Bono's timing, and even the adlibbed "thank you" before the song reaches its creshendo is epic. The mixing is amazingly balanced and it feels like every instrument is singing.

The highlight for me is 04:41 where the Edge solo leads into the Larry Mullen climax and into the shine like stars snippet from Bono... truly a masterpiece.
The way he sings is so sexy he seems to eat the microphone, this is a song I will play repeatedly without feeling out of date and 1987 is really a legendary year. Even I was not born in that time, but I feel I was living in that time.
It was a great time indeed... Even then I knew it would be a classic. The energy and tension of the music and his voice is awesome throughout. These were the days before rap when singers had to sing and every idiot wasn't holding up a cellphone blocking your view.
