    So literally because of this video I am now able to start streaming! I purchased this product Friday and it’s arriving Monday. Plus with you having an iMac setup, the same as I do it’s able to be a lot more understanding! So thanks seriously!

      You are so welcome! Thanks for your support and good luck with your stream!
      I’m considering starting my stream back up soon as well, now that I’m starting to build up a small following here.

    Thank you for the awesome video! I want to stream Minecraft from my switch to RUclips, would you recommend this capture card for that purpose? I do want to get an HDMI splitter as I’d like to still be able to play using my TV screen while streaming to my laptop, have you seen how this capture card handles split HDMI? Would you be able to make a video showing latency comparisons?

    • @TheNintenNERD
      @TheNintenNERD  2 года назад +3

      Thank you!
      This should work perfectly for you. You actually won’t need an hdmi splitter, because you can use the hdmi out on this card for your tv. Plug the switch into the hdmi in and connect to your computer using the usb 3.0 cable that comes with the card, where you can then connect to your streaming software. I did it this way when I first started, just make sure your settings in your streaming software are set correctly.
      Hope this helps! If you’re interested, you can use the link in my description 😉

      I didn’t see your comment about latency comparisons. I’ll be sure to do that in a future video, thanks for the suggestion. It’s pretty spot on in my opinion.

      @@TheNintenNERD hey! I was wondering if you’ve experienced this issue before: I’m trying to run a test stream but I’m not getting any audio output in OBS. I have the video capture device preferences set the way it was explained in the video, calling out the Mirabox as a custom audio device, but I’m not getting any feedback from the switch at all

      I know Mac doesn’t have a reputation of being a “gamer’s machine” like PC, but this works very well on my M1. I really like this setup 😃

    I wanna ask can a Voice Over and the Game Audio work at the same time with this Capture Card?

    • @powerzebra6464
      @powerzebra6464 3 месяца назад

      Oh also Without a Facecam

    • @TheNintenNERD
      @TheNintenNERD  3 месяца назад

      This only captures game video and audio. You need a microphone and an audio capture software for voice-over. You can either do the voice-over in post, or you can use something like OBS to capture each individual media - one channel for the capture card audio, one for the capture card video, and one for your microphone. You don’t need a facecam if you don’t want or have one.
      I hope this explanation isn’t too confusing!

    So false advertising on Mira’s side. Doesn’t allow 4K pass through, only 1080. And audio capture doesn’t work due to it being usb 2.0 and not usb 3.0. 😤

    • @TheNintenNERD
      @TheNintenNERD  2 года назад

      There was another one I saw that allowed for 4k passthrough, I just opted for the 1080p one. I had to actually set the Mirabox as an audio output device to capture the audio in OBS.
