Absolutely love the detail in this lesson. I can play this shot only because I play so often from the trees and I need to keep the ball low. Amazingly this is what I’m good at because I pick a line from behind and pick a landing point and finish low to keep ball under the trees. When I’m on fairway (rarely) I am never able to get the same critical visual, I guess because I think there is no trouble in the way. Thanks again for a brilliant lesson, and congrats on another fantastic round in Scotland.

Brilliant. Could you expand on this by showing correct swing for a low shot where the ball is stuck under tree's and a low shot is required to get out from under the branches? Hitting fairway woods would be nice too.

Choke up an inch, move the ball back an inch and make a three quarter swing. I lose about 20 yards (minus the conditions). This has helped me drop enough strokes to get to single digit handicap

When you said you did it wrong by leaning into it by moving forward I “cringed” because I’ve done that too and got the dreaded hosel rocket. I don’t use the word you used 🤣

Can you do a video about club face positions during the swing, I struggle with flipping wrists through impact because my club face isn’t in position during the downswing

  • @juanbotha6634

Hi Paddy. How do you hit it low off the tee? Assuming less speed 4 iron will go low and not far enough off the tee for a par 4.
Im trying to determine how to the hit the longest possible low shot.
