@@JJS432 I have the 2021 A-Spec and was looking into the Type S since I had a 2007 Type S. My car is already fairly low where I have to drive at an angle to get out of my driveway. The dealer said the suspension is going to get slight upgrades and tuned for track use. 20” wheels will fix the gap in the wheel arch. And the bigger brakes will help it stop and not fade as much around the track. I was told the Type S was going to be another 10k over what I got for my car so I figured I’d get the A-Spec and see what happens.

The interior is still outdated. It doesn't hold up at all against true luxury cars (audi, bmw, merc). It looks like a luxury car from 2012 on the inside. Also, it's really slow at the 46k price.
For anyone who really values a strong audio system, I have to say, I resonate with your views on the ELS 3D Studio stuff. I had a 2020 Loaner RD-X for a short week and it really is shocking how ear-popping that system is. Especially the roof speakers.
Based on how so many other reviewers agree with you, I can only find one reason to call it shocking. There are still some keyboard warriors that would take a Mark Levinson or Bose over ELS just because the ELS brand is less prestigious.
You make it sound like these branded audio systems are made by that specific brand. In many cases, that is not the case. The Fender audio in VWs? Made by Panasonic. It's printed right on the magnet of the woofers. Not saying it's all, but a good many are just badge engineering examples.
I'm huge Acura/ Honda fan I'm glad Acura is back on track back in 90's when they were making innovation and technology now they're bringing same excitement back 😎👍
I'm driving 2011 MDX already a year and I can say I love it! This is my first Acura. Actually I didn't even know there is such a brand in the market before I got it. Even back then they made ELS sound system perfect! It has 11 speakers and it sounds just amazing. I can only imagine how it gonna sound in 2021 model. Much respect u Acura. It is deffinitely my brand!

The stereo reviews seem to be consistent across the board. If it sounds this good through my headphones from a RUclips video, then it must be pretty impressive in person.
I think it's hilarious how everyone is shitting on the new TLX! Everyone is crying about how it's not "fast enough." They miss the bigger picture. This vehicle is all about BALANCE!! It's a well balanced package for the price! It's not a drag car, it's not a Bentley, it's not a $100k car. It's for people who love sophistication and style, along with ENOUGH performance to get the job done. It's an amazing edition to the sedan lineup!
Well put! Everybody's talking about speed this and that and what are you going to be drag racing on the freeway. I think it goes along with people's mentality of being king of the road these days and everybody's in a rush and thinking I got the baddest ass car and you're not going to beat me. Just wait until the car is a real appliance (electric) and control every move that you make with sensors that won't let you go faster or make that lane change aggressively. It's all going to come to an end at some point. It's more about what you feel good driving It's not just about the power it's also about the fit and finish and the solid feel of the vehicle. Acura had always been known for this.

I purchased this exact model and color on 10/1 and I have the same sentiments as you. Coming from a 2017 V-6 TLX SH-AWD, I find it a little slow off the line. I miss the G-force of the V-6 off the line but it's a great overall vehicle. The biggest asset to this trim level is the Sound System! It does not disappoint AT ALL!
My wife and i just bought a a white aspec awd this past weekend. The sound system is the greatest system I’ve ever heard in my life lol and we’ve test drove all kinds of cars all with the premium sound like Lexus, Audi, fords, toyota, Hyundai, genesis and so on. Legit the greatest sound I’ve ever heard by far. Up the bass by 3 clicks and the treble by 2 and you feel like you’re in a damn studio doing some professional recording! If you’re gonna test drive one of these you need to hear the ELS system lol
Awesome review man! That half second lag when putting your foot down is probably the drive by wire if I had to guess. What a car, this is probably the most impressive Acura to come out in the last 20 years. They are definitely going in a good direction with this car. With all the CVTs and direct injection in Honda's I'm starting to think Acura is a better choice all together. I'd never spend the money on one of these new though I'd wait a couple years!

Props to Acura for this car. It’s a good effort. I just wish they launched it with some proper tires. At this point it’s ridiculous to ask for a manual, but if they put in a good manual it would have really made this car stand out. Too bad the Accord doesn’t have one anymore :/

I finally got to drive a 2022 Acura TLX A-Spec at my work for a few hours. The sound system is by far the best out of any vehicle. So clear it’s almost unbelievable. Seats are comfortable for long drives, and the headlights are awesome at night. What I noticed is, there was quite a bit of road noise at speeds above 60 mph and it felt slow. I was kinda disappointed, I much prefer how the Audi A4 and Alfa Gulia drive. - I’m aware this Acura will more then likely be trouble free for many many years.
I love the interior, I think the cockpit layout and color choices on the interior are fantastic. The body styling doesn't excite me though. I want an A-Spec to look like an A-Spec on the exterior as well as the interior. For similar money the Alpha Guila- Sport AWD looks more aggressive and capable.
Good review. Is the "sport" button on the shifter console independent of the rotary driving mode dial? Meaning when rotary dial is put to the sport mode isn't the transmission also put in sport mode automatically?
Give an optional digital gauge cluster with lots of functionality like the Germans have and this car is probably the go to for a lot of people cause it’s beautiful, pretty fast, awd, and comfy with good audio

ACURA is pretty well known for transmission issue several years down the road. I used to drive 07 RDX Turbo and indeed is a great fast fun car - Acura always wanted to give you that luxury feeling when you're inside the cabin. And boy..... did this review mentioned of their crazy awesome stock audio system ? Now i drove 2011 Accord Coupe and still love it. Definitely would want to get my hands on faster AWD sedan for my next car

black 20 inch wheels with 245/35 tyres front and rear, the car 1.5 inch lower and a stage 1 engine tune = perfect.

I used to drive 07 RDX Turbo and indeed is a great fast fun car - Acura always wanted to give you that luxury feeling when you're inside the cabin.
And boy..... did this review mentioned of their crazy awesome stock audio system ?
Now i drove 2011 Accord Coupe and still love it. Definitely would want to get my hands on faster AWD sedan for my next car

@@shokoku10 Drive them both back to back, see if you can get an extended test drive too. Really that is the best way, you might find things about each that you love/hate that you never would have considered otherwise.
