Only works on older trucks, freightliner reprogrammed and now you can't do that any more. The truck is derated by rpm now. Not by speed sensor, at least on the 2016 Freightliner, might try pulling the fuse for the ABS sensor, might work on the newer trucks.
Yeah I tried pulling the sensor on my 2015 and it didn't work. Where is the ABS sensor?
@@josephwinfrey5732 don’t unplug the sensor u have keep the sensor connect but take it out the hold the sensor it work my guy to make it easier on u just buy a new sensor unplug the old one put the new one in the plug and zipper tied it down it get U home or to a shop

Which abs fuse do you remove? There is like 3 of them: ABS BATT1, ABS BATT2 and ABS IGN....Freightliner Cascadia 2016

It works on my 2015 freight liner cascadia. However, since it disconnects speed it throws the ELD off. For me, it continued to log off duty even while I was moving!

So your Def level was reading empty and u disconnected the speed sensor and then your def level went to full? And your yellow/orange check engine lights r still on and u can still drive?

@@Darubini01TV yeah bro tell me about it. That’s towing alone. Everytime I had it towed to a shop they kept saying def sensors were bad. I’ve since solved the issues. Best way to fix the problem!!!!sell the trucks😂

I wanna know how to trick the truck into thinkin' it needs a regen. This way the truck will idle until you actually do a forced reg.
Didn’t work, I’m having the exact issue as you but when I unplug the sensor I still can’t go over 5, on top of that I have another code for radar and the truck is running even worse than before. Thanks anyways

I just tripped this but my acceleration was power much nonexistent
My truck derated and wont go over 5mph (only goes to 3rd and 4th gear). Hear a slight hiss and draw back every time It tries to change out of 4th gear. My stop light came on. Loves roadside came and hooked up PC and said its def pump. Went and bought a used entire def unit. Only switched the pump but still has same problem. I hooked up my scan tool and noticed it saves def tank has 75 percent but then it goes away at times and then reads at times (all while scan tool is connected). Def status, exhaust temp and all reads NA. Could it be that unit that sits in the tank? Is that where the sensor is? If so do you think ifs best to replace that part since I have the entire used unit?
Also what spn code did you get at the time? It takes us truckers banding together to share our experiences and facts about things to defeat the corrupt dealerships and manufactures. They hide and keep everything secret only to rip us off and beat us over the head and all we want to do is drive to make a living for our families. Thanks.
SPN4374/FMI 0 = DEF PUMP SPEED & DEF PRESSURE 👌 engine reaction will be 25% Derate. This code is set whe. DEF pump speed is higher than Normal for given Def Pressure.
need to replace DEF pump if you have this code.
If you buy from junk yard it might cost from 400$ to 1000$ Always call multiple people and dealers.
@@desitruckersinu.s.a2797 Loves “road side assistance” lol said def pump. I didn’t have that code. Fool told me my problem is def pump not working. Turns out It was the def doser valve had burned at the connection. I went to junk yard and just replaced the pump also because I didnt know it was the doser until a few days later. Sad thing is that warning and derate will not go away until code is clear. The manufactures should be in place a default reset once the problem is fixed. Its unfair to consumers that you need to take it in somewhere or buy in expensive reset tool to do so. You could be stuck out in the Arizona desert or in the mountains with no phone service smh
If your doser valve/pump is bad try to disconnect the sensor switch from the doser valve. It bypass the reset requirements it worked on my truck hopefully help someone else.
This does not work on a Isuzu NPR. Just for reference

If it's an automatic transmission the transmission will not shift. depending on the transmission it could only have 3rd gear which would make it hard to start off.
It drives in manual mode, trans doesn’t know when to shift because no speed sensor. That’s how it is in a Volvo, at least

That did not work on my 2016 with a Detroit
it works on my 2016. some trucks dont accept this trick not sure why but there is nothing wrong in trying when we stuck.

Trust me! OTR device failed to regen so I had to use this trick. After I got to truckstop I was able to regen with OTR device.
With my 2017 international, this trick DIDN'T WORK 👎👎
