I drive a 20 yr old truck. No payment. Low taxes. Low insurance. That's how you grow wealth.
Buying TSLA at $40 17 years ago before 7 splits is how you grow wealth. I basically didn't pay a penny for any of my Teslas back when I owned (ownership is so last century), and sure as sh•t didn't spend what you spend to run them in a quality of silence and power you will never experience. Each to their own. 🎬
The Lovely Bride and I own TWO trucks, an '05 Chevy Colorado LS, 5 cylinder, 4X4 (my "beater pickup) and a '14 RAM 1500, Quad Cab, 5.7L Hemi powered 4X4. The RAM is our primary vehicle and serves that purpose with ease and very good economy. Both are long paid for, and we have expendable income as a result!
@@cuda426hemi A close friend of the family "owns" a Tesla Y but he drives a 20yr old Honda Accord most of the time because his Y stays broken and in the maintenance area of the dealership more than it stays on the road. EV technology will have to go a long, long way before the majority of folks will be willing to part with their hard-earned money for one of any make or model. Considering how many EV makers have gone belly up or are about to, I suspect it will be at least twenty years before such vehicles become viable for use by the vast majority of driver/owners.
@@furmanmackey5479 Your friend is the exception. Model Y just to serve you some shut-up juice is the #1 selling vehicle in WORLD ICE or not so you literally are out of gas. Reliability???? You can't judge a vehicle's reliability on just 5000 miles. If it gives trouble in 5000 miles then it's a lemon. 75,000 miles is a good reliability mileage to be going on.
It is already having reliability issues tho, so.
More like 150,000 miles. If I have a major repair at 100,000 I would be shocked and angry. I have a 2023 silverado with 52,000 miles and I still consider it to be practically new.
@@44beebeexactly. If it’s having major issues before 100k, I don’t consider a vehicle reliable.
@@DampNoodlesWhat issues?
@Dampnoodles minor issues with trim pieces and the like are not "reliability issues". Tesla's will go hundreds of thousands of miles on the powertrain. I'm at 125k on my model 3 with no big problems.
i wanna see people use the bed like a normal truck - how is it loading/unloading hockey gear? golf bags? lumbar? drywall? mulch? USE THE TRUCK - I don't think i've seen any reviews testing the bed
No one uses the actual bed anymore. For most people pickup trucks only exist as a status symbol, they never actually use them. I hate it.
That's the neat part...you can't!
It’s great for dry wall and gear…everything adjusts automatically depending on the weight…the only thing I strongly dislike is not being able to easily reach over the side to grab things…that’s literally it
@@fuze3522 I have a pickup and have owned many since 1976. Yes, it's a truck and gets used like one as everyone else I know uses theirs. No, I'm not a contractor, etc, just a retired OF (ME) that uses his pickup as designed to be used
It’s got 2000 payload
I would argue 50% or more of the people who buy and drive a pickup truck never or extremely rarely tow, haul anything or use or have a need a 4x4 but yet they buy them like they are going out of production tomorrow. The Cyber truck may not be for you or me for that matter but people will buy and love it.
I agree. A lot of people seem to have more money to spend than sense, and don't actually need or use what they get.
Idk if i agree but im in that 50% that actually uses their truck to haul/tow
Was going to say the same. I tow and haul regularly with my old F-150 so this Cybertruck does not work for me. The majority of the houses around me have a truck and rarely do they haul or tie anything, for them, this would work. It is a crazy design but it is amazing how much innovation is in it. Hopefully that innovation pays off dividends in future products.
I agree. I towed 5 times when I had a truck 😂
@@jstar1000 To clarify, what I was getting at is that those who actually need or use their trucks and benefit from having one should get one. I'm mostly referring to the people that have 2 of 3 trucks sitting in their driveway and have never used any of them for more than commuting and getting groceries. I see that a lot of that and wonder why. I'd guess it's just an ego thing and having one just to have it. There are a lot of people like that. It's a free country and their money so they can do whatever they want, I don't see any sense in it is all I'm saying. I think everyone just follows the trend and the hype, and of course every business likes it when their customers buy something more expensive and they get to jack the cost up more.
'This is our first electric truck right?'
'No, remember the Hummer?'
Did they completely forget about the Lightening they took to Alaska...?
Hilarious. The Hummer turning into a brick is stuck in my mind.
It’s not for me but that said I saw one wrapped in black the other day and it looked sharp. Kinda like Bruce Wayne’s lambo. If we’re honest it’s a fine “truck” for the 90% of truck buyers out there needs. Just like a ford maverick is more than enough for 90% of truck buyers. The idea that we need 3/4 ton diesel trucks to haul our far butts to work and back blows my mind. 90% of the trucks I see on the road (which is a lot as I’m a truck driver) are a sole person inside and nothing in the bed save a cooler.
Here, here!
I was deciding between a Maverick & canyon. I went with the canyon as it's a savage v6 and NOT a turbo charged 4 banger. Anyone who says I need something else is just mad at life.
I drive a 2012 Ford F-150. It is my only vehicle. So yea, about 90% of the time it is just me in the truck. However, when I need to haul something, I've got the capability to do so. Also, the truck has a 36 gallon tank. So I have a 600 mile range on the highway between refuels. It's an excellent road-tripper and cargo hauler. There are even times when I can go 3 weeks without refueling when just doing local driving. Again, it is my only vehicle, with over 154,000 miles on it, and it is paid for. It does just about everything I ever need to do, when I need to do it without having to rent something else. I would consider a little EV for local driving if it was under $25k. No way would I ever spend over 30k on something with a limited range. Plus, I don't have the time to stand around and wait for an EV to charge when on a 400 plus mile trip.
I'm so tired of the 90% bullshit or the fact that you have a problem with people you don't know driving 3/4 ton trucks. The fact is you don't actually know how often they use their truck for "truck stuff", personally I don't care if it's 90% or 10% of the time. That doesn't change the fact that people buying a truck aren't going to buy the cybertruck for a variety of reasons listed and proven in this video.
@@JG-lo1vb We do actually know. Automakers study the market. 93% of half ton buyers will never tow further than 50 miles from home. The CT and other electrics are perfect for most truck buyers, assuming they can charge at home. Personally i tow a race trailer all over the region, so is stick with diesel for that, but my Tesla (car) is a fantastic daily. If i didn't race i'd have no need for ICE.
But a Maverick costs 1/3 the price, and doesn't have the shortcomings of the tesla...
That is great that the cybertruck has an emergency escape Lever, but it makes no sense why it is covered behind a black piece of plastic that you would not be able to see if you were locked up in that pitch black vault with no light.
That's what I'm saying and without pre knowledge, you wouldn't know where or what to look for.
I believe it glows in the dark or there's a light inside
@@ChrisKellyPrime Someone should climb inside with a camera and no light to show that ability.
That astonished me as well that it had no visible colors or markings. If you didn't already know it was there, you'd never escape.
It’s a piece of crap and these Cybertruck videos hurt TFL truck’s credibility. They give it credit for such mundane non-benefits.
Steer by wire: there’s nothing inherent about having steer by wire that limits a vehicle to 360 degrees and having dynamic steering ratios. That’s a design choice not to have positive stops at greater turn counts. The low speed small-input mode should be something that can be adjusted to kick in at a certain speed that is user selectable. That would actually make it beneficial and take the unpredictability out of it.
TFL seriously says this is the best off-roader electric truck. OK. But a nice differential does not a superb differential make. It’s ground clearance is nice but the wheelbase is very long, so it mitigates that specification’s usefulness. There is no shortage of videos of Cybertrucks being pulled out of pretty normal off-road situations. There is plenty of video of Rivians and F150 lightings not struggling with the similar conditions. Not to mention, you don’t verifiably destroy the other electric EV’s fit and finish the first time it gets wet, gets a finger print, or gets dirty. Tesla advises against parking the darn thing outside.
This “truck” is a joke. Let’s run down the list of undelivered bought features. A useless rear view mirror. Useless sun visors. No grab handle on the “best off-road EV truck”. Useless bed from side approach due to body panels. Horrible serviceability because normal Tesla things, plus the bed and can are incorporated into each other. Tonneau cover that destroys rearward visibility. Useless towing range.
It’s a novelty lifted sedan with horrid back seat headroom, a truck bed you can *sometimes* use without compromising safety, and (I’ll give it credit for one thing) impressive payload. So it’s basically like a lifted heavy EV station wagon that costs $100K.
🤮
The only comparison that you may want to correct is the tractor pull ... The tractor pull was done with the cyber beast vs the dual motor for which you have used
Yes, and put some real off-road tires like most of the vehicles that do the tractor pull have on them,
not all season tires.
I'm gobsmacked that it was actually done and not a lie. Well inaccurate but they meant well.
Mud tyres on this and redo the 33000 pds pull.
@@stewartciesla8142does the cyber truck have options for tires?
@@TheNinthGenerarion just an all season tire and a street tire.
@@stewartciesla8142 the more you learn about the CT, the more you learn why it’s not a truck.
I’m thinking regular car washing products should be out and barbecue grill and refrigerator anti fingerprint products should be in… or a wrap 😂
Car Wash Mode, please give them better credit.
For the ways I intend to use it, the cyber truck is the best truck for me. It performs like a sports truck, goes off road, rides comfortably for long trips and can crash through brush. I haul brush, some lumber, garbage etc that the bed will do just fine with.
What’s a ‘sports truck’? You are using words you don’t even understand. This truck has steer by wire, isolating yourself from the driving experience. It has air suspension, isolating you further from the drive experience. Electric steering, that isolates you further from the drive experience. This is as far away from being a sport anything. 😏
I’m into watersports, and having a lockable bed space to put my wet, expensive watersports gear would be great. Right now I use my minivan for that stuff. Ideally, a long range electric van would suit my needs better.
The bed in the CT isn’t water tight and it has electronics components underneath the bed.
It’s has a fast 0-60 time, rides good with or without a load, only does good when or if the computer updates do come; needs charged fully after 85 miles under a full load; has a practically useless bed, you can cut yourself on the fingerprint marked and stained non painted or finished stainless body; has no headroom in the back seat; and is run solely on a large computer screen. This has nothing we need and is nothing but a truck for the rich who really don’t need a truck except to haul groceries in. To add to the fact it’s designed for no efficiency (aerodynamics) by a third grader, this truck may sell to some but to the folks who actually use a truck for actual truck things; it’s useless
You can cut yourself? What are you, 5 years old? Do you ever use knives? Please stay away from those too…you would be better off living in a bubble
Some of your remarks are not true. No head room? I’m 6’1 and my head doesn’t hit. Most vehicles nowadays have a computer to run your car and electronics. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there.
90% of the people who own trucks don’t haul anything. As an engineer, I see a perfectly designed truss in the cyber truck, but you can’t see it can you? How do you think a F-150 size vehicle can carry a 2500 lbs payload? It can handle more, but they need longevity. Bridges use trusses. It’s way more aerodynamic than any raptor, dodge or ford. Rich? Have you priced an Escalade? $120k. Raptor$100k. At least it’s obtainable when it hits $80k for most people.
Don't buy one.

The only thing I miss about my Sierra is the multi-function tailgate. I swear most the people condemning cyber trucks dont have the slightest clue about them.
Nathan nailed it. It is a novelty. As a truck, it is useless.
Yes as useless as it is the most useful eletric truck you can buy right now.
The CT is the most useful and highest selling electric truck.
100%. Electic trucks aren't going make sense for anyone who needs a truck. For city guys show Don need a truck they'd be fine.
It's a "hey look at me" attention getting truck. At that it excels.
Yeah, Nathan is great at picking trucks. What was his last truck again? Hyundai lol. Come on guys
One of the big advantages of the Cybertruck is the exceptionnal size of the closeable/ lockable storage provided by the powered tonneau cover and the higher bedsides. This benefit would be greatly reduced if the bedsides were normal heights.
I'd like to see the short armed guy reach over the side of the bed of a full size pickup that would have to be lifted in order to compete off road with the cybertruck. And did he consider that he could lower the cybertruck in order to reach over the side.
Keep it for a winter and head north to the cold and test it for a while
Long ago when I worked in kitchens. We had a stainless steel spray cleaner. Back then. It worked perfectly. We bought it from Syco.

This has got to be the most honest and natural sounding video you guys have done in recent memory. A lot of your videos sound too much like a European car guy who has never set foot in a truck trying to review and drive a 1 ton Ford.
This video has none of the confused and artificial amazement as well. It reminds me of the TFL truck video that made me subscribe in the first place.

I think you nailed it when you called it a "vehicle". It's a truck in the way a Subaru Baja is a truck. This strikes me as an SUV with a small utility bed.
I have a cybertruck and a gmc sierra 1500. My cybertruck bed is 72” long and 48” wide. My GMC Sierra bed is 69” long and 50” wide.
A Subaru Baja bed is 42” long and 39.5” wide.
I find the 3 extra inches of length more usable then losing 2” of width. As far as a Subaru Baja, it’s not even remotely close to being comparable.
Just in case you were interested in accurate information 👍
Bed is bigger than most new trucks today.
Likely the big reason it didn't do well at the truck pull is because of the tires. I watched the truck pull video before this and noticed that the tires on the Cybertruck are essentially street truck tires, while the RAM from that video had more aggressive off-road oriented tires. If you had similar tires the Cybertruck might have matched the RAM or possibly beat it. The tires prevented it from putting the power down on the dirt properly.
Rivian has front charge port, so we don’t have to unhook our trailer to charge. Albeit, all EV trucks suffer from poor range while towing heavy loads (over 5K).
Lol, how often do you actually tow? All trucks suck with efficiency while towing
...IF you can or are allowed to have the entire combined length sticking out impeding traffic. They really need to have drive-thru charging at least in some places.
@@thehonesttruth8808not really, I tow trailers, they do reduce the MPG, however it not alot. It not even mentioning that it easily to refuel.

I own a cyber truck and it works great for me. I can haul large things from Costco which is the extent of my truck uses. I use it like an SUV. Bigger bed? Maybe on paper, but not in any actual usable metric as show here. Blows the doors off the Raptor...maybe on the street. What was the point of the Raptor R again? Oh yeah, going fast off-road in the desert. Guess what? Both of them are faster on the street than a Jeep Rubicon. Yet the Rubicon will go "faster" on a real trail than either of those (given that neither a CT or a Raptor will physically get to the sort of trail a Rubicon will). That’s not a good comparison AT ALL.
Battery power tools batteries can rest on a charger until needed and then used to loosen bolts, etc.. so they’re more convenient than setting up your electric cord or air line. THAT’S why they were accepted by those of us that work on things.

Edison Motors is working on a “Universal Kit” for older pickups and midsize trucks that will replace the ICE Drivetrain with Electric Axles, a modest battery, and an onboard range extending generator powered by a 2.8L R Cummins Turbodiesel along with the necessary inverters and other equipment.
These trucks will truly be the answer for those of us that actually need and use our trucks.
In the real world a pure BEV Pickup isn’t practical and is about as useless as tits on a boar hog.
Can’t reach in the back? Is your big reason it’s not a pick up? Try loading into a Super Duty? Bull

Cognitive dissonance much?
This just shows at minimum you need the extended range battery for towing.
One thing you forgot to include in "better than every other truck" would be low cost of operation, ownership, and maintenance (cheap charging at home on the daily, no oil or trans fluid changes or DEF or other ICE-associated upkeep). All the other EV trucks share this as well, but it's one category where all EV trucks are equally the best
Try comparing downhill Ike regen with cruise control on and off.
Yall need to add how long it takes to recharge them cause that is a huge factor into owning it, so not just the kwpm. You should start a new category how long it takes to recharge/refuel.
They have stated many times its 40min or more, in several videos at this point.
And also do the fueling cost comparison if you do home recharging for your daily driving. which is valid fuel cost comparison for most people who use their trucks for daily driving.
So yeah, the lack of towing (RV) is a deal killer for me. I have high hopes for the RAM Charger, and I think the cybertruck would make a great robo-taxi but I’m not gonna make payments on some maybe-someday feature. Great job on the reviews, other than the occasional fake drama I dig the actual facts you guys hit up. (Yep, that was aimed at Roman).
I'm pretty sure they were thinking in terms of a robotaxi.
Over 90% of vehicles on the road have a single passenger. Naturally if you want to build a robotaxi fleet you'll want 80% or so of your vehicles to be for one or two passengers to allow peak efficiency - but to do that you'll probably want 10% of vehicles able to haul an average family PLUS a good deal of cargo, including being able to handle Home Depot runs, while still being energy efficient for the majority of their runs that don't need that. You'll want it to be tough to deal with the fact that people don't treat stuff they rent the same way they treat stuff they own. Thus, Cybertruck.
That wrap actually made it look better
Kudos to Nathan for telling it like it is.
That's probably why we don't see him as often in the review videos anymore lol. Unfortunately these reviews have to be worded very carefully otherwise manufactures will stop sending test vehicles due to negative even if honest publicity.
Saw one in person yesterday, the body panels had so many waves in them. It really looked cheap in person.
I am posting this before seeing this video because I wanna share a quick story. We just had Beryl pass over us in Houston. I was getting something from a store and on my way home, I saw one of these hideous thingys stuck in less than 1.5 feet of water on the road. I thought the shystertruck was indestructable? As I passed him in my new X5 driving slowly, all I could do was pass by the dude and just shake my head in sadness why he was just sitting there wading in the water.
Now, back to my regularly scheduled youtube video.
Nice wrap!! You probably wouldn’t have gotten so many boos if you had that wrap on at the tractor pull 🤗✨😎

I thought from the first time I saw one of those trucks (the infamous "This glass won't break" day) that it reminded me of another vehicle I had seen somewhere before but I could not put my finger on it. Last night, while watching a WWII documentary, it dawned on me that a certain German halftrack and the Cybertruck look a lot alike. I know I'm going to get a bit of blow back on that opinion but well....Look it up.
I love the show because it shows me how much people are paying for over priced trucks and I think of my old truck that I drive and I love my old truck more every day because of the show
As a smart phone on wheels, it has some appeal. Unique design lasts for about a day. Then that charm wears off fast. Saying it is American made would be something to be proud of, IF it would rival the competition with quality build. Or luxury. Or reliability. Or usability. But it is just a toy. A very expensive toy.
... or value for money. Or practicality. Or safety.
Yeah, its more an embarassment that this is the most american made truvk 😅
If a dual motor was actually $40k before incentives and they offered 0% financing/leasing I'd consider one... still doesn't really fit for families though, waiting on a useful 3rd row vehicle otherwise might just have to convert my '87 suburban 😅. 8:33 Soooo... basically you've "long tested" every truck except a Honda Ridgeline. A vehicle that's been around twice as long as TFL has been around?
The Ridgeline is built on a car frame not a truck frame.
Not a truck
Pffft it’s a Hell of a lot more of a truck than the cyber truck
@@patbrown463 Question, does the CT have truck frame? NO! So it is not a truck😢
a few things, you forgot to mention that you needed to remove the aero dams from the wheel wells when you went off roading, but like your test with a truck aero dam, I would be curious how much efficiency you loose taking them off on the highway. you forgot to mention the downside to all wheel steering when towing a trailer, because you are correct it should disable itself in tow mode. you forgot to mention that the adjustable height hitch you have cant be used in the up position. for these and others you mentioned this thing is closer to an suv then a truck, especially with the roll cover closed.
13:10 it's not due to the battery, which is BELOW the bed. It's due to them wanting to design the wheel humps out of the bed. Which, in my mind, makes it far more useful.

Nathan is right on the money. As a truck, this thing just doesn't deliver. It is a novelty vehicle. It's like the Subaru Baja. That isn't to say it has no utility, but when put up against the yard stick of a pickup truck it just does not compete.
Maybe you should compare it to a box truck since you have to roll up the tonneau cover which is equivalent to a rollup door AND you have to hop in to have full access. 😂
This truck is good now, it only will get better with time as the engineers at Tesla always find ways to improve there vehicles.
I'll take a used pickup over that any day and save some $80-90,000!!!!
I don't need nor desire the attention nor do I need to virtue signal.
I'm hoping, but not very confident that Tesla will take all the feedback from customers to heart. If they continue to produce the Cybertruck as a lifestyle vehicle, I would love to see them produce a more conventional version for people to actually use as a truck. Please give them that feedback. Also, if I understand the Monroe teardown, there is extra room in the battery pack to increase the size of the installed battery without encroaching on the bed. That would be another great improvement in the vehicle.
Good to hear your review. I think Rivian got it right with the changes they made to the truck platform to make it more functional. Seemed like Tesla changed the platform just to be innovative or unique. Also, just traveled back from Southern California to northern cal, and stopped at Kettleman city for gas in my Tacoma; dozens and dozens of electric cars waiting in line to charge in 107° weather! We were in and out in less than 5 minutes, and I’m sure they were there for hours. I’ll pass on that for now.
Don't like the vehicle, but that's a badass wrap! Actually, I'd bet that's the EASIEST vehicle to wrap, all the surfaces are planes, no stretching the wrap over compound curves.
Their whole selling point isn’t doing truck things, it’s a look a symbol and it’s fast in a straight line…. It would do all of these things better as a car than a truck imo. That’s my opinion anyway because it sucks as a truck for what I want a truck for from my understanding.
100%
5000 miles is now the durability test lol
It is for a Tesla.
You can charge at home off peak for 90% cheaper than 35c/kwh. Why is this hard to grasp?
Because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
Because the whole point is when you're traveling you are not charging at home and off-peak. Given the approximately 80 mile range they had when towing a moderate load you'll be doing a whoooooole lot of remote charging if you want to you know...do truck things.

I think you got everything exactly right with the cybertruck it is not a truck I buy it's more novelty than anything else and that steering wheel sucks! I don't think any vehicle should have beeping noises in it. Makes me want to get something from the 60s and 70s and get it restored. I just personally hate electronics in vehicles. All a vehicle needs is a good stereo! PS this is the first time responding in comments and I've enjoyed all your videos very much all the best from Flin Flon Manitoba Canada.
Hard use my arse. Get back to us when you've hauled cord wood out of the forest, and hauled a load of gravel, lumber, dirt, ect. Then after that, load a camper on the back and go camping a few times including a couple long trips. I've done all these things and more with my truck. Can that cyber truck thing handle all these jobs? I doubt it. It's a fashion statement and nothing more.
EV stands for Excessive Vanity 😅😅😅
Well stated! 💯accurate
And an ugly fashion statement.
Let's make a definition. If you are worried about bugs and fingerprints on a truck - then you are not a truck guy. Get a girly car with bling and glitter instead.
If you like pick up trucks but you don't use them as one is one of the best trucks, but that's what it is. Best vehicle in general? not so much because it's big and heavy , that's why it's good AS a pick up truck without using it as a pick up truck in general, just like a car.
I worked on cybertruck when it started with the RC builds, the QC builds, the MC builds and Production builds. I was a service technician at the factory, and these things are not something I would not buy due to the issues of the half shafts falling off from too much torque and the spline design that is bad. The tonneau has two bolts left and right that need to be adjusted.
This truck is probably great for city dwellers and weekend warriors. It has plenty of torque to pull your boat to the local lake or river, or to tow a trailer to Home Depot to get what you need for weekend projects. And there is nothing wrong with that. You need to buy the truck that best suits your needs. If you don’t need more than 150 miles of range when towing, this truck is great for that. If you need to haul loads of 10,000 lbs and up for long distances, then you will need a gas or diesel engine truck, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone has to get the truck that does the job they need, and we don’t need the government stepping in to tell us what we are allowed to drive.
I totally agree and I’m a Tesla fanboy. But I wouldn’t want to hot shot in a Cybertruck. Weekend warrior and Home Depot runs exactly fit my use case. I do have one “reserved” and I’m excited.
Well said! Bro.
I just don’t get it!
All these Tesla haters out there. One of the most American car companies in America but yet all these people want them fail. I just don’t get it?

The only good thing going for this truck is the Panasonic (Japanese) batteries
Tesla makes those batteries
The batteries used in the Cybertruck are Tesla 4680 cells.
The cyber truck uses Tesla designed and made batteries. (4680)
I have seen multiple v4 superchargers in France
Keep the wrap, like you said, better then the unfinished look!
Imagine how popular it would be if they actually cared about the truck part. They focused so much on the gadgetry and the meme they missed a the main mission of a truck. Had they kept it mission specific it could’ve taken over the market. Because as a design, it’s exciting and actually stays on mission with the spartan shape and styling.
The Cybertruck would never have conquered the truck market with this styling, even if it had been a better built vehicle. Most people who buy trucks prefer the traditional design ques and not only that but trucks largely look the same because that's the design best suited to being useful as a "truck". But at the end of the day I am shocked that anyone expected a tech weenie like Elon Musk to grasp what makes a truck a "truck" to blue collar people. The Cybertrucks main purpose for existing is so Tesla fanboys have something they can parade around as pickup.
@@nathanmcdonald610 if it was functional, waterproof, truly environmentally bulletproof, etc. it would’ve taken over like side by sides took over the ATV market.
Some Tesla fanboy keeps posting in the comments that the Cybertruck is the best selling EV truck. Question is how would you know? Tesla won't tell you how many they sold. Their financial report last quarter has Model 3 and Y numbers combined and the other category was Other. Other means, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck and the total was 21,000. Only reason you would report like this, is if you are hiding something. No other auto manufacturer obfuscates what Models sold and how many.
You can go off of the number of the number of recalls.
They recently recalled all of them. Which was 11,688. Something about the wiper motor.
Ironically, you can find out how many they sell based on a recent recall.😂
@@HDHQDIRECT You can also tell my registrations for each state.
Honestly, who cares? Tesla puts in $2B into its bank account every quarter after all bills are paid. GM? Ford? Stellantis? All negative, ie - more debt than revenue. Also, Tesla with $29B cash but only $9.5B debt. GM has ~$25.5B cash but 121B debt. Ford $34.5B cash but $140B debt. And vw has $85B cash but $203.5B debt. I’d rather have basically zero debt than not enough money to cover my debts.
All I know is what I see with my own eyes. I probably see 10 Rivians for every Cybertruck, and that's being generous.
In my area most people who tow are usually just taking their boat to the lake. Typical half ton duty, and for most people a 20 mile journey max. In that situation the cyber truck is more than adequate. You could tow your boat to the lake and back home and never have to use a public charger. People who tow rvs and horses need gas or diesel trucks because they are going far. I’d be interested to see what how future interaations of this truck perform. Tesla is known for making their vehicles better from year to year while keeping the price about the same or lowering it.
It’s the Delorean of trucks. Nothing more, nothing less.
