So I reckon your 2 shilling was cupronickel as I think they took out the silver around 1946. I had a 1949 half crown a while back and I was gutted. I’m still amazed it didn’t mysteriously turn to silver when you touched it!! 🤣

100 per cent it’s cupronickel mate , thought it was actually copper initially , none of that awl shite on the King Billy Ollie shillin 😁🤣
