    Thank you for all the extra steps you took to make this video. You were obviously so meticulous in that a single step did not go unfilmed (I'm sure that takes time and forethought), the lighting was good, you explained why each step was done, and you were clear and efficient with your instruction. So many how to videos leave out a few small details that can cause just enough confusion to slow down the project for the viewer, but you made this 100% clear, and I appreciate that so much. My 73 year old mother who has the mechanical inclination of a rock could probably pull this off watching your video. Thank you, sir.

    It took me over 3 weeks but i did it!!
    I stop & started this video over 200 times.
    One clip took me over a week to remove(I've absolutely NO strength in my hands to grip or at time to remove the bolts.)
    I let an idiot(cheap labor handyman)use my BRAND NEW Cub Cadet LT46 he bent the blade & broke the belt🤦🏽‍♀️ & the refused to fix it or pay for the repairs.
    But THANK YOU GOD for yours video.

    Trick on the bagger unit for this mower, to reduce clogging in the attachment point and tube, clean both, spray on liquid car wax, then buff the tube and attachment piece give it a try, also look at a dranzit hose for easy and safe oil changes. Eliminates accidental opening of the plastic drain fitting stays on mower you control where the oil drains too easy install

    • @fixitFlip

      Good tips! I like the drainzit hoses. I'm not a fan of the plastic Stens valves so I may install a brass nipple in the drain port. If I do, I'll make a video about it. That's what I normally do.

I have "Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro LT 46 in. 23 HP V-Twin Kohler 7000 Series Engine Hydrostatic Drive Gas Riding Lawn Tractor" it seems its blade is somehow stuck so when I try to engage PTO the engine stops, as I do not have jacks available to lift this up, do you think the blades can be examined or replaced by your way to remove the deck and easily replace the blade? By the way how many blades are there in this model, I am guessing one, but some videos showing it has got two?

    So I set my tire pressures, then adjusted the blades side to side at 3” and front to back as per your other video. Then I set the scalping wheels to about a half inch above the floor level. But now I can’t lower my deck any lower than 2 1/2” because the scalping wheels hold it up. What’s your thought??

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Год назад +1

      Totally normal. That’s why I said set the deck where you would normally cut and then adjust the wheels. If you are in New England and cutting cool season grass, you would never want to cut below 2 1/2 inches anyways. Only some warm season grass in the south would want to go below that.

      @@fixitFlip Well this has be an exceptionally rainy summer here in NH. Some roads have washed completely out, gardens have been flooded, and the grass has been growing so fast it’s a pain to keep up with. lol. We’re literally mowing any day it’s not raining. I mowed 2 days ago and it’s ready to be mowed again already. We just hope for enough sun to dry it out first. Most of the days is up around 90 degrees and super humid so cutting it a little shorter might give a little more time between mows. But as long as that’s normal for the deck, we’re good.

      @@TheNewenglandboys Oh yeah, that's normal. Leaving it a little longer will help keep weeds at bay, but I totally get wanting to whack it down low when it's tough to keep up with!

    I followed the removal last fall and reinstall this spring. I tried to reinstall from memory, didn't work out so good for me. So rewatched and followed your order, worked great.
    However One thing I did notice. I wondered when you put on bowtie clip for pto clip, you made it look so easy. Then I realized. On the pto clip there is a hole and a notch. I think the bowtie clip was meant to use the notch for the other side of the bowtie clip to make it more tight and hold more firm. It seems (unless I am wrong) you did not put the bow tie clip so it when on that side and went into notch. I wonder if that could eventually cause an issue.
    Either way once I followed your steps it went much quicker.

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Год назад

      Good catch. I will look closer at that clip next time I have the mower out! It's kind of a blind shot putting it in behind that bracket.

    In my opinion the weakest link on this mower is the deck. Granted my yard is rough on mowers but for the length of time I've had my XT-1 with the damage it has accumulated over that time, it is a flimsy mower deck. It is also a pain to keep balanced. Vibrating mowers and screw/nut adjusted balancing doesn't go well together at all. I had Case mowers 20+ years ago that I never had to balance, ever.

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Месяц назад

      Oh for sure. Definitely a thin, stamped deck. That's one of the things you pay for if you go up to the XT2 is the fabricated deck.
