I have recently upgraded to the new Paslode IM360Xi nail gun for use within my fencing business.

@@Bacrenfencing I've only ever used the wee light guns at basically fire Brad nails that run off my wee compressor ...I've no doubt they must speed you up some amount.

I'm thinking of upgrading from my old super reliable paslode IM90i
a gun that never really caught on with all the ongoing development over the years of the 350 series guns.
It's interesting to now see that the i-series is making its come back....!
My i series 90 has been a magnigicent nail gun, and I never really understood why paslode promoted the 350 over it.... It was my belief over 10 years ago that the i-series was going to replace the 350 impulse and it never did...
After seeing the features of the IM360Xi it's interesting to see that Paslode have included many of the features from the much earlier IM90i
The nail loading system, quick release magazine, nose assembly and adjustment, all being taken from the early IM90i
Brilliant features, none of them new!
The i series gas being much easier to get hold of these days makes the new gun a far more attractive upgrade to me...
I've been waiting over 10 years for this gun to finally get the foothold in the market that is so rightly deserved, and for the gas to become a more mainstream idea... Hopefully after marker gas n nail manufacturers will jump on board now that this new incarnation is taking up its share of the marketplace, and gas prices will hopefully then drop and be more readily available...?

Nobody thats upgraded and is now using i-series guns, be it early days of im90i or today's newer IM360Xi (despite the more expensive gas) thinks that the paslode 350 impulse series guns are better... Because they just aren't!

I wish I'd of watched this video a few weeks ago.
I recently bought a new paslode first fix gun and after much deliberation I went with the 350+ again over changing to the 360xi. The crucial detail for me was that the 350+ is a good bit lighter. In hindsight is wish I'd of looked past the weight because the 360xi working in colder weather definitely the trumps the weight advantage of the 350+ . Also there much more options with fixings on the 360xi.

I was the same, I went for the 350 originally due to the weight but the weight difference between these two is not really noticeable. The fact that the gas is pretty much cold proof is excellent and the gar gauge is a great feature. I think the 360 was designed to use the round head nails but I use clipped nails and I do think there are a lot more nail options with it - not too sure ? Thanks for the comment

Yes, I was not aware until I done some research, I have been using Firmahold clipped nails and they work fine. This nail gun is really great, I have now put through 3-4K nails and it has not missed a beat. The gas and battery indicators are brilliant as well. Thanks for the comment !

Is it still not possible to use other gasses on the 360xi like is it possible to just take the top off the old paslode gas and put it on a off the market gas
No, the series-i gas canister has a totally different fitment.
How much lighter is the 350? Thank you great video
It is lighter but not that much to be honest, for me the benefits of the 360 outweigh the fact that it is marginally heavier.
I got both, 350+ all day long. It’s lighter and don’t miss a shot. No brainier.
360 is heavier, bulkier and not got for carrying around.
Thanks Kieran, same here, I have both, but I do prefer the 360xi as it has been a lot more reliable. The 350+ is good in the fact that it is lighter but my one always seems to need cleaned / serviced a lot more often than the 360 and the 360 is easier and faster to clear nail jams. The gas indicator on the 360 is a major plus for me also. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@Bacrenfencing yeah I do agree, I service mine every 6 months after bout 10,000 shots. If your doing fencing and on ground level 360 is perfectly fine 👍🏻. I just brought the new Milwaukee nail gun last week. That’s even better I personally think than both paslodes. No gas in my face 🤣
I fancy the Milwaukee as well as gets good reviews but the weight puts me off. How do you find the weight ?

@@Bacrenfencing depends on what you're doing really, nailing upward/roofing the 350 wins hands down, the cleaning takes bugger all- 6 screws and a squirt of cleaner- too easy. Like your video, it is another useful tool if it suits the purpose.
Would have liked seeing the new gun do any of the jobs the old gun can do.
They do exactly the same job, but the 360xi has some better features - I prefer the 360xi

360xi is more powerful and fires more nails per battery charge I have the 360ci love it
Thanks for the comment Colin, I have now been using the 360xi for a good couple of months and have put around 10k nails through it - honestly in love with the thing, SO much better than the 350+ not had a single nail jam. It is awesome. Thinking of buying a second one and getting rid of my 350+ back up. If the ci is anything like the xi, then no wander you love it 👍
I've been looking around what is the diffrence between the CI and the XI. I can't seem to find anything. Using the old 350 90ct still works well just fancy an upgrade
Hi, I was curious to know why people still go with the gas firing guns when there are so many cordless options that don't need gas?
Personally for me it is because of the weight difference. I always used Dewalt 18v nailers, but then switched to Paslode purely down to the lighter weight. I also find the gas nailers more powerful and more reliable than the battery versions. The weight of the battery nailers is terrible when using them all day. Each to their own though. anybody doing upward nailing or roof framing/battens or even just the fact its 35% lighter then the lightest battery nailer- youre going to be working for 50years, what value is your body? operations for damaged joints are very expensive nowadays! ps- I am 55 yo. still on the gun!

Paslode should make 21° framing gun. Milwaukee and metabo/hi koki is just way too heavy.
