@@TheSewingRoomChannelThis is my first ever of your videos, and I literally paused the screen, snapped a video of those measurements. That is _very_ useful information, as I am wanting to try for the first time to make fleece blankets for my family for Christmas. I only started sewing a few months ago, by going to a sewing club at church that was only formed to teach me how to make reusable menstrual pads to include in the Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse) shoeboxes for the older girls. So far, those pads are basically the only thing I’ve ever sewn where I didn’t have an insanely helpful group of ladies all around me to help me, so I need all the help I can get! 😅 Thank you for this video! ✝️😊
I wish I'd found this video before trying to make a project out of fleece-- I made a mistake and got so frustrated trying to rip it out because I'd made the stitch length too small and had to set it aside. I may have to give it another try with the tips from this video!
Hi Parliament. So glad the fleece blanket tutorial was helpful. Here is a link to my fleece blanket and pillow tutorial that you might also like: ruclips.net/video/cueNCfdy8TE/видео.html Hope this is also helpful. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
Such a through tutorial. I especially liked the stitching tip to prevent the fleece from stretching. And also the two layer without the fringe. Thank you for all that information, so helpful. Have a wonderful day.
Sherrill, thank you so much for the detailed instructions on this video. I especially like the single layer blanket as I myself get hot easily so this would be perfect.
When using 2 different patterns of fabric, after sewing the longer sides together, I'm thinking about using a fringe on the short ends. I think it would give the blanket a different look
Our Walmarts don't carry any fabric. Only a FEW fat quarters! Even our Fabricville has left...so all we have are quilt shops. Lovely, but would like a selection of fleece and less expensive cotton... You do amazing videos. Keep them coming...I love them, and I make a lot of your ideas
Hi Audrey. I am so happy the sewing tutorials have been helpful. It is nice to hear you made projects from my tutorials. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Hi Melissa. Measure the size of your existing bed cover, and purchase enough fabric to meet those measurements. Here is a link to a 2-sided fleece blanket: ruclips.net/video/eB5dJiA8qW0/видео.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
I love your tutorials. I am a Newby to sewing, but I am going to try one of these blankets so I can try a new stitch. By the way, would you do a beginners friendly tutorial on a toddler carseat poncho? Thanks for sharing beginners friendly tutorials.
Hello Cheryl, I'm wondering on the fleece blanket you showed, cutting the corners in by one inch X by one inch. Turning them in, and then taking the corner and folding it over to what looked like a 45° angle and then turning that edge over. Can the same procedure be done with cotton fabric to replace doing a binding on a quilt? I think it can but I'm just checking with you to verify my thoughts. I like the way these fleece blankets are done Thank you for the tips and the video.
Hi Marion. The cotton fabric will unravel. Here is a link on how to finish the corners on pot holders, quilts, table runners, etc., with and without binding. Hope this helps. Glad you liked the fleece blanket tutorial. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
