Best efficient 4 inch drone

- Today I broke my personal record with the Geprc Tern LR40 #fpvdrone and flew 12 km long range FPV.
The drone is simply super efficient and in combination with the Li Ion battery from Uruav Flight times of over 15 minutes are no problem.
I already tried to complete the same flight with my 6 inch #iflight #nazgul #drone but unfortunately I had to abort the flight because a strong crosswind would have made the return flight unpredictable. On the current flight I had a constant headwind and was therefore able to better estimate the return flight and the consumption on the return flight. In the end I only have a third of the battery capacity consumed.
URUAV VTC6 18650 4S 14,8V 3000mAh are definitely a good alternative to well-known brands like #iflight or #geprc. Thanks to the O3 unit from #dji there is no need to mount a separate camera on the #fpvdrone, which also saves space and weight.
So long #cinematicfpv flights are no problem at all.
As always, have fun watching, see you then 🫡.
That was so cool !!! nice flight
Nice! You can probably get a little more range on those long flights if you keep a low altitude into the headwind and then fly higher with the tailwind. On a normal day, the wind slows down with the ground, so it should be stronger up high.
Very peaceful fly! you got some serious range out of that.
Thank you. I fly with the normal O3 antenna.
💯👍👍
Krasser Pilot 🤩🙌🏻
I build my own 4” lr looks like this model and flywoo, really happy with what i got, 12,6km(total) in idle condition, battery (lion 4s 18650) land at 3.2.
My only venture into LR quads is a Diatone Roma 4 that has never worked, and if it did get a lock,it took 10-15 minutes with a fan blowing on it to keep the vtx from overheating. I removed the gps and just received on of these and can not wait to see if it works!
That sounds adventurous 🫣. With a new M10 GPS it's much faster 👍. Best regards
Is the drone controlled using DJI? Not ERLS, not Crossfire?
No, I use ELRS for the term LR40.
@@BigKahunaFPV and what frequency? 2.4 or 900?
@@BigKahunaFPV And was the control antenna on the drone somehow modified, or is it stock?
@@PC-Plus This is the standard antenna
@@PC-Plus 2.4
Nice flight. What GPS module you used in this flight?
M10 by Geprc standard
Thats great range for a 4". A question, why dont you have any dbm, LQ or RSSI on OSD? Do you set warnings in the radio instead?
I only have warnings on because otherwise the data would just distract me. Of course I also have audio warnings active on the radio.
@@BigKahunaFPV says the guy who flies half of the whole flight with a huge blinking "battery low" warning because of the wrong voltage setting for li-ion? ;-) great video, thanks!
@@domwilliams2839 Absolutely, I have changed that now. However, I don't just fly Li Ion batteries, but also LiPos and the warning is important to me. Thank you and best regards
@@BigKahunaFPV all good 😜 just because... super stoked that you upload your stuff!
@@domwilliams2839 Thank you 🤝. I'll do my best 😅
i can see vibrations in the footage, is it from the motors
A mixture of a battery cable that is too long and gyroflow. In addition, the DJI O3 camera is supported too hard because my silicone suspension has not yet been delivered.
Hey nice one! Do you have a stock antenna?
@@dr3553d2ki77 Yes, this is the standard 03 unit antenna. I'm absolutely thrilled with the range. Even long range flights are absolutely no problem.
