Well, it's that time of year again. People looking for instructions on fleece blankets. I can't believe, after all the adorable kitten videos I've posted, this is the one that gets all the views! Here's the deal. I made this so I would have something to go by when I inevitably forgot how to make these blankets. I know this video is hilariously awful and I'm ok with that. I'm sorry if you can't follow it (and I totally understand, because yes, it's awful), but there are several others out there that you can watch. So watch, or don't. Laugh at how bad it is. Laugh at my silly dog. Life is short and painful so have some fun.
I like your video, but could you make another one instructing how to do this beautiful scalloped edge? I can't see what you're doing very well and would appreciate it.
thank you for the video. i had no problem understanding what you were doing. i have been looking for a way to do the edges of the blanket for my sister-in-law for Christmas but was lost on how to do anything but the basic knots and i don't like those. so thanks again.
I thank you very much, your video is quick and to the point. I love it. And I love your dog. I'm attempting to make a very large blanket for my brothers bed with the help of 3 Golden Retrievers 😊
Oh man! Don't listen if people say mean things. I loved this. Haha. I wanted an edge that is not lumpy with knots! I'm trying this. And my dog loves to lay on my cutting mat as I cut on the floor so I can relate. Thanks for this!
Very nice! I thought of braiding too but hadn't tackled it. I wasn't exactly sure how I would do it, either. It is much prettier and neater (I think) than the tied off edges, but of course the tied off edges are much easier/faster especially if you are doing a quantity for charity. (I'm sure the cat or dog doesn't care!) But for a smaller number of blankets, I will try this. Thanks again!
Oh my gosh ya´ll are awesome! Tammy&Tammy´sdog! I have a last minuted guest, and no sewing supplies, and now I can make a few thicker fleece blankets, with a pretty scalloped, and easy quick edge! Thanks so much for the video idea! 2020:) Happy yesterday-Valentines from Norway:)
great looking blanket. listening to the instructions I was confused because of how you were saying it but I watched it a second time and just looked at it without paying attention to the wording and I understood it. I think it was just the wording and view of the pulling through that could've been different so the instructions were more detailed but overall I figured it out. thank you! oh and lefty gang 😄
Try to be KIND people, She just a talented young lady, Probably doing a video for the first time, I think she did darn GOOD ! ! Even considering she's a lefty & She is very young. The Yellow plaid Blanket Is the Prettiest One I've Seen so Far, It's Perfect
THANK YOU❗THIS LOOKS GREAT! REALLY WANT TO DO THIS BUT I CAN NOT SEE EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING - PLEASE POST AGAIN❗ With slow step by step on which strip is going where. We need instructions to know when you are using the strip in front of the strip you are working on in hand and give us a clear view of exactly what you are doing please. With instructions in your description also would help. THANK YOU
i actually enjoyed this. I think its easy to follow and your pupper is killing me lol such beautiful animals. Used this video to make a little one for my kitties.
I'm sorry people have the need to put you down for your set up or quality. I get that it was a little hard to see exactly what was happening but the need for just straight negative comments is idiotic. thank you for the tutorial and I hope in the future people won't feel the need to point out irrelevant things on your videos such as a skin issue. like damn. anyways just wanted to tell you keep it up!💜
I couldn't understand your way of doing it. I love the way your blanket looks. If you could please write back with step by step directions on how to do the blanket. That would be great.
Those edges are very nice and appealing to look at, however the way you had the camera I was unable to see exactly how you inserted from one to the other. Is there any way you can provide step by step instructions? Thank you for sharing your talent!!!
You could also finish the corners by just continuing the braid & then add a pre-tied small bow or a button & sewing them on the last braid (with 2 or 3 stitches & knotting the thread) of every corner to secure the blanket. It's a very cute look.
I love that youre furkids help you! Also, i love the scallop look my dog would eat the ends. But i want to learn to makw these for my pets. TY for this!
I tried to do this technique on a blanket but the edge buckled. When I saw how beautifully yours turned out I thought I would try again but I couldn’t see what you were doing. And I am left handed so following you would have been very helpful. Can you redo your video to show us clearly what goes into what? Love your blanket.
First, I have to say, I LOVE the pup talking to you!! One can certainly tell you have spent a lot of love on him/her since he/she knows talking to mamma gets some lovins! Just adorable, between the big ole sniffin snout on the left and the kitty feets on the right, I'm lmbo!!! Now to the blanket, I have watched a BUNCH of these, I like your finished edge SO much. It's very uniform and neat. I am wondering if one could somehow trim the edge so as not to have the little square edge poking out? Could it be rounded and still keep the integrity of the braid?
@ Debbie Doo I think it can, if you cut very carefully, or try to tuck those edges in. You'll see when you make it. I Love this braid much better than the knot tie ones 🕊️
My dane does the exact same thing any time I try to get my crafts going. Love the breed, but lordy they are all goofy and have to be in everything! I love the blanket, btw, and use the same method.
It's the placement of the camera that makes it so hard to watch and understand. I really want to understand what you did. You blanket looks better then most of the ones that I have seen. So I'm going to try and replicate it. Thank you!
Love the look But I didn’t quite get when you poke the hole which color goes in first and after. I played it several times but couldn’t understand. Love your talking dog too.
PS, the clip was a great idea! I only have a few safety pins, luckilyg:/ otherwise nothing else, so clips from my office supplies would have worked great:)
Hi Tammy. It can be challenging to record when you don't have all the proper equipment. One way I have dealt with this issue is to purchase a piece of clear acrylic/plexiglass (Home improvement stores have it) and set it up on top of cinder blocks (two high) or two stacks of some other type of materials (books, crates, etc). Place your phone lense side down and start recording. This will allow you to see whether or not your materials are in the video frame. It works pretty well and you don't have to worry about making people motion sick with your camera bobbing around because it's on your head ;)
I really like the end result, and I would love to learn your way, but I could not really see what was going on. Can you make another video focusing on your work.?
Terry Herbert I am new to this and we can't see a darn thing you were doing sorry but I didn't learn a bit you need to make sure that your audience is aware of what step you are doing you do it a lot beginners have been lost on this because your not showing how step by step your dog was making more noise than you know can't see at all what step was next
i can't tell what you are doing. if you could explain. Like I take the top one bottom one the one next to it top put in the one in the back or the from top ...
Tammy , I could not quite understand your way of scalloping the edge of the fleece. Could you show it a little more step by step. I did it another way with two at a time and you ae right, it looks too loose.
I so don't like the Fringe. I like this way better. The Fringe makes the blanket smaller. I wish people would say " NO MORE FRINGE" ! ! SO Many People are saying they don't like the Fringe now.
a utube vloggerjust sewed one together and turned it inside out i personally dont like the fringe in my mouthwhenu tie them together im just saying mine was a gift but i might make some to giveaway or donate i should do that like lap size or kitties
Can't be seen too clearly what you are doing camera was too high nd 2nd thing how many layers you put. Ican see three colours. Can you make the vedio more clearly nd elaborate
It was difficult to see the procedure. It was cut off & out of view of the camera, plus with the dark color & lighting it was just impossible to tell what was being done. For the novice, I'll have to watch another video.
Super cute, but your instructions are not clear. I Wwill need to view this video a few more times to try and grasp it. Or, if you have written step by step instructions (especially the how to end it part), that would be most helpful. Thank you!

Tammy Motsinger I can follow it lol and your dog is cute
This was sooo easy to follow!! Thanks for the upload 😀
Love your dog! 😊 Did you name her after the Deep Space Nine character?
Hannah Hawes I did!
I like your video, but could you make another one instructing how to do this beautiful scalloped edge? I can't see what you're doing very well and would appreciate it.
The first No-sew fleece throw that I actually think looks attractive. Beautiful!
Your pooch and kitty made this video so very much fun, thanks!
Thank you! I am also left-handed and love seeing a video showing our way of doing things. 🤓
I figured it out just fine from your set up. It’s extremely easy and simple to do once you get the hang of it. Thanks so much for the tutorial!!
Thanks for video, yes there are others to watch but I am going to try your method, loved your pets, blessings and keep on creating.
Fabulous real world video that teaches how to do something and with a wonderful dog who completely steals the show. Thank you!
I love your video , and I love your pup.... great video ..
Very nice work Tammy. Your pupper talking takes the cake .... so cute.
thank you for the video. i had no problem understanding what you were doing. i have been looking for a way to do the edges of the blanket for my sister-in-law for Christmas but was lost on how to do anything but the basic knots and i don't like those. so thanks again.
Love this! I'm going to try it , for sure!! Thanks for the video Tammy Motsinger!
Oh my goodness your doggie is sooo cute! Love the edges of your blanket too.
I loved your video, and your blanket edge is terrific! And your fur babies just made it sweet!!
I thank you very much, your video is quick and to the point. I love it. And I love your dog. I'm attempting to make a very large blanket for my brothers bed with the help of 3 Golden Retrievers 😊
Thank you for the tutorial. I loved hearing your dog in the background because it reminded me of my dog.

hole-making blade..Am left handed, an unexpected bonus!
I LOVE YOUR DOG HE IS TRYING TO HELP LOL
I definitely can't see what's going on but the blanket turned out beautiful

Wow, I had no trouble seeing how to do it! I really like how your edge looks, thank you for sharing this video! :)

Awe! Doggy wants to help. Kitty is helping! My cat and dogs love "helping" with everything too! Lol. I promise I make my bed every day! Lol
Love the dog!
Very professional. Looks like basic bind off for crocheting or knitting.
love your dog....and your tutorial ;)

AMAZING! You inspired me.
ok this video put me on edge I kept expecting you to hurt yourself. Definitely gonna try this though!
Thanks for the help. I am left handed also and like the way you finished .

My ex daughter in law made me one like this and i still love it so soft and warm.thank to her.
The blanlet you already put together looks so good. I wish tje angle of the camera was a little better to be anble to do it myself
Dog is awesome :)
That big ole doggo nose
Love the doggy
The dog though?! Lmaooooo

What are the measurements for the blanket?

Is that what was happening? I though it was my bloody blood pressure!
I really like the end result, and I would love to learn your way, but I could not really see what was going on. Can you make another video focusing on your work.?

I wish I could do it but I really can’t see clearly on the video how you are doing it. Too fast, not steady enough
How much fabric did you use?
Love it,no problem about the video it was ok I made one already
i can't tell what you are doing. if you could explain. Like I take the top one bottom one the one next to it top put in the one in the back or the from top ...
I wish i could see what your doing ✂💜💜💜💜 hope you make another.
it's really difficult to see what you're going because your camera is focused to high
I could not see or understand how it was done either...but I do like the look of it..
cute merle!
Lisa Williams NorthStar Great Danes she's a rescue from Missouri. I love her to bits!
Tammy , I could not quite understand your way of scalloping the edge of the fleece. Could you show it a little more step by step. I did it another way with two at a time and you ae right, it looks too loose.
Nice method but seriously, never attach a camera to your head. I couldn't watch the whole thing because the constant shaking made me sick.
Did you bother watching this before you posted it?
Thank You 🙂🕊️👍
PS I'm going to try this I've tried every other one to do fleece edging I do like so even though
I so don't like the Fringe. I like this way better. The Fringe makes the blanket smaller. I wish people would say " NO MORE FRINGE" ! ! SO Many People are saying they don't like the Fringe now.
Good video, but unfortunately the writing on the bottom, actually blocks the demonstration, cannot really see what is being done
thank you that was great
The camera was bopping all over the place abd her fingers were in the way. I couldn't see anything. I really wanted to see it too.
a utube vloggerjust sewed one together and turned it inside out i personally dont like the fringe in my mouthwhenu tie them together im just saying mine was a gift but i might make some to giveaway or donate i should do that like lap size or kitties

hahahhaah...is that a great dane?
Not sure if I came here for the tutorial or for the dog.
Know you don't have video equipment but its too hard to see how to do it. Very disappointing.

Can't see. Very disappointed. Will try to find this method on another video. Love the results though.
Super cute, but your instructions are not clear. I Wwill need to view this video a few more times to try and grasp it. Or, if you have written step by step instructions (especially the how to end it part), that would be most helpful. Thank you!

nice looking but directions are clear as mud
can't see it well for your fingers
I couldn't see...😢
Idk what "this" means
