Dude’s been singing for on average of I’d guess 3 hours a day for almost 50 years. Unlike drums or guitars, your vocal chords are a finite resource that won’t improve over time. I’m sure if you did something physical for 50 years you’d probably be a “shadow” of yourself too. Ask any tiler, mason, construction worker, etc.

Bono is shadow of himself here. Look up ultra violet at Washington or Dublin Zoo Tv shows and see the man at his absolute best.
He's older and so does not have the vocal chops he once did, but this is still a very good rendition.
