That turned out great... I was thinking about something for my garden, but in California we don't get a lot of cold, I just need it for when the weather turns cold, perhaps a hoop design... but that's a real good looking green house I have to say!

@@AnaWhiteDIY you're welcome! If you might have a project for something for smaller, I have 4x8 foot raised beds... I need to keep the animals (birds, cats, etc.) from getting into them... And then something for the light frosts... so I'm considering something DIY for them like a cover... if anything comes to mind or you want to make a project for your channel.

Greenhouses require ventilation. Without adequate ventilation, it will overheat.

This is awesome - I love your builds. You make it look easy, but I know the time that must have been spent getting the plans right even before the build, and it turned out beautifully! For those of us that have little garden space, do you think you could help with plans for a victorian tall wall greenhouse? They're about £600 for a 198cm(h) x 147cm(w) x 74cm(d) and I know this can be made for far less...it'll go with the potting table I made last year (thanks again for that :)

Glad it just isn't me has problems with the H-channels. Also, great idea to pre-paint the framing members. We have some exposed rafters in our home that I'm glad we stained before we put them up.

Very nice, simple design... i like the prefinished wood before construction.
I noticed that your plywood sat inside the flooring. I would have brought the framing flush to the subfloor and let the plywood run over to tie the building to the subfloor. Is there a reason you did it your way (genuine question)?

I'm not seeing any sort of ventilation for air exchange and temperature control.
That's my concern too.
Not a big deal to block in, cut exterior plastic,and get either a solar fan, electric fan, or a vent that operates off reaching certain temp.@@glennr9913

I like those roof panels for a pergola. You mentioned the panels have an insulation factor, would help prevent the heat of the sun overheating the area?
Maybe you mentioned this and i missed it but what did this roughly cost in time and materials? Idk how much lumber costs where you are( im assuming Narnia) but 2x4s are like $4.20ea where i am.

Why no vents to let the heat out ?
The polycarbonate panels are in the wrong orientation. The channels should run vertically.
