Sometimes, when I find a really cheap item on Amazon or eBay, I try to look for a review on RUclips but instead I am greeted with 240p camera footage and a dreadful mic. Today, I looked for the smartwatch and I came across this guy! Honestly, really good video! And now, you have another subscriber!
i just bought one of these fitness trackers .. and i must say it is very good for the price and functionality mine came with two straps ( black and mid blue ) paid around £27 for it on amazon uk . I highly recommend it to someone that just starting out on fitness or there first buy on these kind of trackers . great informative video .

Hello Stu, let me first say thank you for the video. I bought the ID115 PLUS this summer and have been beyond frustrated with learning how to use all of its capabilities. It has only been this week that I found these videos, I was looking on RUclips by the product name and accidentally came upon using the identification number. Then as I looked at the videos, most were only at the introductory stage and I can say that I am pass that. I downloaded the app and could scroll through the items. But as I studied the videos and the booklet, I realized that there was so much more that the tracker could do. Still frustrated but refusing to give up, I kept looking at the videos and came across yours today and it was a breath of fresh air. Your explanation was clear and fairly simple. You did not scream into the camera with a lot of unnecessary arm movement and verbal blustering. All this being said, I am still having trouble understanding how to take advantage of all the wonderful options on the tracker but that is no fault of yours. I just turned 60 last month and I fight to keep abreast of technology and it is almost impossible. I have four degrees and am computer literate but I find that the instruction of the tech items like the trackers to be severely limited and not very clear. So, I am sending this thank you and to ask do you know of any communities for this product that I may join so that there may a community who can hold my hand and walk this old girl through getting a smooth handle on my ID115 Plus tracker. I've debated returning it and getting a Fitbit, but it seems to have so much more capabilities and the price fits my retirement finances so much better. Hope to hear from you as I would really like to get started on using the tracker before the new year. Thank you again and have a great holiday and I look forward to hearing from you. Sorry about the length, but I wanted to explain my dilemma as clearly as I could.
Hi Wanda, thanks for the message- I can understand your frustration with the ever changing world of tech... even I find it difficult to keep up sometimes! As far as I am aware, there isn’t much in the way of community or support for this particular tracker, as it’s one of the ‘brandless’ styles, which seem be manufactured/supplied by many different companies. It may well be more suitable to change to something like a Fitbit based on the extended support that they give to their customers. Another potential contender I might recommend would be the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, which for price is similar to the ID115 but potentially has better support and a bigger community of users. Sorry I couldn’t help further but I hope what I’ve said has helped in someway. Best, Stuart
Happy new year Stu and thank you for responding. You and I were thinking the same way. I sent the two trackers back to Amazon and used the refund to invest in the Fitbit Ionic. I can't wait for it to arrive. I did a lot of research of other trackers and the Fitbit seemed the best for me. I'm older and although I'm computer literate, I don't have the skills of the younger people. What sold me about the Fitbit is that not only does it have a relatively easy method of tracking, but I can call for assistance and there is a great community to join for questions, ideas and sharing and I love that. I know that the Fitbit Ionic is expensive, but I waited for the new year's sale, my Amazon refund, a gift card and other coupons fron the store to make it work. So, I did not make this decision lightly. I see below that Sandie Reader had better luck than I did. I went through Amazon but still could not get any info on the supplier. I'm glad that it worked for her. Again, I thank you Stu and Sandie for your assistance.
I tried to get through nearly 10 reviews of this tracker and I couldn't get a straight answer to my questions. After 10 minutes, you convinced me to pick it up. Thank you for making a great review!
So, I was about to send this back to Amazon - mostly because the written instructions seem so obtuse. But, Stu, based on you, I’ll give it a try. In a couple of weeks, I’ll let you know how I’m doing.
This is a really good video guide. I wish I had seen this months ago when I first got my tracker. Have been using the tracker for basic information, but Stu has shown how to get much more out of the tracker.
I received my tracker 4 days ago and could not figure it out. The book it came with, was tiny and I could not read it. Your video was so informative. I had my tracker set up quickly after that. Thank you for taking the time to do this
I see you have no reply. That's not too good. I have seen the 107 and think there are so excited better features in the app the the 115. If the 115 had the same features I think it would make it better.
i got one . its good. comfortable to wear ...now i want to buy the diferrent colour bands for it. actually i didnt know it could do all this stuff but whilst he was talking i was looking at the stuff...really cool watch. and only for 25 quid on amazon
Be sure to understand, before purchasing that ID115HR based products generally do not work for heart rate. They only appear to do so on the surface. Take for example, the app VeryFitPro, it has "Cycling Activity" as a choice and export to Apple Health as a choice. However, when you see the exported data in Apple Health, there will be no cycling activity, activity metrics will be blank. Similarly the app has a choice for "Export to Strava", but the activity, once in Strava will not have any heart rate activity. This watch has an HR function in that it will display an often inaccurate number that is supposedly your heart rate on the watch itself. Some daily HR metrics will make their way to Apple Health. The watch apparently takes only a few readings of your HR, from those that examined the underlying sql db. So HR data only makes it out in the form of generalized daily metrics, where maybe it'll seem reasonable. But be advised what seems reasonable may have little to do with your actual HR. Just now I took the watch off, and it said my heart rate was 98. It was measuring my desk. The product simulates being a HR device, but in reality, it isn't worth the price, even if free. Don't waste your time.
Fab review, thank you. It helped decide which fitness tracker to use. I have a question. On your video at roughly 7:10 you show a map of your hiking. I enabled GPS but I don't get a map as you did when I am hiking. Did you do something special to get it?
Hi Stu again! A few days ago VeryFitPro added the "User Agreement and the "Private Policy" under Warm Tips. It state that you have to agree to start using the product. Mine have been set up about a month now and since the Warm Tips have been added I can get my app to move past agreements. The app won't scroll down to hit agree. I want to make some changes in my activities and sleep. Help!
For the alarms to work, does the watch have to be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth all the time? If I'm out running without my phone, will it still notify me of alarms I previously set?
Just got this device today and everything works except that notification icon on this device itself. Is there something I'm missing. I believe I have set it on the mobile phone itself so puzzled why it doesn't show the icon on the watch tracker. P.S I really love your review here. You have gained another new subscriber. Thank you.
Hey Stu - hope you're doing well. Thank you for your Tracker video. I just snagged one at the Goodwill, still in the box, for $2. Looks like a lot to learn (at least for me) I see that I can use the charger from my phone to charge. About how long does it take to charge??? Thank you for your information on everything! ♥️
I bought the watch 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic at first. However, after the first charge which lasted till Monday, I have had to charge it everyday since then. What could be wrong?
"Smart Bracelet" MFG or Model not on box, nor instructions. From an App can I find out what it is? Looks like either the ID 115 sounded like you said Tesla, checked the other video's similar but really can't tell. Tried to search by MAC ID BA 03 AQ 58 54 FA but that didn't work either. Blue and White box "Smart Bracelet and looks like the one in your March 21/2019 video. Can you tell me what I have? It showed up in the mail. Put WD40 on the band and after 15 minutes finally able to pry the band off to charge.
Can this be that the same watch is branded differently? I do have a different brand but in the app it shows ID115 as well when connected - looks the same to me
thanks for the review. Have a couple of questions I hope you can help with please. 1. My step counter and distance seem to be out on the tracker. I walked 7.8kms according to my phone map but only 6.7km on the tracker. Is there an option to adjust stride lengths that you know of? 2) I did a walk with the phone connected to the tracker but I get no map on the app. Do I need to connect to my Samsung health app or something? can't find gps settings on the app. 3) is it possible to look at individual days data on the app. It seems to only show weeks or months and whilst it shows the steps on the day, I want to drill down to the activities I did if possible. Any ideas? Many thanks
Can i ask, if You have any solotion to stop drains the mobil batteries so quickly, or can i use a different APP ?does the App need to be on every time or I can force stop it ?
Do you have to have the app in order for it to track everything? I'd like to get my father one but he's very old school and refuses to get a cell phone.
I can’t seem to figure out how to get the DND function and Camera function on the screen, available to me all the time. For the camera, I need to tap the camera function on the app first, and I don’t see how to activate and deactivate DND from the watch. :(
I have seen many ID115 watches under different brand names . Are all this same in function and quality ? Also is there a different between ID115 HR and ID 115 HR plus ?
+Franklyn Manuel hi Franklyn good question! Essentially these cheaper bands are ‘brandless’, which means companies can buy them and develop their own straps/packaging... sometimes even their own apps (however most use the stock app). Ultimately they are all the same thing 👍 Hope this helps? Don’t forget to like and subscribe 😬👍!
+Franklyn Manuel I don’t think so... but I’m not 100% sure on that one! I didn’t think there were two models of the id115- so I’d bank on the fact that they are the same!
Hey I went to go buy a Fitbit , the charge 2, today but the Walmart guy said these are better for the money. My heart rate only works when I do it manually, even though I set it up to do it automatically, and the app changed and there is no more GPS or any changing of the face to the watch. Any clue how I fix any of this?? Or should I take it back and buy a Fitbit?
so... I've been comparing my id107 plus with my old garmin and ironman HR devices and the HR seems WAY OFF when exercising. What has your experience been with the HR sensors?
Generally speaking most have been pretty close! Ive done a few reviews where I’ve tested them against each other and theyve only ever been a couple of beats out! Some devices will naturally be more accurate than others, and with that said - most fitness trackers come with a warning saying something like ‘the heart rate may vary from use to use, and shouldn’t be taken as a medical measurement, if any readings concern you, see a doctor’! This one seemed pretty close to the mark to be fair!
I have this but the brand was called Aneken It works well but only stayed connected to my phone's Bluetooth for a day and then refuses to connect again. I've tried restarting my phone, unbinding and rebinding. But nothing will work. I'm beyond frustrated.
I have just bought the JoyGeek branded which styluses VeryfitPro and I can't turn off the notifications on the watch as it's just not there. I have to go into the app to do that which is a pain.
Great Review!!! I bought the ID 115 Plus HR before I saw your review. I was very cautious about buying that brand. The only reason why I bought it from Amazon is because I had a Birthday gift card and Amazon was running a sale on the device (half off). Now that I saw your video, I am glad I bought the fitness tracker. Thanks, Stu!
@@StusReviewsUK Stu, with all due respect, did you compare the device to an accurate HR meter? How about this, count your steps as you walk and compare the result to what the band says were your steps, did it in any way measure accurately? The price is about right for a trinket that doesn't accurately measure hr or steps, I suppose. But anyone that wants the product to work, is going to be disappointed.
I just looked at the App reviews. It had an update at the end of 2017 and many people cant connect any more. Any info on this? I am considering buying one but if the app doesnt work, then there is no point.
Hey Sandie, that’s strange! You’ve synced it to your phone right? It should always display the time/date on your phone... check the settings on both phone and app and make sure date/time is set right (daylight saving time etc)...
There’s 3 versions of the app... try downloading another version and see if it’s in that one! Just type ‘veryfit’ into the App Store and it should come up with the three! Hope that helps.
Excellent review! I especially appreciate comparisons to other trackers. I have never used one of these, and I'm thinking of trying it. One question though (and this applies to a lot of these trackers), if it tracks movement, location, and heart rate continuously, why do you have to activate "training mode"? What does that mode do differently? I ask because my cardio activities are elliptical & tennis, which are not usually options on these things. Thank you.
Usually training mode continuously monitors your heart rate, whereas normal tracking mode will read your heart rate at times intervals (ie every few minutes). Also, with training mode you can save your workouts, and compare your progression and improvements on things like time/calories burnt/distance etc over time. Hope that helps!
I've been trying to charge mine all day in my laptop and it doesn't seem to be charging. There is no indication that it's charging. The battery icon is still showing very low. I've had this device for a week. Don't want to have to return it. I loved that my garmin never needed charging and I had it for two plus years!
Have you tried charging it through a USB wall plug? If that doesn’t work, it would be worth getting it exchanged through amazon. Hope this helps? Dont forget to like and subscribe! 🌞👍
this is hands down the best review on the ID115 I seen so far on youtube..it addressed all the concerns I had...GPS tracking and HR graph...I had to search for hours before stumbling on this.(+1 subscriber) stu, I think you should change the title say add 'very fit pro' to it yt algo can recommend it to viewers...as that was what I used to search before stumbling on this.... I got one question tho, can the GPS tracks and the Heart rate data be downloaded? I will be grateful if you responded...
Hi again. I have started using the training mode but am having trouble with gps. Does it need pairing with an app, like runkeeper? It doesn't automatically show the route when I take my IPhone with me. I did try pairing but it didn't recognise the tracker.

Stu’s Reviews thank you for the reply.also is there a difference between HR and HR plus model
I have this but the brand was called Aneken
It works well but only stayed connected to my phone's Bluetooth for a day and then refuses to connect again.
How do you reset the step counter back to 0?
Great Review!!! I bought the ID 115 Plus HR before I saw your review. I was very cautious about buying that brand. The only reason why I bought it from Amazon is because I had a Birthday gift card and Amazon was running a sale on the device (half off). Now that I saw your video, I am glad I bought the fitness tracker. Thanks, Stu!
Not bad for the price right! Im super impressed by the quality of some of these cheaper fitness trackers! Glad you're getting along with it! 👍
How about the precision of the HR monitor and steps monitor? Any chance to make a comparison with some other wrist bands or smartwatches?
Can you use it for swimming?
@@StusReviewsUK Stu, with all due respect, did you compare the device to an accurate HR meter? How about this, count your steps as you walk and compare the result to what the band says were your steps, did it in any way measure accurately? The price is about right for a trinket that doesn't accurately measure hr or steps, I suppose. But anyone that wants the product to work, is going to be disappointed.
MINE HAS ARRIVED TODAY, BUT IT DOES NOT RECHARGE. WHAT TO DO?
I have this Smartwatch. A Question: Is this Smartwatch Water Proof?
Lukas Auer yes
Does it do blood pressure as they advertise it as also reading blood pressure
Awesome review, big THANK YOU!
No problem! 🌞👌 thanks for sticking around!
Waterproof completely?
Does it have sleep tracking on the watch or just on the app plz reply I might get it
I just looked at the App reviews. It had an update at the end of 2017 and many people cant connect any more.
Any info on this? I am considering buying one but if the app doesnt work, then there is no point.
Any idea how to make the screen brighter
@Stu'sReviews Does the map feature only work if you take your phone or tablet with you?
Can you tell me what workout is for?
Stu, my tracker is one hour out. Also Date shows Fri 01 but it is actually Fri 29. Any idea how can I change please?
Hey Sandie, that’s strange! You’ve synced it to your phone right? It should always display the time/date on your phone... check the settings on both phone and app and make sure date/time is set right (daylight saving time etc)...
Sync it to your phone app, this updates the dates.
Download the app. Make sure it's connected to blue tooth too. That's what syncs it and changes the time. I had the same issue too.
Do you know the difference between ID115plushr and just the ID115U hr?
I just got mine and it won't turn on, do i have to charge it for solid 2 hours? How to turn it on?
Hi. Do you have to have this constantly paired with the fone? Or will it automatically update when you pair it ( say once a day)
It’ll pair/update when you go into the app 👍
I see that your app shows a music control. Mine doesn't. Am I overlooking something?? iOS version. BTW nice review thanks for that.
There’s 3 versions of the app... try downloading another version and see if it’s in that one! Just type ‘veryfit’ into the App Store and it should come up with the three! Hope that helps.
how can one change the time on unit, doesn't appear to synchronize with actual time zone in which livedespite having scynched with the App
I just got this from Amazon Prime. The instructions are bad and I cant get this thing to work. I think I will return it.
Is this can control smartphone music ? Like pause ,play, next song ?
this is hands down the best review on the ID115 I seen so far on youtube..it addressed all the concerns I had...GPS tracking and HR graph...I had to search for hours before stumbling on this.(+1 subscriber)
stu, I think you should change the title say add 'very fit pro' to it yt algo can recommend it to viewers...as that was what I used to search before stumbling on this....
I got one question tho, can the GPS tracks and the Heart rate data be downloaded? I will be grateful if you responded...
buying this as a present for my mom - thanks a lot for a very informative review, thumbs up :)
Thanks Stu, that was a great review.
No problem Tracey, glad you found it helpful!
Different mic Stu. Sounds a bit weird.
Nice tracker watch.
Would have to be fully waterproof for me. I’m a lifeguard.
Like the badminton function.
Haha! Yes Simon… this is 4 years old this video!!
@@StusReviewsUK Oops sorry Stu! 😂
👓 on.
I blame RUclips algorithms.
Ridiculous really! I mean my content and angles have changed so much since then as well! I tend to be more balanced in opinion these days.
how do i turn off this device i try holding on to the bottom button and it do no turn off pls help?
Hi again. I have started using the training mode but am having trouble with gps. Does it need pairing with an app, like runkeeper? It doesn't automatically show the route when I take my IPhone with me. I did try pairing but it didn't recognise the tracker.
Does it has a feature of sedentary notification?
