Thanks for the review Adam! We are looking into a firmware update for those that wish to play PS2 games on backwards compatible PS3s. Will make announcement once available, thanks!
Tbh I was really disappointed with this controller. I love your dreamcast controller, but the wireless on this for pc was bad, ps2 wireless was.. useable
Definitely the best PS123 controller I've had the pleasure of using. Something I didn't hear mentioned, the D-pad has a center pivot, which makes it easier to get directional inputs right in fighting games.
My issues with these controllers is they use a rechargeable battery, as someone who works in the battery industry I know and have seen how hard it gets to find certain batteries in the future if they die. You're only option is to get some cheap version off eBay or Amazon that may harm your device (I've seen this first hand many times). I feel the option to use rechargeable or disposable batteries in the way to go, if you like to preserve gaming with physical media it's kind of the same thing honestly. Rechargeable batteries are kind of like a digital purchase, no guarantee of future use.
I repair controllers as a hobby, and I hate working with PS3 and PS4 controllers for that exact same reason, yes it is better and more convenient for the user to have a rechargeable battery but it is awful when you need to open the controller if something goes wrong and you need to change it, it is really easy to screw up the whole controller, Xbox it is constantly critized for still using batteries but if your batteries die you can easly change them without a hassle and if you need to open the controller it is a little harder to screw it up
I’d say 8bitdo has the best compromise here. Their controllers include rechargeable battery packs but also are very easily accessible if you need to remove/replace them for any reason. But to play devil’s advocate, my PS3 Sixaxis controller from 2007 is still going strong, and actually holds a charge longer than my PS4 controller from 2019 (and I also have rumble turned off on my PS4 console settings). My Wii U Pro controller seemingly outlasts both combined. I won’t pretend to know the science behind that but battery lifespans do tend to wildly vary in my experience.
@@SprunkCovers the problem with Xbox is its freaking 2022 they still dont included removable rechargable batteries in the box and its $500 and thats why people are moaning about Xbox controller and about the PS3 and PS4 controller batteries it depends on the user i still have one from 2006, 2009 and 2012 all still works and im still using team
That issue you described with the XMB happens a lot on third-party wireless controllers. I had a PowerA controller that did that and the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller does that too when paired over bluetooth. I think it's an issue with delay over Bluetooth/RF where it gets the input command and just repeats it. Disconnection or Home button usually fixes it.
Feelin that here - been an avoidant task for me just to cannibalize among so many of the ones I have to retain enough in operation for multiplayer - LAN, splitscreen/shared screens and online. It really isn't something I want to have much involvement with as it pertains to refurbishing anymore 🙄
I had that same issue with using other 3rd party controllers on the PS3. They would not work with any PS2 games. So it would be great if Retro Fighters could actually make it happen with a firmware update.
I picked one up after watching your video; much appreciated and thorough review. I'll be using it exclusively for the PS2; especially since they're working on that Bluetooth PS3 controller in the future.
The first three dual shock controllers were fine as a kid.....as an adult though playing with that thing gives me hand cramps in like 10 mins of play. Ergonomic hell. Gotta agree with you on your general sentiment. Gonna pick this up for sure.
Legitimately, the GameStop PS2 controller is also better in that regard. Particularly, it's wings are long enough that it's much more comfortable to hold. It also sports a more traditional D-Pad
No doubt. Ya know.... it's surprising that there were not holstering shells that could receive the DualShock 2 handles to reshape into a more ergonomic grip and size for adults. Hm.
I got one a week ago and I've been loving it. That said, the L2/R2 triggers at first are super sensitive and could use a small amount of resistance. Otherwise, Retro Fighters made a good controller. Plan on getting another soon.
Have you noticed that L1 and R1 had to be pressed hard in order to keep aiming? For example if you’re pressing it normally it’ll keep aiming and cancel aim but if you pressed hard it’ll keep aiming Especially in MGS and Resident Evil games
I personally prefer to play with the original authentic controllers for my retro consoles as retro gaming doesn't feel right without playing with the original controllers, but I get the Retro Fighters controllers for guests that are not used to the older controllers.
Thanks for reviewing this Adam, mine should be arriving this week. I have been looking for a wireless solution that will fulfill multiple consoles for a long time, and this should be the answer. Not only will it serve my PS1, PS2, PS3 and Switch - through special adapters it will be my go to wireless for my Gamecube and org Xbox. Can't wait!
I dont understand how people think the playstation 1,2, and 3 controllers are uncomfortable, They are fine. I dont think ive ever played a console from the big three (sony, microsoft, nintendo) that is "uncomfortable.
Glad you like them! To be honest, I was expecting more people to take the position you did, but surprisingly a lot of people seem to agree they aged like milk.
One of my biggest gripes about playing old school PlayStation games is the controller. This would definitely solve my problem with that. However, I use the old 60GB model so I can play all three gens on one console and being that it needs a firmware update, I’ll wait to purchase until that’s done. When I first heard about this item, I got hyped for an impending video. Personally not too into retrofighters controllers but love watching Adam's videos about them.
Regarding the issue you had with the XMB, I have it as well with my current setup which is 8BitDo Pro2 controllers connected via Bluetooth using the MAYFLASH Magic-S PRO 2. Regarding USB ports, you can use a USB HUB on your PS3.
I really like that there are wireless options for the PS1/2 that aren’t just cheap knockoffs now. I got the N64 controller from retrofighters and although it’s design is good, it feels really cheap. I’d pay an extra $15 or so for a more premium feel
I know for a fact that PS2 games on the backwards-compatible PS3 do not work with USB controllers. It might work with a third-party Bluetooth controller, but I wouldn't bet on it. I think, because PS2 backwards-compatibility was so short lived, controller compatibility with PS2 games is pretty low. I remember reading somewhere that some people even had issues with newer model first-party controllers not working with PS2. (Although, to be fair, I might be misremembering.) I do know that the original Sixaxis controller and the first model DualShock 3 both work with PS2.
I love the og controller but this does look pretty cool. Great video and review on it. Love how precise you are on your reviews of things. Maybe I will get one eventually.
I'm going to get this to use it solely for the God of War games on RPCS3 (the PS3 emulator). I'm a massage therapist and I'm wearing down my wrist. This controller with the turbo button will really help with the mashing quick time events.
I do like the Retro Fighters Dreamcast Controller, my only wish is for a re-programmable 2nd stick that could potentially be used for camera in some games or make it easier to menu in the Dreamcast PSO games.
I had the same thought, maybe some revision with 2 sticks and a switch at the bottom to map stick 2 to either the face buttons, shoulder buttons, or the D pad would be very nice to mess around with at least
Thank you for the very thorough testing of this controller. I was afraid of the your findings with the PS3 back compat issues. I was using a wired controller from PowerA for the PS3 and noticed I couldn't get the controller to work during PS2 games. I even had a bootleg Dualshock 3 that connects over bluetooth and sometimes it wont work while playing PS2 games. PS1 is no issue. It has to be something to do with how Sony implemented controller support using the PS2 hardware inside the PS3. Was hopeful this controller wouldn't suffer the same fate but this answers my question. Still seems good enough to pick up.
Oh nuts. Well that was my question too. If you find a good controller thats still out there to buy new that works on PS3 BC PS2 games, please let us know!!!!!!
I feel you on the PlayStation controllers of the past, and I remember when I first tried the 360 controller and thinking man how did we live without it.
I'm liking all the new controllers for the older systems in this gen and by this company. I'm about to perform N64 surgery and used your console cleaning video for lessons on taking it apart.
I had to watch this video just to be sure about the controller if its worth it. So far it works flawlessly on my PS2 slim. Im looking into getting another one for my PS3 and thank god you covered it here to take notes. And my response is im not planning in playing ps2 games on the PS3 couldnt even if i wanted to cause its the late version...
I had two StrikerDC’s and both had trigger breaks. The posts that hold them in are plastic and break off. I really liked the controller but had to return twice and get my money back. I’m reluctant to buy another unless this gets fixed. Other than that they’re great but 6hrs of play and they break isn’t worth me getting another until I can confirm they’ve fixed that issue.
Just picked one up for my PS3. I really wish they went with rechargeable batteries so that these controllers don't start failing like the DS3's are now.
Hello Adam, Are you able to confirm proper functioning of the pressure sensitive buttons on PS2/PS3 games? I was under the impression that no 3rd party controller had this feature. If it works, I will seriously consider buying these.
Am curious as well. Have forgotten who had told me there is a way to measure the pressure sensitivity (and thumbstick encoder ranges) via adapted connection to PC and utilizing some fairly simple software but I don't recall the software. Would very much be interested in hearing what that is if, for anything, checking/narrowing down operational concerns when refurbishing/maintaining.
Are you able to turn on the PS3 by pressing the home button on the controller? And can you charge the controller via the USB-C cable through the PS3's front ports?
@@AdamKoralik Such a shame, it's a big pet peeve of mine that third-party PS3 controllers don't activate the console via the home button. Hopefully the upcoming six-axis version of this controller can buck that trend, because this seems like a perfect replacement to my aging OEM controller.
These controllers are must for N64 in my opinion, can’t stand that controller didn’t like it back then and even less so now, so to have it in a more traditional form factor is critical for me.
I just got the black model Defender as well. Although disappointed no keychain but, it’s a great controller I have the wired N64, brawler Gen, & Dreamcast one.
Such an awesome controller, need to grab one of those in the future. They make a good job of making the controllers! Fun fact, I love to play wireless with my PS2. I do with fake controllers
i personally like the og ps1-3 DualShock design. I find it extremely comfortable how small and light weight they are. I obviously prefer the DualShock 4 and dualsense though.
Yeah when the PS3 runs in PS2 mode it begins to look for native controller support only, since the PS2 mode prompts traditional USB support, so only the 2 sockets work, but they only work for USB based peripherals, things that a REAL PS2 would only be looking for.
I just received mine... Now I can put my perfect condition OEM PS2 and PS3 controllers in storage to keep them safe... I never want to wear out original legacy hardware...
The XMB issue isn't exclusive to this controller actually, I used to have a USB PowerA controller and a USB Logitech controller that would do the same thing.
Sweet, I've been looking for a good Dual Shock 3 alternative. But I think that XMB issue might be system level, I've had scrolling issues even with official 1st party gamepads.
I bought and paid for this with my own money. Its ok. It feels cheap and light. It is better than a dualshock for ergonomics so ill use it. But this is not on the same league as an Xbox 360 or dualshock 4 controller.
I also bought all 4 colors, should receive them next week. Gonna use them for my MiSTer FPGA for PS1 games, on my PS2, on my PS3, on my Dreamcast because I have 4 Brook wireless controller adapters and on my PC.
I like the original digital controller that came with the original PlayStation, but I have a love/hate relationship with the dualshock line of controllers, I especially don't like the pressure sensitive buttons except for on the triggers they just feel mushy like there's something wrong with the buttons.
Nice it reminds me of the Razer and Nacon PS4 controllers. Though i would like to see a Bluetooth Adaptor for the PS1,PS2 and PSX DVR. The PS5 controller is essentially the Ultimate Controller by this point, it’s very difficult to compete with that. But it would be awesome if we can use the PS3, 4 and 5 controller on a PS1 and 2.
I picked up the gray one. So the dongles would match. I've had one issue on the ps3, so far. Specifically on the Tomb Raider trilogy collection, up left on the left anilog stick is not responding.
My blue defender never worked with my PS1. It loses sync when any game boots. Asked customer support and they are only sending me another controller. I wish someone knew how to fix this sync issue.
i had similar issues on my bw compatible ps3 using my brook ps2 to ps3 adapter while playing ps2 games, noteably SFA Anthology. i emailed them about the concern and a few weeks later they sent me a beta fw update that corrected the bug, i'm not sure what they had to change, but the problem your having is likely fixable.
So, I found out the ps3 God of war 2 game L2 and R3 triggers are extremely sensitive. However when I play Modern Warfare the triggers are normal. So I guess select games have the annoying sensitive L2 and R2. I don't have a list of games to try and find the consistency, so if anyone is reading this please contribute.
It works with the PS1/PS2 multitap, it actually references that in the manual. No, though they're supposedly working on a more PS3 enhanced controller.
I'll concur that breakage issue especially when it comes to the more frequently used trigger buttons on DualShock 2. For whatever reason on the units I have, I'm having more of them that have mechanical issue that keeps them pinned inside the shell instead of popping back out like they should
Do the face buttons have an analogue function like the PS2/3 Dualshock did? Not that many games used them, but certain games would surely be unplayable if they are missing that analogue function? MGS2 and Gran Turismo spring to mind.
how about them pressure sensitive buttons? you mentioned them in the overview but didn't go over them in the review. i specifically ask for games like MGS 2&3 and racing games that make use of them.
I got two of these; one for dedicated use on PS1 (and for use as player 2), and one for PS2. Overall it's fantastic, but I find that the D-pad inputs diagonals waaaaaaay too easily. It's especially noticeable in PS1 games, since those tend to rely more on digital inputs rather than analog controls. Playing Resident Evil with this controller results in the characters drunkenly careening into walls, while Solid Snake in MGS1 is constantly shimmying along walls when I just want him to stay put. Adam (or anyone else), did you have this specific issue? If so, does anyone have a solution to it? I've heard people put stickers on the circuit boards for 8bitdo controllers that have similar issues, but would that work here?
That was a *seriously* fast reply! Thanks! (The controller is fantastic otherwise and it's definitely my new default PS2 pad, so I definitely recommend it in spite of the excess sensitivity)
If you don't have an OEM PS3 controller it'll do that skipping thing every so often. I have a Super Slim version and I thought my controller was an OEM then that started happening and I knew I had a fake one. In game, no problem, but on that XMB it can be a hassle sometimes. The one thing not mentioned that I'd like to know is does it have Six Axis support? Some of the early PS3 games require it like Folklore where you have to flick the controller almost like a Wiimote to attack enemies. With a controller without it that game becomes unplayable.
Does it work for dual shock 2 only games? some ps2 games will only work with an official controller, path or neo and outrun Coast 2 coast off the top of my head need a dual shock 2?
I was watching for fun but the fact it has pressure sensitive buttons is selling me. Especially when it’s kind of hard to come across DualShock 3s in great condition at a good price
Have you tried using the ps2 controller adapter for the PS3? You could plug that wireless dongle for the ps2 version into the adapter and maybe it’d work better on ps3?
@@AdamKoralik I have the same issue with a 3rd party controller I bought off of amazon. But when I plugged it in the dongle it worked. Controller still resyncs but it works fine afterwards. Must be something to do with the system switching to the emotion chip for ps2? Not sure what causes it.
@@Spazbo4 Well, the standard PS3 controllers are connected via USB or bluetooth to begin with and they don't have this issue. Plus you're not having the issue on PS2 hardware, it's happening on PS3 hardware.
@@Spazbo4 I don't think you're getting this. The PS3 already accounts for what you're describing. Hence normal Sony brand PS3 controllers work on a PS3 with PS2 games. Those controllers connect either via Bluetooth or USB. The same method as the Defender. The difference is the official controller works where the Defender doesn't. Why it doesn't remains unknown to me.
I just got mine and i dont like how it angels inward, makes the controller feel to small. D-pad is weird too. Everything works great though and i got the Katana controller as a backup/player2 controller.
Can't say I encountered that. Tweet at Retro Fighters, they're pretty good about updating firmware. They already did for the backwards compatibility issue.
This might be convenient for me, at least on PS3. Although I love the classic DualShock controllers for both the PSone and PS2, I hate the DualShock 3 / Sixaxis controllers for PS3. I'm being completely honest. I don't care for analog triggers, but the ones on the PS3 controllers are a hot mess and this happened to me when I was playing through the first God of War game. Out of the blue while playing it, Kratos just started doing random different moves that I didn't make him do and when I tried to pause the game, the analog sticks had a mind of their own, as well and this happened to me numerous times. Later, I found out that Sony made their DualShock 4 controllers officially work on all PS3 models through a system update and that was nice for me (if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be able to beat GoW), but then the battery in the controller went out and because of Sony's *brilliant* decision to use micro-USB to charge the controller, I'm screwed and I sure as heck don't feel like doing surgery on the controller, just to make it work as intended. I tried that on my DualShock 3 controller and uhh, well... I don't have that controller anymore.
I bought the blue and green and the shipping package was the hardest part to open lol. I could not get the controller to work on PS2 games on my PS3. If you figure it out please share.
PS2 and PS3 controllers are rough honestly compared to the PS4 and PS5 controllers. I may get this. I did get this. Hopefully my BladeGC for the GameCube comes out soon too.
Adam, just curious if you tried an USB to PS2 adapter cable using the PS1 and PS2 dongle on it on the PS3 to see if you still had the same issues? Hopefully that makes sense lol
Does it feel “heavy” when talking about build quality? I had a generic wireless one for ps2 and it felt real cheap like if you look at it wrong itd bust. Great video again btw Adam! 😎
That's so weird that you experienced that issue with it for PS2 games on PS3. I have a modded PS3 slim that I run PS2 ISO's on and mine worked no problem.
@@AdamKoralik Yeah I saw. I even like this controller more for that reason because I don't have to awaken the controller after booting up a PS2 iso. It just syncs up automatically. Do the other controllers you got behave the same way?

Are you able to confirm proper functioning of the pressure sensitive buttons on PS2/PS3 games? I was under the impression that no 3rd party controller had this feature. If it works, I will seriously consider buying these.
I didn't test this personally, but in the comments some people claim they did and that they work well.
Won't be buying until I have more info.
Great review, I just ordered one from Castlemania Games though it's backordered.
Side Note, I bought s Power A wired PS3 controller with the xbox 360 stick layout and it also is not recognized when playing PS2 games on my 60gb PS3.
Are you able to turn on the PS3 by pressing the home button on the controller? And can you charge the controller via the USB-C cable through the PS3's front ports?
It won't turn on that way, no, but yes you can charge the controller on a PS3.
Kinda surprised they didn’t emulate the individual button PlayStation D-pad instead of the typical crisscross D-pad.
6:02 Retro Fighters should bundle a DVD of _Space Jam: A New Legacy_ for you to watch while you do an initial 2-hour charge of their Defender battery
i personally like the og ps1-3 DualShock design. I find it extremely comfortable how small and light weight they are. I obviously prefer the DualShock 4 and dualsense though.
You're not alone in not liking the ps1 thru ps3 controller I actively avoid them when possible lmao
Looks like a decent little 3rd party controller. I may have to remember this for later if I'm looking for something that this may meet the needs of.
Sweet, I've been looking for a good Dual Shock 3 alternative. But I think that XMB issue might be system level, I've had scrolling issues even with official 1st party gamepads.
Good to know I'm not crazy then.
I bought and paid for this with my own money. Its ok. It feels cheap and light. It is better than a dualshock for ergonomics so ill use it. But this is not on the same league as an Xbox 360 or dualshock 4 controller.
Leaving a comment for the algorithm
I also hated the first 3 DualShocks they were very uncomfortable for me, the grips were too short.
DS4 and Dual Sense are great though.
I also bought all 4 colors, should receive them next week. Gonna use them for my MiSTer FPGA for PS1 games, on my PS2, on my PS3, on my Dreamcast because I have 4 Brook wireless controller adapters and on my PC.
It's awesome on the MiSTer FPGA, especially the PS1 Core.
Hold the home button til it locks on , also it's a reset button on the bottom!
I've had this for a week and can't get it to function on my backwards ps3 playing ps2 games from disc, anyone else have this problem?
Well, yes. That was part of my review. You should see the pinned comment too.
My bad, I'm glad you brought it up since no other youtubers have.
All good.
Looks a lot like a Switch Pro controller. That's a compliment.
i'm waiting for the bluetooth version that will have six axis for ps3
i had similar issues on my bw compatible ps3 using my brook ps2 to ps3 adapter while playing ps2 games, noteably SFA Anthology. i emailed them about the concern and a few weeks later they sent me a beta fw update that corrected the bug, i'm not sure what they had to change, but the problem your having is likely fixable.
Good to know!
I wonder of there could be a way to update the firmware to correct the PS3 issue?
Hopefully!
Nice review as always ^^ Do the 4 controllers work with the ps1/ps2 multitap? Also is there six-axis support in the controller?
It works with the PS1/PS2 multitap, it actually references that in the manual.
No, though they're supposedly working on a more PS3 enhanced controller.
@@AdamKoralik Well, no sixaxis functionality means PS3 games such as Uncharted and The Last of Us are impossible to complete with this controller.
@@MichaelM28 But not Super Rub 'a' Dub. Needs 4k120 remaster.
@@MichaelM28 That is great news. Wonder why it took until now for a fully replicated DualShock3 equivalent controller to be made by a third party.
pretty sweet. I love the PS2 but the controller always feels like its about to break in my hands.
They claim to, but I don't know those games well enough to judge the difference to be totally honest.
I was playing MGS3 and the CQC functions worked perfectly.
how about them pressure sensitive buttons? you mentioned them in the overview but didn't go over them in the review. i specifically ask for games like MGS 2&3 and racing games that make use of them.
Seemed fine, but to be honest those aren't games I know well enough to judge between the original and this.
Big question, does this have Sixaxis motion control? Because some games like Flower, Blast Factor and Super Rub'a'Dub actually need for gameplay.
Actually that's a great question, I'm not sure. I think the manual referred to it, but I didn't think to test that personally.
Adam is the type of guy to judge a book by itself cover.
THERE. ARE. FOUR. LIGHTS!
:)
Certainly can't say I did....
I didn't test that personally, but I don't think it does.
Does it work for dual shock 2 only games? some ps2 games will only work with an official controller, path or neo and outrun Coast 2 coast off the top of my head need a dual shock 2?
I didn't test that specifically, but some people below said it works great with that.
Man, if I could find that thing I would have. I forgot all about that.
@@AdamKoralik I have the same issue with a 3rd party controller I bought off of amazon. But when I plugged it in the dongle it worked. Controller still resyncs but it works fine afterwards. Must be something to do with the system switching to the emotion chip for ps2? Not sure what causes it.
You know I'll pick up two for myself also is it true can't power up the ps3 while pressing the home button on the controller?
I didn't think to test that, but I doubt it would work since the PS3 needs to power the dongle first.
@@AdamKoralik oh I see well no matter I will still get them.
makes sense that the controller doesnt work for PS2 games on PS3, since PS2 never used USB for controller input other than peripherals
Well, yes, but that shouldn't be why.
@@AdamKoralik why not? are there other USB third party controllers that do work on PS3 when playing a ps2 game?
@@Spazbo4 Well, the standard PS3 controllers are connected via USB or bluetooth to begin with and they don't have this issue. Plus you're not having the issue on PS2 hardware, it's happening on PS3 hardware.
@@AdamKoralik thats because you dont plug the USB dongle into the PS2 for this. its because PS2 games dont use USB for normal controller input
Any information on if the 6 axis/ Bluetooth version will support the ps2 mode on the ps3 cecha01? - thanks
It doesn't. The new version might.
@@AdamKoralik thanks
Anyone else had issues with theirs on ps1? D-pad seems to randomly think it’s the O and X buttons…
Can't say I encountered that. Tweet at Retro Fighters, they're pretty good about updating firmware. They already did for the backwards compatibility issue.
@@AdamKoralik thanks, works fine on ps2 so I’m hoping it may be in the wrong mode or firmware but I’ll give them a shout.
Will the Retro Fighters Defender controller work with the Sly collection on PS3?
Why wouldn't it?
When I tried using my PS4 controller on PS3 some games weren't compatible
PS4 controller is a tad limited on a PS3.
Yes, because it's a native PS3 version.
Great review.
darn it adam, i looooove your shirt here!
sony owns the font! but thats what ruins most of the cool controllers. you look at the buttons and see a warped x, a almost round square etc.
Adam, just curious if you tried an USB to PS2 adapter cable using the PS1 and PS2 dongle on it on the PS3 to see if you still had the same issues? Hopefully that makes sense lol
I did not, I forgot those even exist. I don't think I even own one.
@@AdamKoralik I don't have one but I ordered one so I'll know soon enough 👌
also website states no sixaxis support on ps3 dude
Yes, and?
Does it feel “heavy” when talking about build quality? I had a generic wireless one for ps2 and it felt real cheap like if you look at it wrong itd bust. Great video again btw Adam! 😎
It's relatively light, like maybe half of not a third the weight of say a Switch Pro controller.
@@AdamKoralik Alright cool!
Does this controller blow the PS2's rumble fuse? I hear a lot of 3rd party PS2 controllers did, including the QuasiCade QuasiCon!
Sorry, unfamiliar with that.
Looks like a Dualsense, which is good in my book.
That's so weird that you experienced that issue with it for PS2 games on PS3. I have a modded PS3 slim that I run PS2 ISO's on and mine worked no problem.
I mean, you can see it for yourself.
@@AdamKoralik Yeah I saw. I even like this controller more for that reason because I don't have to awaken the controller after booting up a PS2 iso. It just syncs up automatically. Do the other controllers you got behave the same way?
Yeah, I just went back and checked again with the gray one. Same thing.
@@AdamKoralik bit of a bummer. They did say they were coming out with a PS3 specific controller later on.
@@jeremyzeeky3024 I'm actually more intrigued why yours works. Are you running PS2 ISOs or repackaged PS2 games as PKG files?
Mine had the same issue on the PS3 XMB too. Did it also happen on the PSX XMB?
Didn't seem to, good question though.
I have to go blue to replace my dying ps2 dualshock.
