How to Calculate Wheel Building: Offsets & Lip & Barrel Size

  • When building wheels to a desired ET, you need to be able to accurately work out the correct lip and barrel size needed. Visualising this on paper is the easiest way to ensure you are using the correct parts for the build.
    In this video you will see the calculations used to ensure the correct parts are used and hopefully by seeing it on paper, it allows you to understand wheel building as a whole and enable to you to build wheels accurately in the future.

    So I have a 10.5 +13. I was thinking of getting and inch off my lip. Which would make it a 9.5 +13 right?
