This is a tool assisted run (or TAS for short), basically a program that runs very precise inputs to achieve perfect execution, that usually are beyond human skills. Not RT play.
@@bxyhxyh There's actually some segments in SoR1 that runs in 60 FPS. It just appears the game goes at half speed once the gameplay starts (See 9:35 and look at the background)

probably RNG, also for the SWAG/entertainment? Was also thinking perhaps to reduce the time spend on the end of stage bonus tallying (although second glance, it looks like this gets skipped). The tallying reduction---I'm guessing this is also why there was all the intentional suicides in round 7?
Enemies don't appear immediately and there's also a wait after each wave before GO appears, gotta fill in with something. Except all the deaths in round 7, that's to reduce the bonus at the end since the last round's score tally is unskippable but you still need to enter your name afterwards.
For entertainment purposes mostly. Most of the RNG manipulation is done via the twitchy movements when enemies are offscreen or when either character walks away from enemies, because the AI has a habit of being tentative when being aggressively approached, but charges at you when your back is turned.
It’s a glitch that causes a character to go out of bounds, so the game tries to put them back in bounds but it sends them all the way to the end of the stage and triggers the stage completion
Just like in real life, 2 people that have been together forever, go out for the night, and end up making a scene.
Hate it when that happens. I go for a night out, one thing leads to another and then before I know it I brought down a crime lord.
This is more Mr and Mrs Smith action than we got with Brad n Angelina.
19:29 this is one of the most weird skips of all games
yeah what the hell like

What a beautiful love story 😅
Oh my god the back kick as Axel approaches blaze at 6:50 got me giggling

This is how my sister and I would play this game, except we'd Game Over by Stage 3 from actually killing each other.
This OST is still banging though.
bruh, Blaze and Axel are punching through the 6th dimension what the fuck
the music sounds so good today
yuzo koshiro really did his best
Axel: **Exist**

Stage 7 is pretty fun, with Axel and Blaze hating each other
I am a professional in this game, but I have never seen such professionalism in my entire life

I have this on my Playstation. The first time coming back to it since my teenage years; I was like "holy crap this is harder than I remember it being"
you dont have this on your playstation. at least not ps1. Sega was Sony's rival in ps1 era and they would NOT make their games to be available on ps1.
@@praystation I have it on PS4 in the "Sega Genesis Classics Collection"
It still should be available for sale
this final was unexpected
Axel: We got to stop Mr. X!
Blaze: Yeah! If we don’t stop him, we’ll be “X’d” out!
Booo! Lol
8:03 Wait, WHAT, you can PARRY knives? I literally JUST found that out, OMG, ALL this time this game has been released, and I JUST found that out!
This game is over 15 years old 20 years old and I still like the music
This game over 30 years old, It's from 1991
Finally i get to see one of my favorites in 30 fps
SoR1 actually runs in 30 FPS.
Is that better? 🙄
But why did they make this video 60fps?
They just repeated the frames.

It must be a Stage Clear glitch, Axel just let enemies hit him to death and Blaze stayed freeze in an attack position

I hope Genesis Plus GX Wide will be able to support TAS files at some point. Would give a whole another reason to reupload old runs like this.
