- These palsode guns quickly get dirty inside. The gas they use also has oil inside ti keep the guns lubricated. This oil can build up after they have shoot a few boxes of nails. The oil itself would probably be OK, but dirt and grit also builds up and sticks to the oil.
A regular service like this keeps the gun working and firing correctly.
Today these are still one of the best nail guns on the market.
not as powerful or as fast as some of the new cordless nailer. But paslode always wins for longevity. Well kept and serviced, these guns will last for 10 or 20 years easily.

I reckon we start a petition to get Deano over to the World of concrete in Las Vegas obviously have him sponsored by ITW Paslode and run a competition against him to see who can strip and rebuild a IM 350 the quickest and yes there has to be prizes involved. Paslode can be generous sometimes and tight 👌🏻sometimes but Dean deserves it… who’s in ?????🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😆😆😆😆
Really appreciate your breakdown and rebuilds, especially the nail guns. I’ve also learned from your troubleshooting methods and when to call a device irreparable. Your familiarity with each tool speaks to your craftsmanship and the artistry of repair. Cheers! 🍺
Dean to be honest I don't know anybody else that services then guns as good as yourself
Me encantó ❤
Nice job dean
Thanks
Thanks very much for that Matthew, really appreciate it.
Have you got a video of a full strip down and clean on the new paslode 360xi model ?
Well am ticking on for 70 and this is way too fast for me, and doesn't show close-up of how parts are put back, he is a master at this and well equipped, but too much a hurry for me thanks.
What’s your thoughts on putting non paslode gas through the guns?
What is the cleaning liquid you use Dean? Great videos especially the Paslode breakdown ones👍🏻
Hi Dean, what do you use to clean up the parts? Just regular water?
Hey Dean, how ya getting on? Quick question, what sort of needle nose pliers do you use to get the piston stop ring back in. I'm living in Portugal and they don't have paslode here, hence why I'm survicing mine but I can't find a needle nose pliers that opens wide enough here. They all just keep slipping out. If you maybe let me know the make and size of the ones you use I could order them from somewhere.
Cheers.
Nick
Ps. Love the video
Have you ever repaired a Makita Gn900 nailer? What is the difference between Paslode im350+ and Makita? In my opinion, they are completely identical except for the outer shell.
The diggerance is simple, the makita is completely crap.
Totally different guns, makit could never make a decent gas gun.
@@deandohertygreaser Thats interesting. I thought that they are indentical.
What is the biggest cause of a paslode being considered "garbage" or not worth the cost to fix. Great videos, thanks.
age and either a motor or spark unit failed. new motor costs 100 euro and a spark unit cost 150. its worth fixing if the gun has not been used much. but if its seen a lot of work, replacing them can simply be proponing the next part for fail.
@@deandohertygreaser Makes sense given you can get "broken" guns here for $100 or so that would most likely have salvagable parts or just need a basic tune up anyways.
Please deano fix my paslode properly it has been sent to be fixed so many times not to u of course works for a week then its fucked again at least if u fixed it it would be fixed properly urs hopefully Jim in tralee
