I've not had chance to fly this other than this test. I'm looking forward to using this! What an absolute beast of a sub250g drone!

Thanks for the upload looks very good. well done.
Very nice.
Just ordered one of this.
4.4.2 worked perfectly, now 4.5 way more than that❤
Superb ... thaanks for sharing
Superb little flyer, what an excellent little quad.
I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with a Mini drone pilot that wants to get into FPV.
50 second, and 20 satellite ❤
A light plastic tarp or even the car carpets are good landing zones when is that soggy. Nice video!
Altitude before arm is "altitude above sea level" and after arm "above ground level.
Thanks dude. ☺️
I get all sorts of crazy altitudes displaying. No barometer, I think, so should that be turned off in betaflight?
Hi sir what is the exact settings. Correct setting is hard to find on RUclips
20ish second gps lock is great!
Is it because of bf 4.5 or hardware?
I have to connect my speedybee master 5 v2 to a power bank to warm up the gps before flying. Usually have to wait too long for a gps lock
That was a cold start too... a few miles from where I had sat lock in my garden. I'd say it was more like 25 seconds for the first lock, but after swapping the battery the hot start lock was virtually instantaneous. Very impressed. Not sure if it's improvements in betaflight, the hardware or both 🤔
what's the longest flight time and batteries you've tried with this while keeping it sub 250g?
Hi, I've only done the one flight so far. Weather's been rubbish. But I suspect the test flight I did would be near the best outcome.
So with a 660mah hv lipo, 249g I got 7 minutes easily of cruising around. So I'd say anywhere between 5 to 8 minutes depending on your flying style. Which is pretty impressive for a 660mah !
Already preordered it over a week ago, wondering when it will arrive 😅
Coming from a Babyhawk 2 too 😊 but i had an analog version which i upgraded myself to an o3 Version ^^
I think mine was about a week from pre order to delivery. Was surprised it turned up so quickly tbh!
I still have the baby hawk, that will stay as my kind of basher, close range messing around quad. The tern fills a space for sub250g longer range (although I dont fly long range anyway) drone that I can comfortably fly more places than I could fly something over 250g. I was hoping for some more flying today, but the wind here is awful! Lol
@@FPV-TV419 yea i like cinematic footage and flying over tall trees was just not safe enough for me in case something goes wrong, a failsaife in the worst case.
For shots like this i want to you the tern :)
My Babyhawk 2 still doesnt want to fly on 4.4.2, it just falls out of the sky at some point. Even armed on the ground it just stops and after 40sec you hear 2 beeps.
I have to fly 4.2.11 there which doesnt have the HD OSD and problem on low throttle stabillity….
Therefore i asked you on your last video if the tern can freestyle 😅
@@FPV-TV419 did you get a delivery code for tracking? I only got my invoice since :(
@DoktorSkill it's often problematic switching up versions on bf, unless there are any features u really want, ur best just sticking with the firmware it came with (unless ur a bf wizard lol)
Yes it can definitely freestyle, probably not as good as a dedicated squashed x freestyle quad, but it will do some good stuff!
@@DoktorSkill I had to ask them for a tracking number .. if you message them on fb and give your email address that u used for the order. They will supply you with tracking info. Are you in the UK?
Debating this vs the flywoo Explorer lr4. Why would you choose one vs the other? Great video thanks!
Hi, the geprc is just a better quality build. With newer parts as the flywoo is a little old now. I have a new video coming soon using the geprc tern with 3 blade 3.5 inch props. Which would be similar to doing that on the flywoo explorer , but I've had both and I would pick the gep rc over the flywoo for build and parts quality.
@FPV-TV419 got the tern lr40 all setup and have flown it for a out 6 battery's. Dude this thing flys so nice! I love it! Thanks for the advice to get this!
Geprc lr40 or Flywoo explorer? O3 what to choose please tell me
They both do the same thing, and both do it very well. But the geprc is a better finished product. Better built, and in my opinion it flies better than the flywoo. They are similarly priced, so I would personally pick the geprc
(I have owed the flywoo lr4 also)
Hi, I am looking at this quad in analoge version or the Explorer walksnail version. What are your thoughts? Also what version elrs came on it?
Hi, I love the quad! It flies as if it's heavier than it is. Feels very stable. Although obviously it was a fairly calm day in my test flight. I'm not sure what version of elrs came on it tbh, I just updated to the newest firmware so it matched my tx.
Explorer shakes a lot. Dont take it
@sten6537 I ended up getting the walksnail version of the explorer. Really.dont want another analogue quad
@@Euwanh85 How are you liking it? I'm considering the same quad with walksnail
@darrenph1 I cancelled my order. They told me they were sending it , then told me it was out of stock when I asked about tracking 1 week later. I did not appreciate being lied to. This is for the geprc
Oh the explorer walksnail I like. Very predictable and gps locks nicely as that us what I was mostly worried about
Hey pal did you buy direct from gep ? How about import tax ? Looks a great quad 👍
Hi mate. Yea bought direct from geprc. They are very good, if you message them asking if you'll be charged uk import taxes, they will sort you out 😉. The quad is great! Genuinely very well built. I think it would be even better with 3 bladed props, but that might be at the expense of some efficiency
I now got the message that i have to pay 41€ import tax (Europe, Germany).
I messaged them ok instagram asking if i have to pay that. As i understood from your Answer there is a possibility that they will help you 🧐😅
@DoktorSkill did u ask them before you made the order? If not... then they likely didn't mark the value down. So you'll have to pay the 41 euro charge, however that's also quite cheap. The tax on the full cost of the order would have likely been 3 times that. So I'd say you've just been unlucky... its always a risk importing, sometimes your lucky, and sometimes you get stung for the import tax/ vat. I ordered from iflight europe, for delivery to the UK, and I got hit with £118 import vat charge! That was a difficult one to swallow lol
Do i have to pay it and will get them money back? Or do they do that on their own?
If i have to pay i can pay now so the shipping can proceed 😅 i guess
@DoktorSkill unfortunately you will have to pay it, and you womt get the money back 😪.
It's always a risk buying from another country, even if the sender marks the value down, you can still get charged. But as I say, what you've been charged isn't bad. So you'll have to just take this one on the chin.
Customs will check parcels , but not always all of them. So it depends who the courier is and if its been checked. I've been lucky buying from China so far. But not from Europe.
Weird RTH head wobble is still present in BF4.5? Hmm
Yea... I didn't notice until I watched it back. Strange as it didn't do it the first time... I have slowed the horizontal speed from 7.5mps to 6mps and reduced the descent speed by 1mps. The baud rate is already max for the gps in the ports tab. I've yet to test after reducing the speeds
@@FPV-TV419Hey mate, are you able to test your GPS RTH after changes? It's happening for 3 of my quads but the 4th one is absolutely free of the RTH jitter. I have been trying to solve this problem for very long
If you can resolve this problem and make a video out of it, I can guarantee thousands of people will be benefitted by it.
Good testing though. I am almost convinced to get the Tern
@rcrahul3657 hey, I'll definitely see if it improves it as soon as the weather let's me 😪. Its been so windy here! I'm not convinced it will make much difference. And it was weird, as one time it came back pretty smooth, and the next it was jittery. 🤷
Good first flight. I have just ordered the analog version as I am new to fpv and did not want to spend a lot on the 03 yet but I do like my Avata. Just subscribed. I'm also from the UK.
