      keepupwithliv I made the protein balls today and I followed the recipe exactly proportion-wise and they were EXTREMELY crumbly and near impossible to made into balls. They look nothing like yours. Only thing I can think is that maybe my protein powder scoop is a bigger portion?!?! Any suggestions?! Do disappointed. I hope they harden some in fridge. 🤦🏻‍♀️😢

    Loved this video! Just found your channel and I deff subbed ;D I love the chocolate covered pecan idea, and using cauliflower instead of garbanzo beans for the hummus I HAVE to try because I make homemade hummus because its so good but I'm usually always bloated because of it. Thank you for that idea! & the protein balls look De-Licious too! :D

      you could honestly do any vegetable depending on one you like! sweet potato would be good but not the best if you are eating it on sweet potato toast. carrot would work, or any other root veg

    Thank you for the yummy recipes Liv! Can you please share how to do the paleo chocolate? You said only cacao and coconut oil. It won't be super bitter? Or do you add pure mable as well?

    • @keepupwithliv
      @keepupwithliv  5 лет назад

      you can add a teaspoon of maple syrup if you like! I have gotten sugar out of my system to the point where it doesnt crave sugar so you can totally add a little bit if that works better for you :)

    • @aimeerivera6625
      @aimeerivera6625 5 лет назад

      keepupwithliv but you do add maple syrup to all the recipes you share, that's why I was asking if I could add it since it's an unrefined sugar. It's because I think once I tried making this chocolate and omg super bitter 😖 I could not eat it so I threw it away lol

    • @jasminew7379
      @jasminew7379 5 лет назад

      @@aimeerivera6625 maybe you can try making a date paste and adding it into the chocolate! Just make the paste more runny so ot can combine better with the chocolate and coconut oil (:

    • @aimeerivera6625
      @aimeerivera6625 5 лет назад

      keepupwithliv and what do you mean you've gotten sugar completely out of your system? As in you cut it out of your diet for a long period of time and then introduced it back slowly? And that's why you don't crave it? 🤔 lol Sorry I'm confused 🤷🏻‍♀️

    What is the best way to tell if an avocado is ripe. I bought a Haas one, but it feels hard right now.

    • @jennarh3
      @jennarh3 5 лет назад +1

      What I have found is that if an avocado is a lighter/medium green color and is fairly hard, it isn’t ripe enough and should sit out longer. If it is kind of brown and pretty mushy when you gently squish it, it is overripe. But when it is dark green in color and isn’t super hard or have a soft mushy feeling, but still has some give to it (is fairly soft) when you squish it, it is ripe. The color thing is just a general rule; testing how soft the avocado is, is the most reliable test I would say to see if it is ripe. Another quick tip is that if it is ripe, you can put it in the fridge, and it will stop the avocado from going bad as fast. I am not an expert; these are just the things that I have learned from trial and error of picking avocados. Hope this helps. ☺️

    • @keepupwithliv
      @keepupwithliv  5 лет назад +1

      what Jenna said! I use the method where you look at the top of the avocado and pick the thing off at the top, if its green then its ripe!

    Why is coconut flour different?

    • @keepupwithliv
      @keepupwithliv  5 лет назад +1

      coconut flour is VERY absorptive. so you need 1/4 the amount of coconut to almond. so for every 1 cup of almond you only need 1/4 of coconut.
