Hello Agufish! I have a question for you. I'm sorry to bother you, specially if you already sent the demo guitars back. I've had several Vs in the past, and currently have a 2016 "Brend Hinds" Epiphone Flying V. Most every one of these guitars were slightly "NECK HEAVY" (the Brend Hinds too). Is the Epiphone Flying V Prophecy also "Neck Heavy"? Got my Prophecy V a week and a half ago. My favorite guitar now. Changed my strings to NYXL 10-52 adjusted the intonation a bit. Stop Bar wrapped my strings. Workhorse and crushing. Love it
I've had the Prophecy SG Blue Tiger for a few days now. Workmanship is very good. This SG sounds fantastic. What a beautiful guitar. Thank you for the beautiful video of the Epiphone series.
Thank you so much for comparing these pups to others in the fluence line - really needed that in making my purchase decision. Also, ‘F’. Awesome work as always!

Dear Hunter! I am certainly one of the first 20 subscribers. You are appreciated. And Happy Holidays. Ohhh and you are really dynamic and playing extremely well. Cheers from Newport Beach, CA.
I just picked up the purple extura today. This thing is amazing. Punching way above it's weight class. Some tiny glue marks on the fretboard but otherwise the qc is perfect!

I ended up purchasing a Les Paul prophecy right after this video in the olive burst and first things I did to the guitar was buffed the front of the headstock and the top and after doing that it made the light flame my top had and made it really pop. I also stitched the toggle switch to a switchcraft and the guitar is now a beast.
TL;DW: 1) All four guitars sound the same. Choose based on body shape and colour. 2) All Fishman voices sound very similar with distortion. There are slightly clearer differences when playing clean.
If Epiphone released this last year it would have been a contender for LTD imo, but it feels like playing catchup - especially when stainless steel frets are on the new LTDs, as well as just more options.
Yeah, it's basically what Epiphone needs now, SS frets. Would also have been a great plus to have 4 knobs on the SG and 3 on the V and Extura to be able to change each pickup individually.
Dude the way U kept going through all the Guitars with the same tones and same guitar lines is a genius way to actually hear the difference in the guitars especially with all the different pickup configurations. Cheers 2 U . I was honestly surprised how bright that the Explorer was compared to the Les Paul and the V even to the SG.
Love the use of One Day Remains, Rise Today, All Nightmare Long and Blind Man for tone comparisons.... also did I hear a few of the chords from Best of You or am I imagining things? Keep up the good work, your videos are always a great watch

I got the SG on line. First thing I noticed on my brand new SG upon opening the box was the alarming nut. Very poorly made. Way out of spec under the 4th, 5th and 6th string. I did a complete setup and got the action where I wanted it. Since I had a gig coming up, I thought I should check the battery. Upon opening the compartment, the battery fell out and was hanging on the negative wire. The positive wire was completely failed. The only reason it played through the amp was because of compressive forces causing a connection. Yep. It went back. I'm going to give them one more chance, hoping I got a lemon. I'm gonna have to wait awhile, since the guitars are now on backorder and not presently available. So far, not impressed.
I've tried three, every one of them went back. I'm moving on from Epiphone. I've had too many issues with them and this was supposed to be their best yet. I'm probably going to grab me a Charvel Pro Mod so cal 2
They all look great. My favorite, the v. They can be the best epiphones ever made, but I feel there's some sort of stigma people have with epiphone guitars. I don't know what that's about. Great video, keep it up.
I freaking love that olive finish on the lp but just cannot get used to the longer neck with the 24 frets. Hoping they release a sliverburst custom more similar to the Gibson. Or even a cheaper Jones signature model
I think I'm about to get a ESP LTD MH-1007 as my first 7 string guitar. It just seems like the best option for me. I've always wanted an evertune because of how often you praise them
Crystal Lake and Fit For a King have used them on their last few albums and live. Great metal guitar, I wish it would have fishmans instead but can’t knock the classic emg 81/85s. I have owned one for about 8 months, probably will sell it just cuz I’m not a 7 string guy as much as I thought I would be.
I have the blue SG Prophecy and it fell out of use for a while, not the biggest fan of active pickups. My truss rod needed an adjustment and the action reset and now it plays great again. I want to add a trem system and heavily mod this one, add P90s and an out-of-phase.
So have they done away with the mother of pearl that surrounds the abalone and replaced it the perloid? Or is it still mother of pearl? I'm a huge lover of MOP and loved it on my previous prophecy
Puple Exutre. Yeah. But a Prophecy Firebird with Fishman Fluence's take on Firebird pickups ?!! Oh yeaaah Doesn't have to have that size, but that vintage sounds would rock.
Really makes you wonder how long was Gibson planning on this series getting a refresh. I'm sure even the pickups themselves took a long time to develop. I'm very pleased with these. Now if Matt Heafy could release his updated models, thatd be great....needs me a Snofall...
Well Hunter. I thought I was going to go with a schecter keith merrow as my next guitar. But I'm really thinking about going with a red les paul prophecy now.
I just bought mine the other day. It ranks up there with my silver burst as far as favorites colors, The black and blue would be cool but this red it sexy af and you don't have to fork over a couple grand to get the color in the gibson slash version which imo this one looks better than.
All sounded great,Led paul had a lil more crunch,sg a lol more high end, explorer was warmer and the flying V had higher resonance to me. But that's just my ear listening on n android.lol
been looking forward to your review on these, and you did not disappoint. I want the new Flying V. I've enjoyed Epiphone Guitars and already own an Explorer 84 and the Bjorn Gelotte Jotun.
If they put in the extra $100-200 for Stainless steel extra jumbo frets, I would already own one; my dream has been to own an SG, but their price and lack of modern specs has pushed me away. Getting a guitar regretted is a lot more expensive than it would be to just include better frets from factory, hence why I got an EC 1000 and not an SG or Les Paul prophecy. I’m sure most people wouldn’t mind a price bump up from $900 to $1000 for the upgrade, especially considering their competition is specking SS XJ frets for about $1050.
These are really nice. I was gonna pick up an older Epiphone Les Paul Slash Signature Rosso Corsa; but this one might have won me over. They really did their research and listened to the customers wants and needs on this one. That tone sounds great.
How is the neck weight on the SG? I'm just worried that it neck dives. I have a Gibson SG Special that it perfectly balanced but I know it's not the case with all of them haha
The tail piece still remains too close to the bridge humbucker and it's not recessed. The balancing issues of the SG ......light body vs heavy neck.......are they solved?
That's a serious greenday deep track...in the end. Hearing that was like getting in a time machine and going back to 1994. Dookie was the first album I ever purchased. I agree more then I thought I would. I am an explorer junkie thru and thru and the purple tiger finish...🤤. Even though I SHOULD get one of those, I would still choose the LP 9 out of 10 times. The 4 control layout is too good NOT to and, like you said, it's the only one in the line that has individual pickup controls. So I guess if I'm in an infinite tone mood the LP, if I'm more a flow n go the Extura.
The Les Paul and the Flying V have captured my ears, now if only Epiphone would release those models with all the new colors, especially the blue tiger finish, I would pick them up without a second thought.
