When I saw who Federer was playing in the first round, I thought, wow are we going to see the first ever US Open Fedal match? We have been waiting for this special occasion to happen for decades. That seems too good to be true 😆. It must also be way too early for Fedal to meet at the first round of a grand slam tournament haha. Then I realized that only one letter changed the entire match, just one letter yikes.

vivek s I was joking. I know they are drawn in such way that they can only meet in the finals - if they both make it that far. It was just funny how Federer was placed with Nagal in the first round, which is almost the same name as Nadal, just change one letter and here comes Nadal 😁. So we still got to see the much anticipated Fedal match at the US Open, and it was just the first day of the tournament hahaha.

Let's see. Should be a very exciting week coming up with the potential semifinals match against Novak Djokovic and potential finals match against Rafael Nadal. It will be very tough for Federer to win the title. I think Djokovic is the favorite to go all the way, followed by Federer and then Nadal. The dark horse goes to Medvedev.

Also Federer has figured out a way to beat Nadal, having won the last 5 out of 6 matches against him. Nadal will need a miracle to either beat Djokovic or Federer at the US Open.
