sings the phantoms score

I love the 90s recordings. The voices were clear, with a classical touch and the singers only sang the notes, without their 'extras'. I hope West End will return there at some point. Thank you very much for uploading. :)

Judging by the audio alone - Adam is phenomenal in the titular role! He definitely is perfectly cast and deserves his place among the best like Michael Crawford, Hugo Laporte, Alexander Lewis, etc.

For someone not properly trained in classical voice, Claire Moore is a raw talent. Such a shame she didn’t refine it - she’d become even better than she has sadly become now.

Renee Knapp is an excellent Christine with good clear diction and believability. Tim, though, sounds as if he’s depressing his larynx, or is doing what those in the operatic/classical circles refer to as “having a hot potato in the throat” - a similiar problem is observed with Attila Csengeri and many others which attempt the role. His vocal technique definitely needed more work. His delivery is not the worst, though.

JOJ performance is amazing! I was extremely impressed with Ramin's performance at 25th anniversary edition and thought no other Phantom would be able to match that, but JOJ's is... wow! Now I'm not sure which Phantom is my favorite anymore lol
