@@TungNguyen-vc3zu if you have bought the library, you can go to the drop down and it will say James hype Part 2. Any issues, email me beginnerdjlessons@gmail.com
I need to know how he uses the play/pause in slip mode. I love the effect but the only way I get that brakestop effect is with the tables (but the settings also make it start up slow as well) or doing an effect which doesn't sound as good.
For everyone waching this the actual trick is to have your hand over the fader. Because you only have to use your wrist. That wil make it a lot easyer and faster. Try that. It just wil go a lot smoother
@DJPhilHarris great content. Just got my "first" DDJ-400 and couldn't be more pleased with your simple and effective vids on YT. Very easy to pick up and execute what it is I see you do on screen. Seeing James Hype destroy a 400 in his living room is a thing of beauty. Dude is from a planet where EDM beats rule the BRAIN! LOL! Best believe when I start to get the hang of these knobs and effects, I will be jumping into your course. One really solid point I never knew was touching the side of the jog wheel will nudge, not stop! It's these little tricks I haven't heard from other vids. It's the little things that make shit EPIC! I purchased your "lifetime" music downloads last night and super pumped to start working on "Part 1" of your Hype tutorial. Got to get my wrist action working😎
Anyone worried about faders on controllers, try this same technique using the cross fader on the fast cut curve. You can get the exact same sound, with less movement, less effort and keeping your controller in better condition for longer. Also good if you're struggling with the up down motion of the volume fader.
i used to smash this in my local club all the time. djm900 faders are well over 8 years going strong. plus there not very expensive or hard to change out if you do have a fail in a djm900.
Hi Phil I've been watching ur vids an trying to lean some tips lol.. Where do I find riser effects pls I'm 47 an I still love my tunes😁 I have a hercules 300 and am just trying to learn.. Cheers 👍
curious, what record pool do you use, I had BPM Supreme for the past 4months, but I was thinking of switching it up, and trying a different one.. Mobile DJ, Weddings, private parties, etc.. Open Format- The Best Format !!!!
Unfortunately no one dj pool will be everything you need which is why it is always best to have at least 3 but I also know some DJs who are the top companies in their market that use about 7-8 pools it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish 😉
Such an awesome "performance trick"!! Very very cool!!!!!!!! (just that, like others said, on entry level controllers like mine, I think the faders will die pretty fast😁)
That sounded amazing. Surely gonna try this on my controller. Every time I practice the techniques taught by u, I feel more confident about my DJing skills. 🙏
Phil u should do a video showing when the best time to talk to ur audience At an event . Let's face it the last thing you want to do is shout down the mic and stop everyone dancing
@@djfitzuk Dont get me wrong you can do almost anything on cheaper 200-300 dollar controllers, all im saying is faders & knobs tend to break & give trouble after a shorter period than more expensive units..
Sorry I dont want to be rude but I paid the whole lesson for the single sample you used in this video only, however I cannot find it in your library as you said. Can you just send it to my email pls? I believe I emailed you 5 days ago.

this was awesome and nailed it - man you made this look so easy!!!

Thank you so much for these two James hype videos I have been wanting to see a tutorial on his style! Awesome video!
How do I download the sample? The link brings me to a course I have to pay for but I don't know how to download the one sample for this video

James hype said exact same thing about the ddj 400s
Hey man.... Thank you! Muchas gracias!
Great tutorial, well broken down and explained (same for PT1)
Nice tutorial! Will deffo practice this. Wondering how long the Pioneer faders will last!

Controller faders DONT last long.. my SX3 fader is already giving out with average usage at weekly gigs & I do take care of my equipment..
Will try this later keep up great vids phil
James Hype Whoopty mix would be a nice breakdown

How do I get that high riser audio?
Pleas make a how to Phil Harris.
It's called how to press play like Phil harris 😂
Where can I find instrumentals and acapellas for songs?
Great video phil, going to go practice this now. Thanks!
I would like to learn this. But I am afraid to destroy my mixer in the process :D :D
Lessssssgoooo Phill!

Excellent

I use Promo Only (also BPM supreme)

Let's have some more Hype style tutorials. In fact, why not do a famous DJ transitions breakdown?
Can you make a tutorial on Ultimate NRG Megamix on RUclips please
Thanks Harris, learning a lot and thanks for your tips
Really cool, but I can't find the Samples 🧐
Really cool series mate!
Thx for the knowledge👍👍👍
You should do laidback Luke next
Hey phill
could you do a how to FREDDY MOREIRA next? Just search his name on youtube and you’ll find a set of him playing
Freddy Moreira isn't particulary skilled close to let's say James Hype. His song selection is amazing though.
how can I put samples in Serato, Phil?? :((( Thanks broo
Such an awesome "performance trick"!! Very very cool!!!!!!!!
(just that, like others said, on entry level controllers like mine, I think the faders will die pretty fast😁)
Got some of the points right but he makes the loop shorter and also adds a bit of filter to it too
Noise effect to on record box? How do you get the whirling sound, i back spin it on a 1/4 loop and echo
This was fresh, more!!!! You’re videos are my cocaine
That sounded amazing. Surely gonna try this on my controller. Every time I practice the techniques taught by u, I feel more confident about my DJing skills. 🙏
Thanks, now I just need $2000 to buy cdjs
Laidback Luke also does this a lot, especially in his Festival sets.
DJ_PaulTUK in his mind vdeoes is amazng
Lovely thank you
put a bit high end filter on it
Nice
Where did you find “sleep tom - be right there (acapella)”? Been looking for it for awhile
Roger Sanchez also does this a lot every where!
Phil u should do a video showing when the best time to talk to ur audience
At an event . Let's face it the last thing you want to do is shout down the mic and stop everyone dancing
If u say something at the wrong moment
Cool stuff, but be mindful guys with controllers especially "cheaper" ones, your faders WILL start to fail if you keep doing this constantly..
What about SB-3??
Same thing applies.
Is the Mixtrack Platinum FX ok to do it on?
What exactly do you mean by cheaper ones? Thanks
