OMG, HI BOB!!! SO GOOD TO SEE YOUR SMILING FACE!!
I was bedridden without medical support for a year. Have become deconditioned - my entire system. Hip flexors, Pain shocks down my legs or low back, can’t stand for longer than 5 minutes, leg weakness with walking.
Is this where I should start? Feels like I have Gorilla Glue in my back, hips and legs. Enough to make me cry. I so appreciate your videos.

Iv been a heaven equipment operator for 35 years, a dozer op for 21 years. Nothing is harder on your lower back. I seen two neurologist at the same time because a chiropractor sent me to them. They said never see a chiropractor for lower back pain and gave me a pamphlet on how to stretch lower back. It was a life and job saver. Sit on floor with just shoulders against sofa and have feet in a chair. Your tailbone is as far from sofa as possible with shoulders still on edge of sofa. Feet are basically chest high. Sit as long in this position as tolerable. Works flawlessly !

After banging up one of my discs and pulling some musicles, I pulled another after two months down my right buttocks starting at the hip. Big ouch. I did a morning routine to get the body juiced up similar to this. Activated muscles unrelated to the injured ones, then slowly began activating those very carefully. A few minutes later I was kneeling in my bed, well warmed up and ready to sit at the edge of the bed and just get up and move around. The more light excercise I do in the day, the better my day is. Some light pain management medication from time to time right now, but I anticipate it become less necessary within a few days.
This kind morning routine in bed dramatically improved my day, so thank you for spreading that around.

Just this week I learned that I can have a screaming back spasm in bed and this exercise stops it instantly! OMG I have spent months with 'bed dread', sweating with anxiety that any little movement would illicit a spasm that has me yelling so loud the neighbors hear me. I truly can't believe how well this works! No pain meds for me thank you Jesus!

    • @NinjaBooKitty
      @NinjaBooKitty Год назад +2

And last night I realized that sleeping on my side keeps the lower back muscle stretched just enough to stop spasms from starting! I can feel the precursor but it never actually materializes into a spasm. (Yes, when something terrifies you, you becomse hyper vigilant to every aspect of it.)

He also taught me to bring my knees up over my chest to stretch. I have scoliosis & that stretch helps tremendously! It helps prevent some back ache during the day...

Great exercises I watch all your videos a lot. I had a bad reaction to some of the manipulations at physical therapy. After complaining of right side back pain from a chiropractor years ago. The physical therapist had me lay on my stomach while he used his elbow into the hip joint with constant force for 15 min. This sent my hip out of alignment and I have had issues ever since. Some manipulations have there reasons but this maneuver has caused but pain, knee pain and ankle pain it was one injury after another.

Just came across this video because I injured my back.
I would love to be able to get out of bed in the manner presented but there’s a problem and maybe you could add another video to resolve the problem..
    Background:
I was involved in a really bad MVA Feb 4, 2024… that’s 2.5 months ago from posting this.
    So my current challenges:
    Fractures ribs (right side)
Fractures of the Transverse Process of L1.2 & 4
Complete break Proximal Humerus bone on the left side.
I also have Meralgia Paresthetica on the right side.
So… I can’t sleep on my left shoulder but to alleviate pressure to reduce the Meralgia Paresthetica symptoms I do have a system but it’s not one where I can lay on my left shoulder for long periods of time because it gets uncomfortable and painful.
I pulled the pulled the muscle or ligaments in my right arm.
I’ve been using my feet, hooking my foot under my bed to pull up and using my right arm to push.
I’m gonna be getting a bed rail to help me get in and out of bed…
So the one problem is I don’t yet have the strength and flexibility to utilize my left … short of getting a Care Aid, what would you suggest when getting out of bed while my back is healing?
