Depends on the system some tanks have a combo sensor plus a heater. There are separate things.

Thank you for the info. I have Fr Cascadia 2016, and the DEF gauge always shows full, I replaced the DEF Header and a new one from the dealer and nothing has changed still the same. I have purchased the harness but haven't replaced it yet. I am wondering if anyone had experienced the same problem?

Mine shows a 1231 erratic data. The check engine light comes on at just above half tank of def everytime especially after it sits a few days. I erase the code and keep going. Going to do my def level quality sensor this week.
