Oh So Happy to see your "no sew-no knot" fleece blanket technique! I have RA. in fingers of both hands and in wrists and very severe, painful carpal tunnel syndrome extending to both elbows with almost no feeling in my fingers decreasing my ability to hold on to things and use as I once did, including tying.
I have 5 young great-grandkids for whom I have been wanting to make this type of blanket. With the technique and scissors you have shown, I believe the kids will have blankets next to their stockings this Christmas.
    Thank you!

WONDERFUL ... Finished product is beautifully done. This method is easy, simple and requires no sewing. Great for children as well as adults and the elderly. Any one can do it. Love how you use the painter's tape to make a straight line and use as a guide to where you cut to on each of the "fringe" strips and the "very small" cut to make a hole to fold the "fringe strip" back through and lock it in place. Regular painters' tape is easily removed when finished.

Hi Martha. I do cross-stitch, and I use a rack on a stand. This is very helpful to me. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

@@TheSewingRoomChannel I might try that. I have done some small cross-stitch trying to retrain my fine nerves in my hand. It is much better than it was (totally useless), so I am blessed that I healed that much. Embroidery is such a special way to find peace and you can talk to family or friends or listen to music or a movie while doing it. No matter how, it is great at putting a calming rhythm into ones system.

If you make a small one, you can pop a cushion or pillow inside, before closing the final side. Very neat!

Thanks for this great method for these no sew fleece blankets. It reminds me of those latch-hook rugs we used to make. I love this method of no knot tying as I also have dexterity issues with my hands. I wanted to share an additional step I took using an N crochet hook to pull the ties through, like latch-hooking. I'd send photos, but don't know how to attach them here.

This is brilliant! Looking up tshirt blanket throws and saw this. I also had started doing loop knots on bottom of my tshirt fringe tote bags ratheer than a double tie knot. I found they pushed up better to leave no spaces in bottom of bag. The double knots are not malleable and look chunky in tshirt material too. This was for a no sew tshirt shopping tote. I do sometimes just sew across bottom of tote and cut strips. I may do this for my tshrit throws! just sew the squares in middle. I dont plan on using iron on interfacing. Im so old school I cant get usd to it. It doesnt wash well either. Wrinkles.

Love this! I’m going to be making these with my class of first graders and this method will be so much easier for them to do, even easier than the double knots. I also like it because it will have less bunching than the other knotted method. 😍

clever idea!! I've done several tag blankets, large ones. MANY knots lol. I also did see a see close to knots for the kids blankets cause they likes to pull on fringe. I have one more to do and I'm thinking of trying this. thanks for idea and great video and work. happy sewing

This is so great for me as I have arthritic hands with disability so I’m happy to learn about this way. My question is do the fringes stay tied during washing and drying. Even the double knotted blankets come untied. I’ve tried the braided edge but it is difficult to manipulate with my hands.
