Be honest everybody... you only beat the Blaze clones on your first playthrough because of police specials, and when you met them again at the end of the corridor in Stage 8 they completely cabbaged you.
Also today...
I remember my first playthrough of stage 8 the moment you realise you gotta fight all those bosses again and your boys in blue are not there to back you up.

@@slipgate_warlordNow that's how you make a boss rush challenging! You basically have to bring your A game to the last stage, along with some pattern recognition too!
Blaze kicks ass that much she doesn't need garbage chicken or trash apples.
Coming back to watch the gameplay again bring back memories still got mine and want to play it again
Nice one. I'm 39yo and I would play first SOR everyday since 1993. My first Megadrive game. Only SOR4 managed to transfer original dynamics.
You took only 2 hits during all the stage. The strategy for the 2 big men and the 2 women was just amazing, impressive skills
I love this. Blaze was always my favorite character. She was fast and has good jump, which I relied on during boss fight with Antonio, and Abadede. In streets of rage 2, she was the only character with no 1 star ability, and in streets of rage 3 she is the only character who has no ability less than 4 points. Most rounded character it you ask me

Everybody talks about strategy with Blaze. Meanwhile, I always picked her because it was fun to play as a girl for a change. 😆

Though Blaze has the weakest regular attacks (she does half damage with weapons, for example), I like her because of her reach and long-range throws, which is great for making space for yourself. She's also the choice for speedrunning because of her fast walk speed.
P.S. Well done on handling the twins, Orihime and Yasha.
Yep, I agree with you! That's why it's easy to get the last boss stunlocked by her, but it's pretty hard to do the same with Axel.

@@sakurachan_sak You're welcome. Axel is probably the hardest character to use well because of his awful jump height and range, especially his back attack. His flying kick is so bad that Mr. X can actually counter it with his rifle butt.

You forgot to mention Blaze's leg throw. Chucks baddies all the way across the screen! With good aim, it can be a great defense against other baddies! 😄

Holy.. that was insane!!
Played this a few weeks ago with my friend on an emulator, we even used savestates to reload the whole time, managed to get to Mr.X with quarter of our HP and no lives/continues remaining so had to give up that run... tried this again like 3 days ago after playing a lot of SoR2/3/4 and managed to beat it this time, was still pretty hard though even on normal difficulty 😅
I'm glad that I tried these out, one of my favorite games now!

I've never seen that much amount of damage coming from a sub-boss at 4:59. Also...I could have sworn those 2 chick bosses towards the end of the video were immune to throws across the map...
The method that I use when dealing with the fat dudes is (Grab+B+B+C+C+B+B)= Until they die. I didn't learn this technique until SOR Remake but it's cool to see someone else execute something similar in the original game.

I used to played that way in Hardest since Stage 1 by killing the 2nd Player at the very beginning. Remember to finish the game without continues.
Bro aint no way. I love the strategies. Also againstbthe wrestlers. If you time your jump kick you can keep hitting them that way. They will keep running into it.

There was one time when me and a friend were playing Streets of Rage and he died at the beginning of this stage so I had to put up with two bosses. Fighting two Big Bens made me want to commit a fucking war crime.
