You, sir, have gained my respect. A few of your other SoR boss tricks I already knew from back in the day, but X always mystified me. I remember a few near perfect runs I did in the 90's that was always spoiled by X's machine gun butt. It's good to know that a perfect run is indeed possible.
I used to ask my parents to take me to the Luna Park just to play this game everyday until finally I bought it and played it like 7000000 times. I imagined I was Blaze 😂 and I had a huge crush on Axel.
I'll never forget that. During the summer holidays we played this game with the homies every day. The question came right up to the end boss: Well, your found you way here. Would you consider becoming my right-hand man? At that time we didn't understand English (only Swiss German and Albanian) and only understood "yes" or "no". A friend ordered us to put the joystick very slowly on the floor, so that we didn't press the wrong button. Unfortunately we assumed that "yes" would mean something positive and "no" something negative. So we chose "yes" and were catapulted back to the 6th level. That was a very depressed day, after all the hard fight to the final boss. I'm not going to mention those two clowns with the fireballs and the two ninja bitches.

The only thing that confuses me is why the music is different at the beginning when Blaze fights him & when he asks her to join compared to Axel & Adam, where the music I usually hear is heard.

Why the hell the theme music starts already in the video being played ? As I recall , she just starts playing when Mr. X gets up from the chair! This game has been hacked ?
you get sent back to level 6 and you have to work your way back up to him and even when you do get round to facing him again you have to fight him in the end anyway.
Thanks to emulator system all you have to do is save and reload exactly where he is about to make a move.but remembering i have to lost about 4 lives to beat this ass back in the day.
Its funny just thinking back as a kid. you know this was a sega game just because of the sound effects it has compared to nintendo system games. What I mean by that, next time you play a nintendo system like SNES or regular NES notice the sounds of the game and that of the SEGA. Especially if NES has its own games like Super Mario Bros, Mike Tysons Punchout, Konami made games.
@Airmaster167 because the white dude can jump an amazing three inches off the ground or because the black dude can jump higher then superman? joking aside i love that the white dude doesn't jump high enough to do a full kick. instead you get to deliver captain falcon's knee of justice!

In Street of Rage 1 Adams has lower speed than the other two. I´ve just completed the game in hardest level in the iphone version of the game and the speed of the final boss is very higher than i can see on the video. Maybe is because of the version of the game.
when i try to jump kick to Mr X he's ALWAYS hiting me with his weapon... sometimes its ok when i punch it but not always XD i lost around 2 lives against him but thats not so bad haha XD
i like the fact that of all enemies, Mr.X is the only one with a gun. everyone else uses weapons and fists.

If you pick yes, he drops you on a trap door.
And you start 2 levels back.
And in 2 players it shows you an evil ending.
This is the best last boss song ever.

You didn't past game at the hardest difficulty level for Axel...you're in normal, but you play very well though.

To me the main problem with this game was that it was too easy. I mean, take a look at how easily Mr. X is defeated. He hardly puts up a fight.

@TheMusicfan22 You go back to stage 6 and play through again from there. I guess it's useful if you're going for a really high score.
