I jumped at the end not gon lie
Dang, that last shot of her underneath him kinda spoiled it. Too many short films end with that scary ghost face jump scare. I liked the idea of him just standing there, scarred for life, stuck in a haunted catatonic stake by what he just witnessed as a result of his dickery. It was otherwise really effective, I legit gasped out loud when she appeared around the counter 😮
I thought that, the reaching out from behind the counter was enough. Was disappointed when she popped out beneath him. Was still good though
Yeah, I think it would've been a more effective ending if it had him going "Marie? I'm..." and then just trailing off as he looks around the empty apartment. Live with the consequences of your shitty behavior > get disappeared by spooky bullshit.
Otherwise, pretty good short.
Amazing video! I like particularly the meticulous care you brought to the sound material. Every sound contributes to create the suspense that maintain us on the edge of our chair from the beginning of this short movie to the end. The different tapping effects and the soundtrack are ro effective. Therefore, the sound effects are the third main character, even if this «character» is invisible, of this movie. The most terrifying horror is the horror we don't or we can't see. Congratulations for this «little» masterwork.
One should not mess or dismiss things that they don't understand.
Unless it's completely far fetched as a "god" , completely out of place, time and reasoning ... it just couldn't exist forever

@@cindymorris2567 Oh, I absolutely know that there are no monsters and/or demons! Just as well as any PARENT when they promise their young child that there are no monsters under the bed, or no demons in the closet. Parents make that promise every single day around the world, because WE KNOW they aren't real. Why anybody changes their mind when the kids grow up is beyond me, but we KNOW they aren't real.
I absolutely loved this! The cinematography was beautiful and the story was so original! You built the suspense and tension so well! Can't wait to see your next film!

Wow, this was excellent! Really great acting and pacing and I also loved the lighting as well; all elements aided in setting up the eerie atmosphere. What a great ending as well.Awesome work! @@annfarmer9704 maybe its just me having seen many horror movies I didn’t find the ending unexpected most of them kill the main characters now a days but Im not knocking the project its a well made short film enjoyed watching it for sure.
@@jackbauer5455 the short film horror films I just got into, I don't watch the feature length ones anymore....the 80s had "fun" horror movies. this film brought that back for me!

Not bad, not bad at all. I think the climax of Garret seeing her was the weakest part. It took too long. I get it one might freeze seeing/experiencing something like that. But he never tried to do anything even after the lights came back up. It was also kind of the weakest acting from the guy playing Garret. I liked the ending. But I think I would have preferred him saying sorry right after seeing her disappear, then the "ghostly" Marie saying "too late" or something. Still very good work.

This was good. Everything seemed well done; the acting, effects, lighting, etc. The only thing that threw me off is what the entity is and what it wants. I mean, I see what it wants, but is it souls, their intestines and blood, head on a spike, our human form?

Ending could be better for sure. It seems very often that authors spend all their creative material and ideas during their films, and then poop everything with cheap ending.
