Build your own greenhouse! Lots of tips in tricks in this video! We have also created a premium plan if you'd like to build this exact greenhouse here: www.sprucdmarket.com/plans/sm...
With Ryan's ruclips.net/user/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE plan I was like one taken by the hand and led step by step from start to finish. Thank you very much Ryan!
I wonder how noisy it is under heavy rain. I know no one is sleeping in it on a rainy night, but the noise could be heard from other houses in the summer night. Am I worrying too much?
Whoever designed this greenhouse needs to rethink the design. Not only the door opening inward but the polycarbonate is aligned incorrectly. Who attaches corrugated horizontally? Ana White. Don’t attach the corrugated sheets horizontally!
@@seanleith5312 Not as noisy as a tin roof. A little noise for hail resistant covering is well worth it. Anyway it’s the hail that makes noise rain would be the same as it hitting your skylight or window.
This is awesome... definitely see your little ones following in both you and Jacob’s footsteps, especially Hayes, Love to see him in the mix. Thank you for all that you do. Blessings to you and yours.
Love this! Very attractive, not too big. Perfect for me! Appreciate the thoughtful way you designed it to make best use of materials with minimal waste. Thank you! 💓
I’m going to build this in my backyard for my 11 year old son. We’re going to do some plants but we are mostly going to make it an outdoor aquarium house or fish room. Maybe some galvanized tubs with goldfish and water lilies too. Thanks for this. Really neat. -Ron
We love how well you planned ahead on this. In fact probably will not even look at any other plans, as that could be a waste of time. Thank you for this and all of the other fantastic videos that you have posted.
This is such a great size and design! After 13 years in limbo, I finally put up my aluminum kit greenhouse last month with the invaluable help of my brother, who was storing it for most of that time. This is absolute heaven, finally having a greenhouse. It is also 9' x 13' and an A-frame design which is just a wonderful size and shape for a small property- mine is just shy of a fifth of an acre. The extra foot of width really makes a difference compared to an 8' x 12' footprint. If another greenhouse ever happens I will absolutely be building from scratch with wood although I might glass the lower wall too, as I am in central Maryland and we just don't get the extended brutal winters the folks north of us do. Congratulations Ana on a new classic!
We seriously considered turning it into more of an indoor arboretum. Put a small round table with 4 chairs in the middle and have all manner of plants, flowers, bushes, etc. all over the place, hanging, crawling, sitting on shelves and the wall. Wouldn't that be a wonderful way to spend time with some friends.
Love this! Like you said, I’m sure a lot of people could figure out how to do this on their own, but I’m very new to building so I’m excited to try it with a bit of guidance to help me along! (Also saving money is always a plus😁)
This is a well thought out design. I love it. Lately, I've been watching people on RUclips build the other greenhouse that you designed. Both are attractive and functional plans. Thanks for posting them. Stay safe.
I've just, as of yesterday cut my frame for my greenhouse 15. June 2020. I'm going to use this video ideas to finish mine. Thought it was great. UK. ( 29th August 2020. ). I finished my 6 x 4 greenhouse. I used treated timber and 10mm twinwall. Great video, it helped a lot. ENGLAND. 👍
So, so, cool! It looks beautiful! I think even using steel would look pretty too. Thanks so much for sharing! I've been binge watching diy greenhouses for the last 2 weeks. New viewer and new subscriber!
Nice job, I’ve been watching greenhouse videos since I was given 10 - 5’x5’ windows a few months ago. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of optimizing material given that lumber and building materials have gone very pricey in the past year
Awesome. I'm a carpenter, we drew up some plans for our greenhouse that would have been fine but then I found this and bought your plans. My love is the green thumb (not me!) and she likes the fact that there is minimal waste. Me too! Looking forward to building it this weekend!
Sweet plan I love it just the way it is I had bought one with those polycarbonate & aluminum &the winter teared up so all I have left is the polycarbonate pieces which you now have a better green house to build so thank you for this video it's truly beautiful 🤗🤗
Same here... bought one of them, put it up, a few months' later, 60+ mph straight line winds (which the specs said that it could withstand), and it was gone. Collected all the polycarbonate panels in the neighborhood, and salvaged them, planning to build a sturdier frame for them, and STILL haven't done it, because of the experience.
I think this is actually cheaper than the cheap alunimum polycarbonate type greenhouse kits. By the time you re-enforce the alunimum ones, sink extra supports in the corners, add extra weather stripping and springie clips in the polycarbonate windows, you are into it at least as much as the basic price of goods for this one. And, you wont' have to continually by new blown away, broken, sun rotted, polycarbonate windows. And, it will stand up to big winds.
@@ronjones4069 Exactly. The heartache of watching your greenhouse that you put together from one of those cheap kits, as it blows away in 60 mph straight-line winds is enough to not make you want to try again... at least, any time soon after it happens. I know, from personal experience. Especially when that was one of the things I checked on, directly with the manufacturer, and they assured me, oh, it'll hold up fine! RIGHT!
Where to start... that little child helping out in the beginning was so cute. So nice to see kids learning real world skills. Your greenhouse is beautiful. One other nice thing, well, very nice thing, about having your plan is that you have marked out on it the work saving tips like the roof brace, tagging cross member and other piece locations while still on the ground, etc. I wish I could do something like this. But I can barely walk ten feet, can't get on the ground, no family or friends to help and really, no money to even just buy parts, let alone hire someone. But I can watch your videos and admire all your work on all your projects. Keep it up girl. I hope you go far in life with your skills. May God bless you and your family.
I would love a lean to style greenhouse that is similar to this. I appreciate the thought that was put in to minimize waste. I love efficiency! Do you have any plans like this?
We printed out the plans for this greenhouse. We bought the lumber and supplies, painted all wood before the build. We are in Alaska and cost was approx. $1700. for materials and door. Used screws instead of nails. Things went together pretty well for handy people who aren't carpenters. Problem we had was with the ridge cap pieces that were hard to bend. Maybe made for different angled roof. Love my greenhouse. Put shelves in because I don't like to bend over. Also, shelves make room for supplies beneath. This plan also makes it easy to have hanging baskets. Thank you for putting plans together!
Your commentary in conjunction with the assembly made this SO easy to understand. I’m currently cooking up a plan for a lean-to greenhouse and you really helped me visualize the construction. You’ve also got me thinking about how the dimensions of my structure affect the efficiency of labor and materials. Duh, that hadn’t crossed my mind yet. Thanks so much for taking to the time to produce a video and thanks for sharing your plans! 🙂
What a great plan. I no longer live where I would need such a wonderful greenhouse. It would need to be a Chilling Greenhouse here in Mexico. Gets too hot here for most things. Beautiful plan though. Thanks.
I love it. I want to build this for my workshop. So I would extend the siding all the way up. My lumber is outside and I have to haul my tools in and out everytime I want to build anything. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m starting on this next week.
Question, we live in SE Alaska on the water and can get up to 80 mph winds, besides some hurricanes brackets what else would you do to this for some reenforcement? My next project is a greenhouse and I was thinking of doing the other one you just put out but I love the look of this one.
I used the white corrugated plastic on the the roof of my green house and used the thickest gage plastic one uses for covering furniture or table tops so light won't be an issue. Here in Texas the sun is to hot for clear plastic so the white helps and still let's enough light in.
What’s most important here is that grampa is getting help, and a little guy has a memory to last a lifetime. Letting children assist is so important

What kind of 2x4s did you use?
That's a lovely greenhouse. One thing I'd suggest is an outswing door in order to save floor space for growing.
That's what I thought right away

Your video was, by far, one of the best I've reviewed. Audio/ video (including editing), descriptions, purpose, efficiencies, and script. Nailed it.
We love how well you planned ahead on this. In fact probably will not even look at any other plans, as that could be a waste of time. Thank you for this and all of the other fantastic videos that you have posted.
This is exactly what my husband and I are planning to build later this year, so your timing is perfect, once again! Thanks, Ana (and Jacob)!
I love your greenhouse ❤

For the type of greenhouse this is a very cute idea! Slightly smaller than a typical growing tent but a great roofed greenhouse plan!
Great looking little green house Ana! Thanks for sharing it with us!💖👍👌😎JP
LOVE this project! The cutest greenhouse that ever was!
I like the way this plan efficiently prevents waste. I would omit the triangle pieces and install solar powered fans, one on each end.
Beautiful 😍 The only thing I would add is two gutters on each side and two water butts to collect rain water.
Great idea!
For me it would made a wonderful place for morning coffee with a summer rain and lots of green plants. Another great project Ana.
Working in a greenhouse with soft rain falling on the roof is transcendent.

Thanks! Just bought the plans and cut list. I’m looking forward to giving it a try.
I'll have to check this out after we buy our new house. I don't want to build it at our old one and either have to break it down or leave it. So cute!
