The frame height is set up by the engineer that designed the truck. Changing the ride height is not advised, please don't do this.

I really need help because this got me scratching my head. 05 5.3 270k. Every once in awhile I'd get a bit of smoke on startup nothing major. Well couple weeks ago I was out running errands. Truck drove great like always. Got home and parked it for a few hours. Had to go to corner store and while backing out my driveway I had no brakes (brake line from master cylinder blew under driver's side door) so pulled back in and also noticed idle was a little off and bouncing like it wanted to stall. Truck sat for 4 days until I could replace the brake line. Well I started it and now it smokes out the tailpipe and has a jumpy idle. No check engine light or overheating and oil looks good with good pressure. I know about the pcv valve problem these have but I don't think a pcv would cause this much smoke. I'm scared to drive it. Weird this happened when my brake line gave out. Help would be greatly appreciated

Hey man I got a question my 04 Tahoe it smokes when I start it but goes away after it’s warm would you recommend replacing the head gaskets or do you think it’s something else it does have an intake leak and I got the gaskets for that but idk if that will stop it blowing smoke till it’s warm curious if there’s a way I could check to see if the head gaskets are actually bad before I go tearing off the heads

Sounds like what I’m experiencing I feel everything I go across and the wind seems extremely rough causing the equipment to look all out wack with the trailer bouncing around

You can adjust your leveling valve with the two screws that hold it on. They have sliders on them to adjust.

Sir I just had a problem with my 5.3 avalanche it's a 04 .. I was driving it out in the rain and the it started like misfiring and smoke came out out the exhaust. I got scared check my oil. It was not Milky I pulled home and it's siting now and the started went out too just my luck

Thank you for the info. I have Fr Cascadia 2016, and the DEF gauge always shows full, I replaced the DEF Header and a new one from the dealer and nothing has changed still the same. I have purchased the harness but haven't replaced it yet. I am wondering if anyone had experienced the same problem?

18 wheelers aren’t 18 wheelers without exhaust smoke stacks. I’m a 90s person I noticed now 18 wheelers don’t have exhaust stacks anymore. The employees that builds 18 wheelers needs to stop listening to their bosses if their bosses are saying we are gonna not put exhaust stacks on 18 wheelers anymore blah blah. Employees need to stand up and don’t be afraid of bosses
