Family of millionaires, hands down u gotta be super rich, hands down.
We are super rich indeed… rich with love and experience and dreams and drive. The cool part about the loop is that you don’t have to be rich to do it. You just need the desire and the drive to figure it out.
VBS #40, the big four zero and I’ve seen them all. Too many favorites to choose just one. Everyone please pick up 4 pieces of trash for 10 days to celebrate VBS #40! Thanks you guys for all the time and effort you’ve put into making these videos. S
OMG! I LOVE this idea! Thank you for thinking of it and thank you so much for watching all the videos and joining us on this crazy adventure. We really appreciate it!
You guys are great and I have been following you from day one !! BUT YOU HAVE TO PICK ONE!!!! LOL
We have!!! Hopefully we can tell everyone soon. Thanks so much for joining our adventure :)
I LOVE Hatteras, Grand Banks, all of those. But the Four cabin, Four head you bought is The BOAT that I truly love !! For the Great Loop OR the Sacramento Delta and S.F. Bay. I LOVE your boat and IF I had the money I'd give your asking price ! Great boats throughout your videos with only a couple that were actually junk. Still watching!
Awww thank you!!! We agree that it is THE Boat -- especially for a family. We could live on her forever -- such great space. Will be super sad to see her go but onward and upward. Thanks for still watching. Lots more videos to come.
The 60’ Viking CMY is my favorite that you’ve reviewed, the Hatteras 56 would be a close second.
Those are both good ones for sure!
So no love for the tiara yacht? They’re built for the great lakes… based out of holland mi!
Tiara's are great boats Jake and we definitely saw a lot of them while we were in Georgian Bay, North Channel and the Lake Michigan. Unfortunately their larger boats like the 53' did not have the right interior layout for our needs of a family of four. Thanks for tuning in!
🎉💥✨ And every episode was epic!
Awwww thank you Jude Bug!!!
The Nordhaven definitely my number 1 choice but really expensive. I still go to with the ol reliable Hatt. But the Grand Banks has the wow effect. Whom am I kidding? They’re all nice and I’ll take any of them😉👍😀😀
LOL. I feel the same way! So many great options that we'd be happy on.
Love it guys!
Thanks Chris!!!
Second comment in. Thanks for all your videos. Great energy and always fun to watch! Can't wait to see the final boat you end up with.
Awww thanks Dan!!! Your kind comment just made our day :)
My vote would be the fleming 58
Wait until you see what we picked:)
Voyagers have a great comfort level floorplan. But if the Hatteras is in good working order, I'd go with the HAT
Hatteras are great boats for sure! The tricky part is finding one in good working order.
It would have been cool to se the interiors and features of each boat. Happy cruising and safe travels. Greetings from NC. 🛥️😎👍
We have individual episodes that show the interiors and features of each boat. There are links in the description. This episode was designed to be a quick recap of our favorites. Thanks for watching :)
@@TheBoomershines thanks for letting me know. I'm on it. Have a great rest of your week. ❤️
@@Captain_Clark_CDoryAdventures You too!
I kinda like the outer reef trident. It would be a awesome loop boat but they crammed too much on the main deck for my liking. I need room to breathe outer reef! 😂 but no it’s perfect for the loop the top lowers hydraulically and I believe it’s a 4’ draft
We loved the Outer Reef too and got to meet the lucky couple who bought it at the AGLCA rendevous. They plan on doing the loop in it!
Have you reviewed a Fleming? If so what episode
Come on spill the beans!!!! Time for you all to get a move on lol.
I feel the same way…
We are going as fast as we can. Hopefully we will be able to spill the beans soon!
Great share!!! Can you please comment on the maximum boat draft possible when spending additional time in the northern section of the Great Loop by traversing the Erie, the Rideau, and the Trent Severn canals. I believe each of these canals present different depth / draft limitations. Many Thanks!!!
We did the Erie and the Trent with a 4.5' draft. We had buddy boats with a 5' draft and all the ones with a 5' draft had prop damage of some sort along the way. We did not have any prop damage. So technically you can go up to 5' but just plan for some down time to repair or switch props. I don't know about the Rideau. Hope that help!
Very much so! Thank you! 4.5' appears to be the max depth.
Looking at doing the loop, Are you members of the
The AGLCA?
Yes! It is super helpful. You should absolutely join. Tell them we sent you :)
What is the air draft of these boats? I think that this best boat or even minimum acceptable boat is make or break on the drafts.
We learned on our Loop draft is way more important than air draft. Anything over 5 feet gets really tricky (and expensive) for the boats we traveled with that had deep drafts. Luckily we we were 4’6” draft. ⚓️Mark
Did you Ever see the Hatteras Haul test at the Factory U Tube , built like a tank.
In the bang-for-buck category…Have you looked at Roughwaters (Ed Monk)? We love ours, and always get comments on her beautiful classic lines. She has a very shallow draft. Ours has a bow thruster which makes maneuverability easy! They’re always in demand and tend to hold their value.
Remember, the bigger the boat, the more all-around costs in fuel and slip rates. Larger boats are harder to find available slips for, so that’s definitely worth considering. Ideally, it’s best to go with the smallest boat you can comfortably withstand (unless you can’t stand your boat mates, in which case, The Queen Mary wouldn’t be big enough).
Thanks for reaching out! Ed Monk was a great naval architect! We actually are 5800 miles into our Great Loop and we have loved our Ocea Alexander 56 that we purchased! Thanks for watching!
You both were totally outclassed on VBS #41. Sorry, after just forty episodes the new talent effectively retired you guys. That’s just the way it works in Hollywood! Maybe a trawler is too fast for the old timers, or you’ll need a captain so you can take your teeth out and take a nap. 😂😉🤣😂Seriously, you’re kid’s pulled that off like veterans. Thanks, that was great!!
LOL. We are officially out of a job. And I just realized comments were turned off on that video. Not sure why. But glad you got a chuckle out of their version of VBS
Today walking Miss Khloe dog we picked up three pieces of trash and thought of y'all. Can't wait for the big reveal.
THANK YOU Barry & Miss Khloe!!!
The Ocean Alexander is a great boat.
We agree! Great boats and a great brand. We have been very impressed.
How about Kadey Krogen! Trawler speed for sure but.. 6 GPH and awesome space
Kadey Krogens are great boats for sure!
Anything on the Loop over a 6 kt current (not uncommon) can result in a very long day! Amazing boats though. ⚓️Mark
So, it would seem a Nordhavn would struggle with more than draft challenges.
@@alanrossshadix8717 Yes. Both air draft and water draft are a concern with a Nordhavn on the Loop. Both as a result of Nordhavn's amazing blue water cruising characteristics. Air draft because they utilize a dry stack exhaust which eliminates a through hull exhaust, and water draft because of the bulbous bow and full keep making it a full displacement vessel. ⚓️Mark
My point - Nordhavn Owners seem to manage currents very well as they literally cruise the world. So, low speed Trawlers (with acceptable air and water drafts like Krogen) should be capable of handling the currents encountered on the loop. But, I understand the personal preference for more speed.
Hatteras and Grand Banks are hard to beat.. Just sayin
Yes they are!
So many great boat choices
Eastbay 43 HX
Fuel ?? Mpg ?
We get into more details on each boat episode that we previously did. This was just a recap of our faves. Go check them out and thanks for watching! ⚓️Capt Mark
Show pics of the boats for more than 6 seconds rather than your coffee cup...just and I idea, otherwise good video with good information. Thanks
Noted.
I got to 3:34 That’s all I could take
That’s a good thing… we’re probably not your cup of tea. We cater to positive, joyful energy. Not everyone goes for that. ⚓️Capt. Mark
56 HATTERAS OR 46 Grand Banks are the best
any "beam" limits?
Sort of. The smallest lock on the Trent Severn is 23' wide but there are alternative routes that avoid the Trent and therefore that 23' limit.
@@TheBoomershines Thank you guys!!! hope you had an amazing Christmas
You got a boat and now when does the journey begin
Hopefully in a few weeks!
@@TheBoomershines 👍 looking forward to viewing your journey. I was able to do 1/2 the loop east coast side to Lake Michigan near Charlevoix. Wish you the best safe boating
Always leave the beach with less trash than I found it on my walks.
That is the best way! Thank you Brandon!
Hey if you need a tutor / Great Butler (for a short time yes with papers call me) Luv you All Soo much Fun planning the journey hey what's with insurance and getting financing with 1985 Hatteras Stabilizer ( resale) why is it so hard And you need a space to paint an Afterdeck is the best covered protection
Quick question why are all new boats have No Afterdeck with Covering Room like I don't get it you need a Space to work and kids need to get away fr You The fronts great also solar on Too
Insurance is weird right now. We should do a whole episode on that. And agree with the new boats not having great aftdecks. I wish there was a new boat that had the livability of the 80's boats but we have yet to find it.
fun fact: Nordhavn means "pile of money" in some ancient language.
That is funny LOL
@@TheBoomershines Sorry, it means "LARGE pile of money". Their boats are well designed, engineered, and built but just very expensive.
more videos on the boats, less on you two
Ha! What… you don’t like our pretty faces? If you would like to see more of the individual boats, we have videos specific to that boat linked in our comments. This was just a recap. Capt. Mark.
AGREE!
You picked too many boats with air height over 19 feet. Won’t work on the loop
Actually they can work for the loop. We just completed the loop in a boat with an air height of just over 20 feet after scraping everything off her hard top. She was 23 feet with her radar and satellite dishes. Where there is a will, there is a way!
Someone else's boat
Those are the best boats LOL.
Too much talking with no info
Well you get what you paid for Bob. LOL.
OK so I'm English but having worked for several American companies and visited the country lots of times and consider myself used to many American accents.
Having said that I have found your way of speaking quite difficult to follow at times. You rush your words and over emphasise at some points also too much mumbling.
Sorry folks.
No worries! Cheerio!
So y'all are not going into detail about any of these boats? Perhaps less talking by the blonde and more detail on the boats instead of wasting my ans other's time.
Hello Sean,
We did full videos on each of these boats -- so if you'd like to know more details you can watch those -- convenient time saving links are in the video description. We didn't want to waste yours or anyone else's time by repeating all that info LOL Speaking of wasting time, comments like this are not necessary, kind or helpful. Please save your time and mine by refraining from negative comments here.
The Blonde
🤣
@@TheBoomershines Now show us the response you chose not to send 😂😂😂
You guys rock!
@@bobbybobby8329 too harsh???? Sometimes The Blond (ie me) can't help herself LOL. Thanks for making us laugh and for the kind comment.
I always pick up trash🗿
Thank you!!!
