    I just read a recent study in which they did autopsies and found the ink deposits in the lymph nodes.. doesn't sound good. I wonder if there's a correlation with tattoo's and cancer incidence?

    • @stevemiller4494
      @stevemiller4494 3 года назад +17

      That is very fascinating because the doctor told me years ago an infectious disease doctor told me that if you get a tattoo your body will continuously have an immunology response to the die so that could be overwhelming the lymphatic system or maybe the ink ends up depositing in the lymphatic system and maybe it does cause cancer.... I do know those people that go overboard with it end up usually committing suicide case in point zombie boy and the cat man..... Additionally no doubt you probably can get not only hepatitis and AIDS from it and staph infections and allergic reactions years after but additionally you can get the master virus called the Epstein-Barr virus from it..... Now the Epstein-Barr virus is a master cancer maker that generally 90% of the people in the world have this virus..... I myself have it and there's times where it exerts itself.... Meaning it comes out of its dormancy cuz generally it can be dormant for years and stress or immunological responses can bring it out and cause it to flare up so maybe those people with tattoos having continuous immunological response like that infectious disease doctor told me years ago maybe that constant heightened state of your body and having the Epstein-Barr virus can cause the cancer to come out and get busy unfortunately.... I'm so glad that I didn't end up having a tattoo 😅

      Tattoos are constantly broken down over time by whit blood cells which is why they fade. As they are broken down they are circulated through the lymphatic system just like other waste. As long as they don’t clog up the lymphatic system and cause swelling in the lymph nodes, it seems that they won’t have any detrimental effect on the lymphatic system or the body as a whole.

    I know someone who got a tattoo and years later when she had cancer and removed her lymph nodes one was black with tattoo ink. Her radiation went from the front to the back of her body and right into her tattoo.
    I have autoimmune issues and touching something (different types of plastics are the worst) can cause me to break out in hives. No way am I going to inject something into my skin that I can't get rid of and don't know what it's made of. Almost getting my eyebrows done is what caused me to rethink the whole tattoo thing.
    Thank you for this video, Dr. Berg. I can share it so others can make a more educated decision than an emotinal one. I won't share it with the person I mentioned above. There's nothing she can do now except pray the cancer doesn't return a third time.

    Another fact is missing: Tattoo paint pigments are foreign structures for the immune system. You will live in a permanent state of inflammation, because the immune system will react to the pigments and try to break them down. The color actually ends up in the lymph nodes and does whatever there. You can also develop allergies and auto immune disorders.

    • @saraandstuartshannon2160
      @saraandstuartshannon2160 6 месяцев назад +4

      Exactly! Actually, what is holding your ink and making it visible are your antibodies trying to keep it in your skin to prevent it to enter your body, but with time, your antibodies can’t do it successfully, that’s why tattoos fade with time, which means that this same ink is inside of your body and creates a mess. One thing that’s worse then getting a tattoo is to get laser removal as laser basically burns your antibodies that are holding an ink, so, it gets into other parts of your body. Definitely bad idea!

The added tattoo add very little compared to what your immune system has to fight constantly, it’s extremely unlikely to cause any type of chronic immune system issues and when it does it’s usually because something was wrong in the process or the person was already extremely vulnerable. @@devinreed5725 How tattoo removal works is because tattoo ink needs to be heated at very high temperatures to shatter, yet high temperatures usually cause skin to scar. Astanza laser systems feature a sophisticated technology, Q-switching, that effectively breaks down ink without scarring.
      Astanza Q-switched laser systems feature amazingly short laser pulses that only last for nanoseconds (billionths of a second).
      Because the laser pulse is so brief, the power is high enough to shatter the ink. But, because the energy is in the skin for such a short period of time, there is no risk of damage to the skin.

I have zero tattoos and I didn't know how to express why I didn't want them, for I did not want to sound rude, prudish and condescending. I also had this fear of the ink seeping into my blood stream, or a worry that if I got one, would my skin be able to be nourished by the sun rays? I was also worried about the inks. I didn't take the time out to research about the risks of tattoos because I didn't want to get one. Tattoos fade away because your immune system is removing them... Laser treatments can break the ink into smaller particles which helps the cells to take away the ink... It was all about class structure back in those days, of course today my view point has changed and I am more accepting of them, but the fear of being disowned as a kid never made me want to get one still to this day.

      Semi-permanent make-up ink is prepared in laboratories and is pharmaceutical grade. However, it should only ever be bought from a reputable company who specialise in SPMU.
      A truly reputable SPMU artist uses only disposable needles, which are disposed of in a Sharps box immediately after use. In the UK we are inspected for hygiene practices, have to have a personal needle license and the premises we work from also has to have a license. These are issued by local councils following a full inspection by an Environmental Health Officer.

    I hesitate to say this because I’m not anonymous….but my husband is a trucker and one of his workmates was coming back across the Canadian border and was being “interrogated” by custom, and they started sniggering and asking him about a tattoo in a compromising place. He admitted he was drunk and got a tattoo on his derrière. He wasn’t amused that they knew all about it and were laughing about it. But the fact that they knew and had a record of it - the studios/artists must have to report what they’ve done. That’s unnerving!
    When my oldest was 18, he commented on a friend’s tattoo, “That’s such a cute baby!” The friend was visibly irritated and his wife pulled me over, laughing and said that her husband used to have big muscles, and that “baby” used to be a bodybuilder! 🤷‍♀️

    This video is deceiving. His dry board illustration is akin to plausible deniability on his part. Not all pigments contain his stated ingredients and his “research” is essentially a ten second google search. I know parents who have better arguments against tattooing. The comments are even more foolish. Getting a tattoo is a personal choice. Your opinions on the subject matter if you don’t have one are not only from a place of inexperience, but personal bias. And to the commenter who mused about his kidney experience, that was not the same product chemically nor structurally. That was a dye, not a core pigment in a suspension or carrier.
    Finally, in regard to the sterilization suggestion, he forgot to mention EO GAS sterilization methods used by manufacturers selling pre-sterilized, disposable equipment.
    Perhaps consulting a credible practitioner would have been a good idea before making incomplete content.

    7 tattoos and counting...
    I've had no issues. My tattoo artists are all health accredited, use auto claves to clean and sterilize their guns, use individually sealed needles (for each color, so no cross contamination), wear and change gloves during a session regularly, and clearly display what inks they use. The owner of one of the studios I frequent actually helped write the health and safety codes for tattoo parlors in the state they are located in (shout out to Lone Wolf Tattoo in TN). Most honest artists are not out to hurt you, they aren't "back alley poke and stick", and if something goes wrong, they are going to work with you to fix it because that is their reputation on the line.
    Bottom line; if you are thinking about getting a tattoo, DO YOUR RESEARCH! Research the parlor and the artist. Visit the parlor and check out the cleanliness, the lighting, the atmosphere. Schedule a chat with the artist (or owner) and ASK QUESTIONS. Ask them about their procedures, the ink, heck, even the type or brand of gloves they use. If they get irritated, leave and find another parlor. Take your time to find the artist that will calmly answer any and all questions you might have about the process. It's your body and your responsibility to take care of it properly. You may decide that getting a permanent tattoo isn't for you, and that is fine, too. Some of us like having a bright and colorful bit of artwork that goes with us everywhere and makes us smile when we see it. Closing thought: one thing I've noticed among those of us with tattoos; we don't judge, because it's not our place to do so.

    • @Nolaman70

      You don't judge people without tattoos?

    • @Caeleinn
      @Caeleinn 3 года назад +1

      @@Nolaman70 Nope. It's not my place to judge anyone. I've just noticed that being non-judgmental seems to be more prevalent amongst those with tattoos or body modifications (piercings, etc). Simply reading through the comments here, I've been labeled as "trashy", "tramp", & worse, just because I have tattoos. Those people don't know me. They don't know that I rescue kittens or sing in a choir or spend my evenings working on crochet projects or decorating my island in Animal Crossing. Nope, my character has been judged on my appearance alone. But to those people, I just shrug & say, "Have a blessed day." I know where my heart lies & the one entity that has the right to judge me knows the good within it.

      @@Caeleinn it’s not about judging tattooed ppl. It’s about battling ignorance and sometimes ignorance is hard to argue with. Judging by your comment you seem like a good person with a good heart who is also a believer. If someone asks you to do drugs for the sake of following an ongoing trend and then tells you that there’s a slight risk that you might die after taking this would you risk your life even a little bit just for the sake of looking cool ? And im sure God wouldn’t want us to risk our health either. There’s still a lot we don’t know about the world and the universe. The recent arrival of covid proved that fact. I wonder how many micro organisms are out there in the world that haven’t been yet discovered. I know there are tatted ppl out there that seem to be okay but we don’t know what their private lives are like but still just that observation and the studies on tattoo safety shouldn’t be our green signal to go out and act suicidal
